This book seems to have been written for very young children; I was very disappointed in it. Such a great subject, so shabbily treated.

This was a quick read with lots of photos. There was plenty of space on the page so the text wasn't overwhelming. I did get a sense of Burroughs' life however it never came alive for me. The writing felt flat.

Tells the life story of a man who loved nature. His life his family his everything it goes from when he was a small school boy to an old withered man. A lovely discriptive story of a nature man. At some times a bit boring but a good read.
