Midnight Hunter by Bonnie Bernard Completed Read April 24 2012
The first book of the The Midnight Hunter trilogy sets the character scene extremely well. Physical surroundings not germane to experiencing the characters are kept in check. What stands out the most in Midnight Hunter are the characters. The art gone into them seems natural and this quality induced the reader to endear even the purposely annoying ones.
Foremost is Donna. She is “different” struggling in vain not to be. She has “goddess toes.” Everyone who knows about the trait except her seem to recognize and understand their meaning. Donna is successfully portrayed as a tad socially awkward but of solid internal constitution in spite of her habit of second-guessing herself. Donna is a wholly believable character and nicely paired with her rather mysterious lover, Hunter, who is a rather incredible character. Yet revealing all there is to know in the first book of a trilogy ruins all the fun! Donna’s misgivings and quirks of personality are both convincing and endearing. Desperate for a “normal” and “orderly” life, that she knows deep down is outside the ken of her destiny, this character does most of the heavy lifting in the plot. Speaking of heavy loads, Mo, is another very well-crafted character. Bossy, opinionated and pushy are just a few words that come to mind describing her. But she genuinely loves Donna, her best friend. Both aspects of this rather rough-edged character are well played throughout Midnight Hunter. If this book were a movie, Mo would win, hands down as best supporting actor. Mo is fierce one minute, tender the next; hateful then ogling. There is a reason for it but telling you may be a spoiler.
The interaction of the characters is what kept me reading. The dynamic of secondary family complications was well done for both Mo and Donna. They each have their issues and it adds to their roundedness as people rather than merely characters. After just a short time reading the dialog between the characters, each developed a “voice” of their own in my imagination. That’s not common.
Review by Duncan McGonall, Author of Bread of Fools
Midnight Hunter by Bonnie Bernard Oh so where to start. Probably with the best thing about this book, the fact that a second and a third is already available and for the coup de grace I OWN THEM! I loved this book so much it is incredible. At the end of the book it says Bonnie is an alter ego, she lives with her husband a dog and cats and a ghost. She loves stuff that goes bump in the night etc. What it does not say is that this woman is a genius in her field of writing for new adults. What a misleading term. I am far from a young adult and I absolutely adore this book. I have one plan and one plan only for when I am finished with my next two review books and that is to start immediately on the second book. Bonnie creates a world where Vampires is either nasty or nice. The nasty ones are evil and the good ones drop dead gorgeous but all of them are very, very dangerous. Donna, the female main character develops a very strong sense of self at the end of book one, as she learns more about her toes and . . . Oh wait, you don’t know about her toes. LOL. Go read the book. Dante is adorable if under suspicion, Samee is sweet and you will feel as if you need to protect her. Mo is incredible and frustrating and fun and Hunter. . . well he likes Donnas' toes. This is a world where things that goes bump in the knight collides by taking on positions of power, the local police etc is all either minions or Vampires. The evil kind. Vampires in this book do not sparkle! Which is really cool because after watching the last in the Twilight series I am convinced that married life even takes out the sparkle of a Vampire? Seriously? But I regress. This is a world I can imagine exists. This is a world in which I am very glad I am not. The story is logical and flows fluently. The language is easy and appropriate and the characters are likeable, horrible or detestable. Trust me, by the end of the book you will want to name your daughter Samee and rethink Stephen as an option. Politics comes to play in this book but as a side line and I really enjoyed the underhanded stabs at the immorality of politicians. All in all I give this book a 7 ******* review. This is a must read for all, and for those romantics amongst us. You are going to love this.
I should start by saying I read this trilogy back to back. When I first started the trilogy, I was not so sure about it. I think I just did not connect with Donna. Fortunately, that was by design and as she grew and matured, so did my feelings about her and the books. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters a lot. It was a really interesting mix of personalities. By the end of the first book, I was so excited to start the second one. I have to tell you, that one bonus of having them in my kindle for a while is that the whole trilogy was out so I did not need to wait months to read the next installment. This is not the best book of this trilogy, but I love the series, so I would definitely recommend giving it a try. I liked the series so much, I had my hubby buy me the whole set in paperback for my birthday even though I already have the kindle version :).
Oh man I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to read the complete series of The Midnight Hunter by Bonnie Bernard, and then when it arrived on my doorstep I couldn’t open it up fast enough!!!! My squeals of delight probably could be heard on my whole block. So pretty and breath taking just to look at and then when you start to read the first book in the trilogy you just don’t want to put it down. THANKS SO MUCH BONNIE *angel hugz n luvz* luv ya girl.
When I started this book I thought “ok I’ll read a couple of chapters”, and then get back to my other book that I had already started to read.. but nope I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved it! A very unique look into the underworld and vampires, that will clinging to the edge of your seat just enough and for long enough to have you plunged straight into the next book.
Feeling different than other 7 year olds, Donna has always felt self conscious of her feet, or her toes to be exact. Until one day her Grandma sat her down and explained about why her toes are the way they are, and what it means. Toes like Donnas are proof that a beautiful goddess watches over her and keeps her safe so she can fulfill her special destiny. Making Donna, feel special instead of weird. (I sure miss my Grandma’s wisdom)
5 years later Grandma shared more of her wisdom with Donna. “Someday you’ll meet two men,” she told her. “One will sweep you off your feet, the other will knock you down.” Both from a very dark place where we as mortals dare not go. Donnas is destined to be filled with many surprises, will she be ready to handle them?
9 years ago Donna lost her brother in a car accident at the age of 6 years old, and ever since then she has had a fear of cars driving to close. Her mind set now was to always watch out for terrible surprises!!
Things started to happen; almost being rear ended by a blue Toyota, the car then follows her home. Dreams start to creep into Donnas’ sleep, more like nightmares if you ask me. Of being in a dark forest; smells that she knew, but one also of something else! Fears of not being the only one in the forest fills Donnas mind as she comes into contact with something. What was it? What ever it was INHALED. It grabbed her wrists, pulling her close. The smell of rotting flesh and hate, yes hate!! Wait a minute; does HATE even have a smell? It/he was tall and its skin looked like the rotting smell that she had smelt, and its eyes looked like death!! The scariest part though was that it/he knew Donna… plus the incident that had happened earlier with the blue Toyota. Bringing up memories, which she would rather not relive this soon after them happening. Is this the man who “sweeps” her off her feet, as her Grandma had mentioned? Or the man who, “knocks” her down? This all a dream; or is it?
Then there’s Mo, her constant best friend a vital part of her whole life. Crazy as she is. Dragging her to a Teen night club named “The Darkside”. Running late for school and to pick up Mo because her car is broken down, she nearly runs down a young girl named Samee as she backs out of her driveway. So now we have Mo and Samee.. More weird things, Samee knew who she was without Donna telling her. Hmmm Dang there’s that blue car again, why does it keep popping up?? It was down the road from Mo’s house, as she was picking Mo up for school. Now it was in the school parking lot.
People are going missing, girls who resemble Donna, and nobody in their town seems to care. Not even the police department or the Mayor of their town, WHY? And now we have the Mayor, Michael St James… where did he come from? What the heck is going on?
Time to go to the The Darkside, while waiting in line Donna sees that blue car pass by again, ughhh why was that car always around? Somebody’s watching Donna, she could feel it. Like eyes starring at the back of her head. She couldn’t see who it was or might be. Not even the waitress could see anybody behind Donna, but see thought a guy to Donnas left was. She pointed to where he was standing, but he was gone when Donna looked around, poof! Donna then saw him, and oh my goodness was he handsome. “Go home”, he warned her. He disappeared into the darkness again. She yelled at him, to have the blue car stop following her! Fast forward: Hunter is the mysterious guy from The Darkside night club and he is Donnas Eternal mate and his evil brother Stephen who keeps killing Donna, only for Donna to reincarnate once again.
Dang it, I’m doing it again. Giving away to much! I know there are so many questions that remain unanswered, or that you are saying, wait I need to know the answer to that. I guess that you are just going to have to get this series and find the answers yourself!!!
If you love Demons, the underworld, Vampires and all things scary then this book/series is a MUST READ. And I mean it when I say must read. Go get your copies of this amazing series and dive into the mystery and suspense that awaits you. But I must warn you, you will not be able to put these books down.. Start early, cause you are definitely will be staying up way into the wee hours of the next morning. Only to wake and dive right back in.
Recommendation: YA and up Rating 4/5 stars (I was so torn on the rating between 4 and 5)

The Review I loved this book and cannot wait for Book 2, I thought it was very well written, I loved how Bonnie the author dealt with pregnancy in this book, Too many vampire books don’t deal with pregnancy, I can only think of one and that was Twilight and we all know how that turned out, so kinda hoping it will be the same with Bonnie’s books, would love to see this on the big screen. Bonnie has opened a whole new world to me and I really appreciate that, Thank-you Bonnie, Could I Please live there, I could be Dante’s missus, I loved him, Every-time he spoke, I melted, I don’t know why but when I hear him I imagine it just like how Matthew McConaughey speaks, with that gorgeous accent, that melts every woman within a ten mile radius, I liked Trent a lot, hoping him and Mo will get together at some point in this series, I was expecting James/Jamie to be a minion, I don’t know why, I did have an issue with Mo, she was a lovely character, but she did not seem all that worried about Donna,(main Character) at points in this book, for someone who is her BFF, she seemed more interested in her career than what happened to Donna, she took her to the club to attract the kidnapper, a strange thing for a BFF to do, but I forgave her when I found out she was pregnant, that would put a strain on any relationship, I loved the relationship between Hunter and Donna, he tries to stay away but just couldn’t, the pull was too strong, I love the thought that he waited for her to be reborn each generation, that is a lovely thought, hope my hubby is like that with me, The evil that is Stephen, Hunter’s brother, he was sadistic, a perfectly evil character, I would recommend this book to anyone who fancies a vampire tale with a twist, looking forward to Book 2 4.5/5
I had loads of fun reading this book. I can’t believe it was so far down in my to-be-read pile and it took me so long to get around to reading it. “Midnight Hunter” is a gorgeous, fun, lighthearted, sassy, sometimes terrifying, quick read!
I loved the main characters, but my very favorite character was Mo. She’s fun, hilarious, super feisty and brutally honest…and she has no problem belching loudly in public places. The camaraderie between her and Donna is a familiar one, formed by way only a childhood friendship can. These characters aren’t just likeable, they’re completely lovable. The dialogue between these two girls will at times have you in stitches. But I also have to stress here that the further I got into the story, I found that all is not what it seemed.
As much fun as it was being drawn into Donna’s world, and breaking out into hysterical laughter time and again at Mo’s antics, much of the story thoroughly freaked me out and had shivers running down my spine. You know those movies in which the cops in a small town go really bad and you can’t turn to them for help and they’re actually much scarier than the bad guys? This book will take you right there. And then you’ll get to the parts where some characters start acting all creepy…I’m getting chills just thinking about it. Really, there will be times while reading this novel, you’ll check under your bed - just to be safe.
Bonnie Bernard’s wonderfully quirky writing style is outright unique. Laced with laugh-out-loud humor and choc-full of adrenaline-pumping thrills and chills, the author proves to have a natural knack for taking the reader on a rollercoaster ride of different emotions.
So you, you and you! Whether you’re eighteen or eighty one, this book is for you. Give it a go and then come back here and thank me for enthusiastically for recommending this absolutely amazing five-star read!
Donna McCormick is your average college student....except for the fact that her family has a bunch of money, her brother died a few years ago in an accident she blames herself for, her dreams are being haunted by a nightmare, and her toes. Yes, toes. Her toes are proof that a Goddess watches over her. Donna's grandmother was always imparting words of advice on her. Such as: "Someday you'll meet two men. One will sweep you off your feet and the other will knock you down. Beware - they are from a dark place where mortals dare not tread." Boy was grandma right. Donna's got her future cut out for her. Luckily she's got the help of her best friend Mo, the smart-mouth friend who causes more trouble then help. She also has her Life Partner, the other half of the dark duo grandma warned her of. Now Donna is subjected to a world with minions, demons and vampires.
Welcome to the Underworld Donna. A world that, until now, you didn't know existed. Not only that but you've been born into this world again and again. Each time Donna falls in love with Hunter and his evil brother, who is obsessed with Donna, kills her. Sounds like the making of a great family reunion!
Now Donna is battling for her life, and any normalcy that she used to have. This is the first book in the series, and leaves you with a big enough cliff-hanger at the end that you want to pick book two up right away. It took me a little bit to get into the book, but once I did I didn't want to put it down. I love the characters of Mo, Samee and Dante. Donna and Hunter grow on you, there characters are more complex. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
This is the first book in The Midnight Hunter Trilogy, and I have to say, it's definitely a great start! I enjoyed this book from the very beginning even through the author bio in the back! Yes, I said it! I even read the author bio and it made me giggle!
Midnight Hunter mainly focuses on a young woman named Donna. Even from the beginning, Donna has strange dreams that seem to get a little too close for comfort. Soon enough, she even starts to sustain injuries from things that happen in her dreams.
Donna's friend, Mo, decides she wants to take Donna to a club. What Donna wasn't aware of at first is the fact that girls matching Donna's description had been disappearing from this club. Preferring to stay further away from crowds, Donna head to a more secluded place in the club where she meets Hunter, your typical broody male vampire. We soon find out that Hunter is the brother of the man responsible for the disappearances.
While there are some pieces of this story that do fall into the category of "typical vampire romance," I found myself drawn into this story by parts that were really very unique. I even found myself loving a few of the lesser characters. Really that's something that Bonnie Bernard does very well. She knows how to bring amazing characters. In fact, there was even one character, specifically a weapons dealer, that we only got to meet through a phone call and a few brief mentions in conversations, that I would love to be a fly on the wall to watch inside his shop even for a day!
Overall, I loved this book from cover to cover! If you haven't read it yet, you're missing out!
I was given this book from the author herself to give an honest review! I honestly loved, this book.
Mo kept me laughing from the beginning with everything that came out of her mouth. Vampires, and minions, and underworld things are all in this book.
I truly enjoyed reading about each character in their own little way. Though Hunter made me a little upset at times only because of the way he acts. When I Bonnie threw in the unexpected I was like WHAT oh wow. Can not wait to read in book 2 how this is going to turn out. I do have to say Mo is one of my favorite characters in this book because she speaks her mind and she doesn't care who it offends or what is said. She dresses in her own way and doesn't care about other's opinions. Now being pregnant myself I crave a lot of what Mo craves lol. And with the reference of chocolate chip cookies crumbled up underneath a banana, and I believe drizzled with chocolate syrup. Oh my that just sounded delicious. Thank you Bonnie for that hunger moment for me. :D
Midnight Hunter is about a young woman name Donna who is in danger. She dreams of a man who wants her dead. Now she is thrust into an unknown world to her since she has no recollection of her previous lives. She is learning all sorts of things of what is going on around her. She meets a man name Hunter who wants to protect her, and in the midst of it all not what he seems. If you enjoy action, some suspense, the paranormal then this is the book for you. I honestly bet you will not be disappointed I know I sure was not.
This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
This book has it all, a bit of fear, a lot of thrill and even some mystery and steamy romance. There is definitely no sparkle in the vampires in this book, they are the frightening creatures of nightmares in their true form. However I love how in this book vampires carry traits through with them from their mortal lives, so good people are even better vampires, while evil people are even worse vampires. I like that they are not all evil and out for blood. The characters are easy to get along with, the main characters being Donna who suffers from terrible dreams which seep into her reality leaving her bruised and in pain, her best friend Mo, who is such a good hearted person but can be extremely out there. Mo is probably my favourite as she just blurts everything out and she is rough, no polished edges anywhere to be seen, she provides a smile through out the story with her bluntness and lack of charm. Then there is Hunter the mysterious man in the teen dance club. Gorgeous and mysterious and the key to help Donna figure out her own life and the things that terrify her. Sammee is a very bright bubbly ray of sunshine in a very dim world, but she adds a certain amount of freshness to everything she comes in contact with, even though I think if she were real her perkiness would send me a little bit crazy after a while. Midnight Hunter is such an easy book to read, and I can;t wait to be swallowed up into Dawn Of The Hunter to find out what creepiness is in store for the group next.
Bonnie Bernard did a wonderful job writing this book, it is captivating and intriguing. Midnight Hunter will defiantly leave you wanting more!
Donna McCormick just wanted a normal life, after her little brother was killed in a car accent while she was watching him 8 years ago. Her 21st birthday is one week away; she’s currently a college student and is returning home after living on her own for a while. Donna is being pursued in her dreams by a man who claims to be her Eternal Partner. During her waking hours, she’s cornered by another who claims to be the same. There’s only one problem: neither is entirely honest, or human.. One will try to save her and one will try to kill her, but which one? With death following Donna like a shadow, she turns to her best friend Mo for help. But Mo is a mystery also how does she know so much about the Underworld? Things start to unravel pretty quick and people who you thought where just normal people are not who they appear to be.. Donna must choose, either the mortal world where she so desperately wants a normal life or or embrace the Underworld where her dreams haunt her and nightmares come true. But where she also finds love. Doing either one might get her killed in both.
My review of Midnight Hunter book 1 By Bonnie Bernard
Rating 4 stars
Donna is just a few days from her 21st birthday. Unfortunately she recently lost her job and now has to move back home. Weirdly enough, she has began to have some of the creepiest nightmares ever. As she begins her senior year of college het whole world begins to change. The only constant she has is that her always witty and beyond crazy best friend Mo. Soon Donna finds herself unexplainably drawn to Hunter. He is a long tall drink of water on legs. He also carries around son deep and dark secrets which Donna is set on finding. This book is wonderfully romantic, eerie and inspirational all at the same time. As Donna goes in this journey she learns strength at the same time. The prophetic nigjmares really creeped me out, in a good way LOL. The author has action without being overly busy. It is well written in believable situations that play out in unsuspecting ways. I have to read book 2 now just to see where this story goes......cause theres this little girl curious. A hands down thrill ride for sure!!!!
I was won this book by the author in a competition a while ago, but have only just now got to read it. I'm berating myself for not reading it sooner! This is a fantastic book! I struggled to put it down!
Donna is a great character. She has a very steady head on her shoulders, and when she finds out there's vampires in the world, she doesn't panic. I would certainly be freaking out! Mo, Donna's best friend is also a great character. She is feisty and has a take no prisoners attitude that I loved! Hunter is hunky! Donna is one lucky lady! Not only is he her Eternal Partner, he's the love of her life. There are some other great characters too: Sammie, Trent and Dante. There are also some really bad guys too! Stephen is creepy, but Michael is even more so! They gave me the chills!
Bonnie Bernard has written a fantastic novel filled with action, danger and everlasting love. I am now looking forward to reading the other two books in the trilogy. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a YA book with a completely unique storyline that will keep you hooked!
Loved this book! It is the first book of The Midnight Hunter Trilogy. I loved how the book flowed and how I felt a connection with each of the characters. I love Donna, but my favorite character is her loud mouthed, attitude filled bff. You have to read the book to appreciated Mo, she keeps Donna on her toes. Donna has always wanted a normal life, unfortunately for her, fate had other plans. She has two men in her life, one that would die for her and one that loves her to "death". Welcome to Donna's world, a human world mixed up with the chaos of the underworld. A world with vampires, minions, demons, the good, the bad, the ugly, and the drop dead gorgeous. What all does fate have in store for Donna? Well, you will just have to read the book and find out for yourself, you wouldn't believe me if I told you. I recommend this book to all the paranormal lovers that crave a read that has you biting your nails and hanging from the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read the next book to find out what twists the author comes up with next.
Midnight Hunter follows Donna McCormick who just had to move back to her parents’ house. Her life is in danger, but can the mysterious man in the shadows save her? Midnight Hunter is unlike any other vampire romance I’ve ever read. It was such a refreshing and amazing read! To be honest in the first few chapters I didn’t really get into it, but as and as the story progressed I couldn’t wait to get back from college and read what happened next. The characters and the scenes are so perfectly described that I could picture it all in my head (Trust me its really hard for me to do that :P ) I loved the Grandmother Wisdom part, it was such a sweet one. But my favorite story in the book would be the story of how the organization started... Somehow it seemed funny to me and was probably how typical humans behave in such situations... Also the cover!! *-* I'd definitely pick it up if I saw it when I was passing by a store! All in all I loved the story! It’s a perfect mix of fear, thrill, horror, romance and mystery. Come on, what else could I possibly ask for?!
Although it took a little while to get into the story, once I was I was completely fascinated. The characters are more real than the dreamy types that are about at the minute, with many of them being dark and dangerous. As the story continues, more and more characters are introduced which broadens the story nicely and all of them have their own traits which adds to the detail.
The story is unique with a great mix of twists and turns, action, suspense, danger and romance (which has enough ups and downs of its own to keep you intrigued).
The book is easy to read and the author has done a great job keeping the language and descriptions simple, letting your imagination take over.
This book is the first in the Midnight Hunter Trilogy, and luckily the other two have already been released so I can continue reading straight away.
First I must start this review off by saying I'm glad I had a chance to read it. The plot was flawless and it flowed well. There's action throughout the book that leaves the reader sitting on the edge of their seat. The characters are well written and well thought out. I found myself caring very much so for Donna, the main character. I also found myself laughing at Donna's best friend Mo who seems a bit out there but adds some spunk into the story.
I very much so enjoyed this read. At first it seemed a bit hard to get into but as I read further, I was pulled right into the story. I was honestly up until the early hours reading until I found myself ready to fall asleep. I give this book 5 ***** stars and it totally deserves more.... but on the scale five is the most you can give. I recommend this book to those who enjoy reading about the paranormal world that has a bit of romance in it.
I could not put this book down. From the moment I started reading I was enthralled. It is a refreshing take on vampires. Book One Midnight Hunter First in The Midnight Hunter Trilogy, was full of different twists and turns. When I thought I had something figured out something would happen and throw me off the scent. The story was really well written.
The characters were well written and three dimensional. They just jumped off the page. Donna is the kind of protagonist that you can't hope but root for. She is strong willed, funny, and fights for what she believes in. Her best friend Mo is a bit more reckless but you can tell she really cares about doing the right thing. The antagonist in this story was believable and made me want to see him defeated.
Overall this was a fabulous book. It had humor, drama, romance, mystery, and the sci-fi aspect. I cannot wait to read the next two books in this trilogy. I would definitely recommend it!
This is the first of three books that I have in this series, thankfully. I can just jump from one to the next with no wait time. Donna is a upper middle class college girl who lost her job and has to move back with her parents. Her best friend is a blue haired, hyper, reporter. The action begins when her friend tells her about a rash of missing girls, all of whom bear a striking resmemblance to Donna. She is dragged unwillingly to a teen club where she meets Hunter, a brash and somewhat rude, yet super hot guy. He tells her to leave and from there, the trouble begins. People are following her, she's meeting wierd people, witnesses crimes which no one takes seriously. She has to figure out in time who the good and bad guys are. There are vampires, minions, hitmen, evil politicians, a corrupted police force, family problems, pretty much you name it, this book has it.
I was given this book from the author herself to give an honest review!
I have to say I just LOVED this book and the characters!!! It was exciting, suspenseful, romantic, and funny! The book is very well written and it is an adult book about paranormal and about as we all love vampires! This book is a fast read that will leave you wanting more.
This story is about Donna who is going to college and living with her parents. Her best friend is Mo, who sees conspiracies all around. Mo is one of my favorite characters, because she has a lot of spunk! Donna meets a mysterious and sexy man named Hunter. That is when her whole world turns upside down and she is plunge in a world of paranormal!
I am personally dying to read the next two in the series so that I can find out what happens next!I give this a 5 star review because it is one of my favorite books.
I’m so torn with this book to be honest, whilst the storyline was very good and a refreshing change from a lot of other stories out there at the moment. The writing was really awkward and to me it seemed to jump around and be rushed in parts. This was really distracting at times and had me wanting to throw my Kindle across the room. I’d have felt sorry for it had it been a paperback.
It took me a while to get into the story due to the frustrating writing. After a while, luckily the storyline was good enough to keep me wanting to read. I don’t do spoilers, what I will say is, if you want a fresh idea, with mystery and suspense, twists and turns, then give the book a try. I’ll be starting the second in the series in a few days.
this book was given to me free by the author to read
you will love this book i was up till the early hours reading it and spent a good part of today finishing the book of

Great beginning to this triology. This book has vampires, minions, demons and more. There is a love that can not be broken and has lasted many lifetimes inspite of those that would wish it gone. I like the references to past lives and how they have played a part in the current ones. Donna is a very likable character with the one weird friend we all have. Hunter is the ultimate mate, he is fierce, sexy and protective. All 3 books are currently out, so carve out a weekend and read the whole set!! *****5 stars
I got the chance to read this book and I loved it. It totally different from any vampire book I read before and it doesn't just involve vampires, but other creatures of the night. That are brought into this book into a new whole world by the author. If your a vampire lover you will love this book it has mystery and great love story and each character is unique. What more can you want right! So I give it a five star review because it left me wanting more as the story progressed and made me love the charchters.
I actually am giving this book 7*******s because I really, really enjoyed reading this book. It's of course about vampires good and bad, and lots of shockers and comedy, oh and TOES? Yes and toes!! You will fall in love with all the characters but my absolute faves is a toss up between Samee and Mo!! To find out more get the book and read for yourself. Thank you Bonnie Bernard for an awesome book and I look foward in getting the rest and reading them.

THIS BOOK WAS A.E.W.S.O.M.E.!I loved it!
I was hooked from the very forst moment when I read it.I immediately fell in love with Mo,Donna’s best friend and I felt a deep connection with the characters because of the way they we’re created .
This book is also very unique.Though a combination between Twilight,Fallen and The vampire diaries, “Midnight Hunter” is very unique and special.I loved every single word of it and I hardly put it down.
Bonnie has a very special style-writing.It gives you a special feeling, like you are in love. And you really fall in love with her books and her characters.I totally love Hunter. *blushing*
The author definitely knows how to make you read. This book is full of action and has a very high amount of suspense and adrenaline and you simply can not put it down. There was always something that surprised me and that made my heart beat faster.I loved this thing.
The characters are very well created and described ,I liked that Donna is a twenty-years-old-young lady and not a child.I loved MO,because she is the perfect best friend. She is funny, loyal and smart.Hunter…well,Hunter is just perfect!
Though “Midnight Hunter” is a book with vampires, the fact that they have special abilities from the other vampires we read about makes this book much more different.
Let’s recap:awesome characters,lovely story,nice style-writing,hot vampires,love,suspense=> a very good book <=> “Midnight Hunter”!
Donna is a-twenty-one-years-old young lady. Her life is normal and happy. She goes to the college with her best friend,Mo.The only problem is her parents, who are always fighting. That is the only problem until Mo tells her that in their little town the tall, blondes girls are missing.Donna is a blonde, tall girl.Mo is worried about it and she thinks that a kidnapper is behind the girls’ dissapearances. and she wants to catch him before he catches Donna.
First,Donna is skeptical and doesn’t belive Mo.She asks her best friend why she doesn’t go to the police. But Mo says that the police won’t do anything. Then, strange things start to happen to Donna and Mo.
First,Mo takes Donna to a night club crowded with people sweting and dancing.Nothing special until Mo leaves her alond in a dark corner.
A stranger hot men appears at her table from nowhere and tells her to go home.Donna asks him why,but he doesn’t answer and keeps telling her to go home and then, dissapear in the dark.Donna finds Mo and goes home.
The next time when this happeans, the stranger tells her his name: Hunter! He looks like a Greek God and Donna can’t get him out of her mind.
Another weird thing that hapeans is that the police seems to be possessed by something or someone. When Donna goes to the police officer and tells them that a strange guy in a blue car is stalking her for days, they don’t belive her.More, when she gets out of the office, two cops almost attacks her.She “escapes” when Hunter appears and tell them to leave her alone.
Hunter and Donna meet several times and Donna feels a strange connection with him and falls in love with him.But soon, she will find out that she loves a vampire.Yes,Hunter si a vampire!More,Hunter and Donna are Eternal Partners. This means that every life of Donna, they meet and fall in love with each oter. But their love is haunted bu Hunter’s brother,Stephen, who is an evil vampire who kills Donna every life she lives.MNow,is her last chance. If Stephen kills her,she won’t come back. Now,Hunter and his allies try to destroy Stephen and save Donna.
In the same time,Donna finds out more about her past and her other lifes and her life changes.
Do you think that Hunter will stop Stephen and Donna will live?Read the book and find out.
I recommend this book if you’re looking for something to love!Fans of Twilight,Fallen and The Vampire Diaries will love it,as I did!
