"Sometimes, it's about growth and change; sometimes, it's recognizing who you are at your core and accepting it." Shannon Morgan is an independent, strong-willed student studying fashion design who is truly happy on her own. T.B. Kelvin is a researcher who longs for love, but has a history of failure in the relationship department. Both Shannon and T.B. are convinced that they would be terrible parents and they embark on a child-free life. When they meet, T.B.'s charm melts Shannon's indifference and they develop a strong relationship, which leads to love. With their supportive friends Greg and Steph, T.B. and Shannon begin a life together with engaging careers and a deep love for one another. But age, social pressures and a series of eye-opening experiences challenge Shannon's core beliefs and lead her to want something very different in her life. Shannon's journey will transform her relationship with T.B. and her friends, but will it lead her to a greater happiness or destroy all she has built? Known Quantities celebrates the child-free lifestyle and invites the reader to consider that some people know themselves well, regardless of their youth.
I have been an author for a very long time, but most people have never heard of me, which is fine. I'm an acquired taste working for a niche audience.
Yes, you've found me; I'm one of the last holdouts who believes the art is more important than I am (the artist). Conversely, I will very happily engage with those who find my works and want to discuss it.
Filled with insightful and thoughtful dialogue on the meaning of love and what it means to love someone without needing to change them. Also a look at the childfree lifestyle and why people should believe that others may know their own minds.
The premise and the story are great. The main characters, however, made me want to reach into the book and slap the crap out of them...but that's exactly how you're supposed to react to them. Definitely an entertaining read!
