I had finished up my second or third year of "read the bible in a year" and was just burned out.
I knew it was important to have a daily bible time. This book fit the bill. Each story was of a woman in the bible and how her story connected to me. The bible reading was included as well as a more modern "story " type interpretation.
Follow up bible verses were included as well as a reflection page.
It was short. Relevant. Engaging.

This was a fabulous study on women in the Bible. I liked reading each woman’s possible ‘first hand’ account of the Scripture passage. These really helped you imagine what it might have been like for them to live through their ordeals.

Easy to read
It wasn't my cup of tea. I enjoy the scriptures, questions and the prompts and some of the application. The commentary before the scriptures I didn't enjoy. But that is me.

Such a beautifully written devotion! The descriptive writing places you right in the text as if you were there when these events happened.
