The world's best stories, retold in dynamic graphic novel form. These reinvisioned classics will hook reluctant readers and thrust them face to face with some of history's most famous tales. Stories Robin Hood, Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.
Verne wrote about space, air, and underwater travel before people invented navigable aircraft and practical submarines and devised any means of spacecraft. He ranks behind Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie as the second most translated author of all time. People made his prominent films. People often refer to Verne alongside Herbert George Wells as the "father of science fiction."
Lovely illustrations and retellings of classic novels. I wasn’t the biggest fan of some of the stories’ plot lines, but this was a great way to get an overview of famous works with less of a time commitment.
