Yes! Pulled Long is the third book in the Long Shots series, and the story I’ve been waiting for!!

Ian Long has kept his heart locked away after a series of events has him convinced that everyone he touches will get hurt. Like his sisters, he’s thrown himself into working at the family coffee house and bakery, not only to see it become successful, but because it helps him keep his mind off of “Blue Eyes,” the one man he’d finally started to think might be worth taking a chance on. But Ian’s bad luck still holds true and he finds out that Blue Eyes is going through a divorce – from his wife and Ian isn’t about make himself some straight guy’s rebound experiment. Months have gone by since Ian ran him off, but now he’s back and he’s not taking ‘no’ for an answer.

Okay, after reading the three books in this series I can now say, without hesitation, that Christine d'Abo is an author whose stories I'll be looking for. She knows how to take characters I've only just met and make them seem like people I've known forever. With her comfortable, easy to read writing style and storytelling, she manages to accomplish in a short story what many authors struggle with, even with double the page count. If this is what she can do with a novella, I can only imagine how phenomenal she'd be with a full length novel.

I am definitely looking forward to reading more by this author.

Baby brother, Ian, finds a Daddy! Well, not really, but boy is Jeff hot and sexy. What's the problem? Jeff was married to a woman. Ian's been on that ride before and he isn't interested in another straight man dabbling on the wild side with a gay man. Through a series of misunderstandings and Ian's own personal issues, Jeff is pushed away, hard.

I rooted for Ian and Jeff to come together so I was a bit miffed with Ian and his judgmental ways. I'm glad Jeff persisted. Jeff is way hot and what he does with Ian in Mavericks' had me creaming in my pants. Each scene had me panting for more. Just as it seemed the two of them would be together, they get kicked hard by Jeff's ex-wife. This story moved fast and I devoured every word.

This story was a bit disturbing in the anti-gay sentiments. I understand that there are those who don't like gay men, but to have it shoved into the face in this manner was disappointing. I felt Ms. d'Ado did a great job showing this type of bigotry and being about to rise above it. This story pulled me in hard due to all the emotions it generated for me. I felt happiness, angry, frustration, delight and great arousal. Jeff and Ian are a lovely couple who I would love to watch over and over again. I recommend this story to m/m lovers who enjoy kink and happily ever afters.

I was anxiously awaiting this book ever since I picked up the first in the series. I was very intrigued by Ian and Jeff(Blue Eyes) ever since their flirtation began in book 1. My only real complaint is that I would have loved to have spent more than 91 pages with the wonderful men. They both said more than once during the story that even though they had been flirting for 10 months, they didn't know each other that well and I felt the same way. I wish that we could have learned more about Jeff, about his past, his ex-wife, etc. We do get a brief glimpse into Ian's past and what his demons are but it seemed as though his issues were resolved and dealt with rather quickly. Even though it may sound as though I'm complaining here I really did enjoy this book, I loved Jeff & Ian and there was plenty of wonderfully hot m/m sex - so if that's not your thing this book may not be for you. But if you are a die hard m/m lover like me, I would highly recommend this quick, yummy read!

The Third in the Long series!

I am so glad I didn't have to wait to read Ian's story. Throughout this series I have been watching the growing flirtation between Ian and the mysterious "Blue Eyes"

I was not disappointed! Pulled Long picks up a few months after Paige and Carters story. Ian is still working too hard and too long. The guilt of his past weighs heavily on his shoulders and he fears being alone, always alone. Never being good enough to hold onto something worthwhile without destroying it in some way.

When Ian found out that Jeff/blue eyes used to be married to a woman, he pushes him away. Unwilling to be the straight guys rebound guy. But Jeff knows what he wants and Ian is it for him, he cannot stay away and he doesn't.
When Ian takes a chance on the one person he craves the two explore each other without abandon. This contains extremely vivid m/m sex and voyeurism. The author has a gift of pulling you into a scene that is highly erotic and yet you are able to feel more than the carnal arousal, the passion and affection bleeds through too! It makes for an epic reading experience. I love it!

This was a perfect book for Ian. I couldn't have asked for more. It left me in my happy place:)

Again, Huge Thanks to the publisher and NetGally!

I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book for me was the best in the series. Ian finally found love and I was totally excited for him. It’s no secret that his love was blue eyes. Blue Eyes finally revealed his name in this one and also that he was bi-sexual. That only made poor Ian cringe because he had a bad experience with a man who couldn’t admit he was gay or bi-sexual.

The story took us on adventure after adventure. We even get to met Blue Eyes ex. It was a hot and thriller tale. For those who like m/m romance, this is a must read. But even if you don’t, it’s the ending to a series and you should try it out.

I gave it five stars because it was better than the other two which I gave four. It was more like 4.5, but who’s counting. LoL!

Great read! I recommend for adults as this book contains graphic love scenes. It’s a must for those who enjoy m/m romance.

I have enjoyed all the books I have read by Christine D’Abo, but I really enjoyed this series and this book was my favorite of the three.

This was also the first straight M/M book I have read, I have read quite a few M/M/F & M/F/M so was not sure if I would like it. All I can say is WOW…Ian and Jeff are an awesome couple and the chemistry between them is HOT.

Ian is carrying around a lot of guilt over things that have happened in his life and does not feel worthy of being loved. He starts to give Jeff a chance then when he realizes that he might be falling for him he starts to put the walls back up and runs away. He has to decide if he is going to let the past go and forgive himself so he can move forward or if he is going to stay in is self imposed guilt/pity party.

This series as a whole is a 5 star read for me with is book being a full 5 stars on its own (I rated the other two at 4 & 3 stars)

Love, love, love this book and this entire series. This final installment of the Long Shots series focuses on Ian Long and the man he has been lusting after for months. Much like with his sisters in the first two books, Ian has some relationship hang ups, mostly caused by bad past experiences. Ian had his heart broken by a man who was unsure of his sexual identity, so he is hesitant to get involved with a man who is coming out of a relationship with a woman.

Through a series of events, including sexual exploration, heart to heart talks with his sisters, and exploration of insecurities, Ian comes to realize that he can trust Jeff and that this relationship is unlike previous ones.

Great writing and great characters and honest explorations of sexual identities. This was a very enjoyable series.

What a sexy book. I found this by accident after reading the book before this one in an anthology. My genre of choice is M/M so I was eager to jump into Ian and Jeff's story. I really enjoyed it.

The story is great. The characters are perfect for each other. The sex was hot as hell (lots and lots of exhibitionism). The secondary characters were amazing.

Overall, a fun, sexy read.

My fingers are still tingling from the erotic heat coming off this book. I was completely hooked after only a few pages and refused to stop reading until I had finished. This book had me captivated by its well written plot and titillating eroticism.

Pulled Long was my first book that was strictly an M/M erotic romance and I had mixed feelings going into it. I have read other stories with M/M scenes but it was never the focus of the story so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. This was the last book in the Long Shot series by Christine d’Abo, and I really enjoyed the first two, not to mention that Ms. d’Abo had been leading up to this story throughout this series and I really wanted Ian to have his happily ever after too. I couldn’t not read it because I was afraid to step outside my usual reading comfort zone, it just wouldn’t be fair. I can honestly say that I am now adding another genre of romance to my list of likes, this book was awesome and it opened my eyes to the fact that a love story can be beautiful and the sex just as hot, no matter what gender the characters are.

Ian Long is the co-owner of the Pulled Long coffee shop that he runs with his two sisters. Ian has been fantasizing about the handsome "Blue Eyes", who has been coming into the shop and flirting with and teasing him for the last eight months. Ian than makes the discovery "Blue Eyes" has an ex-wife which means he isn’t really gay, or is he? Ian is one of those characters tortured by their own inner demons and guilt. He is a character with so much love to give but fears that his love does nothing but hurt those he loves. I really loved Ian because he wanted so badly to be loved but he just didn’t think he was worthy of it, and I knew he was.

Jeff "Blue Eyes" Carson is Ian’s love interest in Pulled Long and he comes across as this sexy man who is honorable and aggressive. He has been showing his interest in Ian from the beginning of this series and it has ramped up the sexual tension between Ian and Jeff throughout. In Pulled Long, Jeff is finally revealed completely as an alpha male who knows exactly what he wants and he wants Ian with a single-mindedness that borders on obsession, and is extremely sexy. He wants to get to know Ian on all levels and explore the attraction between them; he just needs to convince Ian that it is a good idea.

Ms. d’Abo has written Pulled Long from Ian's point of view, and although I would have liked to have gotten into Jeff's head, I was mesmerized by Ian's thoughts and feelings and felt like I was there with him the entire time. Ms. D’Abo kept me on pins and needles with her descriptive prose and rich dialogue which kept the story moving at pace that was absolute perfection. The events leading to the climax of the story were believable and there was no rush to the end.

The heat in this story was volcanic; Ms. d’Abo built up the love scenes with foreplay and emotion that had me turning the pages to see what she would reveal next. I have a fascination with sex club scenarios and this one did not disappoint, it ramped up the anticipation and the action, making my heart pump faster and accelerated my breathing. Jeff likes to give a blow by blow account of the people that are watching and what he thinks they are feeling making it that much more exciting. The love scenes and sex in this story was explosive and exciting and I did not expect to feel that kind of emotion from a M/M story and I was proven wrong.

I am a rigid reader, who doesn’t add sub-genres to her TBR list very easily but after reading Pulled Long, I have added the M/M sub-genre to my list as well as Christine d’Abo as an author. I encourage readers to run and get this series and prepare to have your socks blown off.

Rating: B- ... Heat: Sizzling

Warning:

This story has male on male love and multiple instances of exhibitionism.

Review:

Even though I, ahem, really enjoyed the brief m/m between Paul and Josh in Double Shot, I was both excited and apprehensive about my first full-on, no females admitted, male on male story. Not sure why. I guess I thought it might not trip my trigger since I am of the feminine persuasion, but Pulled Long proved that unfounded theory wrong. Love is love and all that. *wink*

It most certainly helped that I have adored Ian from book one. He is charming and has a fun sense of humor and you can tell he cares deeply for his sisters. His sisterly love, of which, has him wearing himself into the ground. Ian is working tirelessly so that his sister’s can enjoy their love lives… Because Ian doesn’t have one himself. And hasn’t for a while. Probably because he is filled with deep hurts and keeps himself emotionally distant. Even from his months-long crush, Blue Eyes. Past experience has him weary of love in general, but he is down right leery of men who also like women.

And Blue Eyes, aka Jeff Carson, has himself an ex-wife. When Ian finds that out, he immediately puts space between them. He’s been down that road before and it ends no where good. Jeff has his work cut out for him, that’s for sure, and has to try a more forceful tactic with Ian. And even though he may technically be a ‘virgin’, he knows he’s bi and he knows he wants Ian completely.

Pulled Long is full of hot male lovin’ that is, when combined with Ian’s desire to be watched, seriously kinky and passionate. I’d say I give it a big thumbs up, but then I’d start thinking about what Jeff did with his digits and…. I will leave you with this:

Jeff teased the underside of Ian’s cock before he pulled back and added more lube to his fingers. “I love how you open up for me. You’re still nice and tight even as you loosen. Means I’ll still be able to feel you squeeze around me.” Jeff scissored his fingers, stretching him wide.

My Review:
I have been anticipating this book throughout both of the other two books in this trilogy. Ian and Blue Eyes have had a flirtatious relationship throughout this entire series. If anyone deserves a good romance, it is Ian. He works so hard at the family coffee-house and he needs a good reason to take a break.

It broke my heart in the last book, when Ian found out that Blue Eyes was going through a divorce and rejected his attentions because of it. You could tell at the time that both men were devastated. Ian's last relationship went wrong when his love interest was sexually conflicted. Ian doesn't want to go through that pain again. When he hears that Blue Eyes has been married to a woman, he immediately thinks that Blue Eyes is simply playing a game and experimenting with his sexual orientation, but there is more to the story than that.

And so the book starts with a midnight visit from Blue Eyes where he finally reveals his name, Jeff. OMG, I love the way that Christine laid this book out. The opening scene between these two men was so perfect with the build-up that we have had with their relationship in the last two books. There is no denying that they are both incredibly drawn to each other, but Ian is leery and Jeff is unwilling to go halfway with their relationship. It makes for some explosive, emotional situations between the two of them that kept this book sizzling from page one.

These two are great characters together. Both of these guys own their own business so they are both really intelligent, confident people, but Ian seems more vulnerable in this book. He doesn't want to get hurt again. Jeff is definitely the more aggressive of the two. He knows what he wants and he is okay with pushing to get it. There is an exhibitionist aspect to this novel (this is erotica) that makes this book so incredibly hot, but at the base of it all is romance and love and it is gorgeous!

This has been a fabulous series. I am a huge coffee lover so the setting completely worked for me. I enjoyed the push and pull of the relationship between the three siblings...it was written to be so true to how things really can be between siblings. Having the influence of the sex club, Mavericks, across the street provided some really hot scenes. If you like erotica, I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful series by Christine d'Abo!

I LOVE this series! I totally love Paige, Sadie and Ian , and all 3 of them totally deserve the happily ever after they deserve.

Ian especially - he works the hardest - I love how dedicated he is to the coffee shop, and how he loves his sisters, and always putting everything above him. He's a sweetheart.

But he has a past - one that has him feeling guilty and frustrated. Hard to focus on his own life when caring for someone ends up hurting them. So what's a guy to do?? nothing.

In the last book (Shot in the dark) just a the end, we found out the old "Blue Eye's" was in the middle of a messy devoice ... to a woman - Ian and Blue Eyes had a good thing going , they flirted, they talked... it was an ongoing relationship that neither of them felt was official - So when Ian found out Blue Eyes was married to a woman - he kicked him out... why?? Because Ian was afraid of being "THAT GUY" who was nothing but an experimental fling. Either Blue Eye's wanted a man, or a woman, but how could he be perfectly happy with him?

Jeff - Sweetheart to the heart - This guy is a classic - they don't make men this wonderful anymore.

Sure Jeff has had problems, his ex- wife wants to get back together with him, and he's struggling through hours upon hours of work - when you own your own company, you gotta put in the hours - Ian knew this just as well as Jeff did.

So that one cold rainy night in November when Jeff stepped off the curb and walked across the street. Looking into the coffee shop at midnight and seeing Ian doing paperwork - those ol' blue eyes that haunted Ian's dreams... Ian let him in.

HOT Scene! lol sorry (Love the M/M action from this book - it's by far one of the BEST that I've read *blush* )

Seems like these two have a certain secret fantasy in common - And how I would DEFINATLY take advantage of that fantasy if I were near by :)

All I can say is HOT STUFF! Loved this book A LOT!

I'm happy for this hard working family - all 3 of them deserve their happily ever after.

Now I heard from the Author that there is going to be a new one in January with Josh's story - I'm SO Excited for that one!

I am not a fan of m/m books, they are just not my cup of tea. But every so often an author can write a series that throws this pairing in and slowly through the other stories has me rooting for them, making me excited for when they will be the featured couple, and that is what happened with this author.

The slow flirting between Ian and Blue Eyes has been a slow build up, to the point where when I knew the next book was going to be about Ian I really, really wanted Blue Eyes to be his love interest.

After learning more about Ian and I can see why he had his hangups and why he pushed Jeff away. But I was glad that Jeff didn't give up on Ian. Their interlude in the coffee shop was just what Ian needed to get past being in his head too much and it opened the door for more. Their first date turned out to be spectacular. The truth or dare game allowed them to get to know each other better and amp up their attraction.

Even though things seemed to be good with them, their own pasts seemed to get in the way. I was glad to see that these issues made Ian deal with things and made them both realize just what they really wanted, each other.

I loved how Sadie and Paige jumped right in and gave their opinions about Jeff to Ian. They helped him see when he wasn't able to.

I would love to see more stories within this series, would love to see Josh happy and the new female domme in this story intrigues me.

I really enjoyed the third installment in the Long Shots Series. Finally, I know who Blue Eyes is! He is Jeff, a man with a past, but his desire for Ian is real and sweet.

Ian, the mastermind behind the coffee of his family's coffee shop has had a bad past. Things go wrong that are not his fault, but Ian still takes the blame. A relationship between his father and him is destroyed and Ian blames himself. A failed relationship with a weak man who blames Ian, and loosing his mother to cancer, Ian thinks that he is better off working and being alone. He can't get Jeff out of his mind though. Bless Jeff for finally making a move. This book does have a couple of scenes from the sex club Maverick's that is featured in the previous two books. There were only a few love scenes but the sexual tension and interaction between the two were great. This really was a sweet story. Both men had to face and deal with certain aspects of their past and decide if being together is truly what they wanted. Don't worry, there is definitely an HEA. I recommend this one to readers of the series or readers just venturing into m/m erotic romance. I look forward to Josh's book, Maverick's owner!

Pulled Long by Christine d'Abo

This is the third book in the Long Shot series.

This is a short story about two men at the beginning of their relationship. Ian carries around a lot of guilt and believes that bad things happen to people he loves. Jeff has been flirting with Ian for months and wants things to work out between them. Both have a few things to work on.

When Jeff stops by one night late they end up kissing and fooling around in the front of the coffee shop Ian owns, there next date they have supper and end up in a sex club. Jeff then asks Ian to a work party and low and behold they end up having sex in the bathroom. Getting caught puts a damper on things this time around. This novel is about new relationships, trust and letting go.

Christine d’Abo has an easy to read writing style and she tells a great short story. I am definitely looking forward to reading more by this author.

I was ready for this book having seen the interactions between Ian and "Blue Eyes" in the previous books.

Ian is hesitant at first since Jeff, aka Blue Eyes, has an ex-wife and Ian has been burned by someone wanting to experiment. But their attraction can't be denied and it turns out to be explosive between them. Jeff is confident in his feelings for Ian, but Ian has lots of issues to work on. We learn more about Ian, things he has kept hidden from his sisters. I enjoyed getting to know both characters and seeing their relationship develop. Of course they have that typical obstacle, but knowing that they would be together was all that mattered.

A great conclusion to the trilogy, and I’m glad that Ian’s was saved for last.

Pulled Long is he only one in the series I have read and it worked out just fine.

Ian has kept himself locked away after his hear had been broken too many times. He thinks he ruins those he cares about. Blue Eyes walks into his coffee shop and he is instantly smitten. Until he realizes Blue Eyes was married at one point, to a woman.

Jeff flirts and tries to get Ian to open up but it just won't work. Until one rainy night, Ian finally opens that door. Their connection is hot and undeniable. Add in some exhibitionism and public blow jobs and I'd say it's downright kinky. But before Ian and Jeff can make it long term, Ian has to forgive himself for a past that wasn't his fault.

Definitely worth the read, even if you have not read any others in the series.

ARC from Carina Press on NetGalley!

3.5 stars This is a sweet novella about two men beginning a relationship. Based on the description, I thought the recently divorced would be the more gun-shy of the two and the focus of the story, but it turns out that Ian is the one with some issues to deal with. This was a nice and surprising turn. And although he was comfortable with being gay, we got to see him deal with some other stuff and heal some previous emotional scars. I enjoyed their interactions as well as both of Ian's sisters. There was some light D/s injected in at points and it was a nice little treat.

Pretty good m/m romance about Ian, a coffee shop owner who's been fascinated by and flirting with a handsome customer for months... until he found out the customer was in the process of getting divorced. As he didn't want to be some straight guy's rebound, he backed off. I was annoyed by the whole martyr thing that Ian had going on - that's a trait that drives me nuts. If that doesn't bother you as much as it does me, you might enjoy this more than did I.

I am just lovin' this series. The books may be a bit on the short side, but they pack a punch! I believe this is the last book in this series, but I could be wrong. I really enjoyed all three books, but I do think that this one was my favorite. I am not usually into MM books, but since I had started the series I figured what the heck and I read it. I enjoyed it immensely. All three books by Ms. d'Abo in this series are fabulous and my only complaint is that they aren't longer!

Ian Long owns a coffee shop with both of his sisters working with him to keep the business going. Sadly, ian has bad luck with relationships and tends not to trust very easily but is very attracted to a man he callls Blue Eyes. The man had been coming into the shop quite frequently and the chemistry seemed real from both sides. However, Blue Eyes hasn't been in for a while until one night after midnight when the shop is basically closed by Ian decides to let him up to warm up, seeing him outside.

So it is that Ian Long and Jeff Carson meet again and have some intimacy together. A few days later they go to eat together and then to a sex club called Maverick where anything goes. They find themselves exploring and having fun together.

But before Ian can relax into the relationship, they have to go though some rough times, attending a party for one of Jeff's clients, basically ending up leaving in anger. Ian has a lot to recover from, including almost debiliting guilt from a situation long ago with his father.

It's a long way to self acceptances and the possibility of a relationship, and takes effort. It has a lot of intimate and real sexual activity so it is entertaining on that level and it is a plus that the people seem real in the story. I recommend it to anyone that likes reading about male to male relationships that really get into the inner lives of both men.

A quick read. A on again off again gay romance. Are Ian's insecurities too much for him to allow Jeff to love him.
