This is one of the series I don't LOVE but have decided to keep until I can binge the whole thing once it's finished... but I'm not sure why I chose THIS one, other than it's one of the handful of sci-fi "isekai" stories vs. the glut of stories where the other world is a high fantasy variant. I think that's all it has going for it, especially since this is the "beach harem" episode, as it were.
On one hand, it's nice seeing Hiro sort of get what he wants—a nice relaxing planetside life, even if for a few days. (No cola, though...) On the other, I'm absolutely not interested in reading it again, except in the context of whatever happened last volume (which I've long ago forgotten).
I don't know.
Recommended if you read the prior volumes, or the light novel. NOT recommended as a starting point.
Hiro and the team are attacked on the beach while they are on vacation/guard duty. Lots happens as this one introduces a new character that is sure to be in the series for many many volumes to come (if not the rest of the series). This issue felt like an adventure straight out of Robotech, but in a very good and fun way. This vacation island totally run by robots has an amazing defense system, but what happens when a full-scale attack pushes it to it's limits??? As stated in previous reviews, this is a fun series that does not make you feel anxiety over the characters life or death scenarios but rather gives you a fun romp throughout space. Fun times in this latest volume.
This is SUCH an enjoyable manga!!! I have been reading both the light novel/ranobe (ラノベ) and the manga and it’s just so much fun!
This book is a sprawling sci-fi epic and isekai (異世界) comedy adventure filled with likable characters and a bungling but confidently endearing lead character.
In this volume, we take a break on a resort planet and enjoy some fun, almost-naughty moments, until…
