What happens when Lucas, a grumpy gym owner, meets Mia, a customer who's 20 years younger and loves to push his buttons? He gives in. But Mia's teasing confidence falls fast in the face of some kinky punishment. Meanwhile Lucas falls hard for the woman who won't let anyone take care of her.
Gym Daddy is an age-gap romance with sexually explicit scenes and daddy kink. This book is not suitable for younger audiences.
I am just continuing to strike out with these book recommendations 😑
***SPOILERS*** Both of these characters are annoying. Mia clearly has issues surrounding commitment and Lucas doesn’t think he deserves love or maybe just doesn’t like things that are uncontrollable?
There is great playful banter as they start to get to know each other but when they go on their date to the concert everything just really goes to shit. He tries controlling how she acts and she gets annoyed with him even though she knows she’s putting him in a situation he isn’t familiar and comfortable with and then she gets mad and upset seeing him talk to someone his age so she leaves the concert? Like they are both dumb but the part that really annoyed me was that during their breakup she blames him for everything saying he walked away from her and was acting childish when she was literally the one who left him at the concert because she got upset seeing him talk to an older women and then instead of trying to work things out she avoids him and then gets upset during their conversation? Like both of them absolutely were dumb but she took very little responsibility in things not working out for them.
Also in order to get her back, she says he has to do something that will tie them together so he won’t leave? Be fucking for real right now like please grow up sweetheart 🙄
I didn’t love it or hate it. I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it. The chemistry between the characters was there but also at the same time I really don’t wanted to slap both of them at one time or another. I kinda wish there was more to their story.
I enjoyed the major spiciness of this novella. The kinks and fun times were great. The parks where Mia showed emotional growth was also lovely to see. The connection outside of sex was nice. I definitely want Lucas to be my gym daddy now (minus the gym part because no thank you).
What basically ruined it all for me, was the third act break up. I have never been a fan of that in a plot anyways, but the way it was handled made me mad. All the blame being on one person was ridiculous because they for sure both had a hand in it. They were both being immature and I feel like they both should have apologized. I honestly did not like Mia’s studio friends at all. They made the whole thing worse in my opinion.
I will read it again for the spice, and skip chapters 14-19 all together.
I loved this book!!! I won it as a giveaway and the author personalized the inside cover with my name and also sent stickers that related to the book's characters. I've never read an age gap romance before and in my opinion, it was perfectly written. The book follows main characters, Mia and Lucas who are 21 years apart. He is the owner of the gym and Mia is a member of the gym. I loved Mia's attitude and Lucas's compassion and overprotectiveness of her. There are a lot of detailed sex scenes so just be ready for that when you read it lol. Overall, I really enjoyed this quick read, and I would recommend to anyone looking for a spicy romance age gap book!
Fuck Bookstagram for making me read this steamy age gap romance. Man, I have issues. There's a 3rd act breakup, and it ends with a bang. Literally.
Honestly, there's really no plot. I didn't grow to like the characters or really understand them, really. It was good smut. Quick read, literally read this in 2 hours.

The whole “daddy” kink I don’t think is for me. The book was okay. It did have spice, which is always a plus. Mia and Lucas were frustrating though, first they wouldn’t act on their attraction and then they acted like kids arguing. Glad they finally got together in the end. Also, the spelling/grammar mistakes were a disappointment too.
a storyline with potential, but i would prefer it to be a bit londer. because it is a short story it a bit too fast pass. characters are good as well is the writing
They need therapy, if they already go they need to find themselves a new therapist. Cause so much of that could have been avoided, but they also just irritated me in general soo 🤷🏻♀️
