Since being abandoned by his mother at the age of ten, construction mogul Josh Harrington has carried scars that have affected his every decision. Including forcing the only woman he’d ever love out of his life.

His guilty heart demands he seek forgiveness, so he vows to find her. Considering the lies he told to make her leave, she’ll never forgive him. But it’s nothing short of what he deserves.

Abandoned by love, Heather McClure counted on her new commercial design job in The Big Apple to be a new start. Six and a half years later, she flees an abusive relationship and returns home, ready to reveal her secret whether Josh forgives her or not.

Before Josh can undergo his search, Heather reappears. Can their love survive the truth? Can they let go of the past to find the family each of them desires?

If you adore big-city romance and stories that pluck your heartstrings, this second-chance, secret-baby romance is for you.

Have you had to ask for forgiveness? Has asking for that forgiveness been difficult? I think we can all say yes, but to some, asking doesn't come easy. That's where the story of Heather and Josh comes in. Within redemption, and the pages of their story, they teach us that asking for forgiveness is hard but it's easy when it comes from the heart and you have faith in God. It wasn't easy for them and the road they traveled was very hard. With Gods love, redemption and forgiveness, could they conquer all that life had to offer? A story of redemption, a story of hope, it is one that will keep you on the edge of your seat, one that you'll cry with the characters, and one that will touch your every fiber. Kristy has brought forth the subject of forgiveness in this story through redemption, a subject that is hard for us all, only to help us to make it easy, easy to do and bring so much peace to our hearts. Join me for this beautiful read that will captivate you! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. The review is my honest opinion.

Redemption by Kristy Werner
Tulsa Town Romances Book Two
After it was too late, Josh Harrington realized he’d made a big mistake six and a half years ago. He saw everything through the eyes of his ten-year-old self when his world changed forever and scarred him so emotionally. Now, Josh has a second chance to make things right. Can he find forgiveness for the past to move on to his future?
Heather McClure had been so hurt when Josh sent her away. She left and took her secret with her. She’s back in Oklahoma after things went badly in New York. Home. And she had to face Josh and tell him all. Will she meet the monster he’d been the last time she encountered him?
They both have a second chance if they put the past behind them and trust God to guide their future. Loved the characters and storyline. You may want tissues handy if you are a crier.

Things in our past can have SUCH power over our ability to move forward into the future. Both Kristin and Josh find this is true in Redemption. As the characters take bold steps forward by going back to chip away at the fear, regrets, guilt, and questions of the past I found myself doing the same. What a wonderfully introspective tale of the healing power of forgiveness and love. The journey is not always the one we set out on when we are young, but it’s the destination we arrive at that matters. Do it. Read this book. Your heart will be lighter for it.

Circling Back...

to places of redemption for more than one of the characters in this second book of the Tulsa Town Romance shows how everything we do in life matters. Demons born of rejection meet their collective match as Josh and Heather must face theirs. Kristy Werner does a great job of unwinding painful memories and the freedom that forgiveness brings. Highly recommended reading. I'm on to Book Three.

This book is a feel-good love story about two people that learn how to forgive like the Lord has forgiven us. It is romantic, without being graphic. I would recommend it to anyone that loves a good, clean romance. I did receive a complimentary copy from the author and I was not required to write this review.

Beautiful story that had me reeled in from the start. The story has such a powerful message of forgiveness and how even though it is one of the hardest things to do it can also free you and allow better things to happen in your life. This is the second book in the Tulsa Romance series from Kristy Werner and both books have been wonderful and uplifting reads.

what a great writer!

This woman writes an incredible novel. The characters are well-written as is the story line itself. I literally could not put it down. I read Book 1 yesterday, Book 2 today and will read Book 3 tomorrow. I had never seen a 4.9 rating before so that is why I picked it up to read. So worth it!

I’m giving this a 4, but I would choose 3.5, if it was an option. The plot is fine as are the characters, but there is way too much repetition about his angst with his mom and all the bad decisions by both Josh and Heather.

The book would be better a read and more powerful if it was shortened and the writing tightened up.

I loved this story! Josh is regretting his decision to send his true love away 6 years ago. So, he decides to go after her. In the meantime, she shows up to see him. They have a lot of unresolved issues to deal with. I recommend this book to everyone who likes contemporary fiction.

This is one amazing read.

I just fell in love with all the people in this marvelous read of redemption. Josh and Heather's journey to their happy everafter. It had some twists and turns in it along with God's forgiveness and His peace. It is a great read.

As with Kristy’s other books I’ve read, I love how she tackles real and gritty issues. This was also a different take on secret baby and I loved their mature communication over it and working through how God’s forgiveness impacts our ability to forgive others.

From the opening scene of a scared little boy, you’ll follow Josh’s story as he learns to forgive not only the person who hurt him but also himself as he fights to win Heather back. Redemption is thoughtfully written and filled to the brim with emotions while including sprinkles of charm and laughter.
