The second installment in the Sentinel Rising Trilogy.
***It's been three weeks since the Blood Moon pack issued their threat.
Three weeks since Violet realized she was having premonitions.
Three weeks since she was called a witch.
With the fate of all the clans on the line, more questions than ever, and her heart hanging in the balance-Violet must decide if she will go in search of help and answers or stay to fight beside her clan. Either decision could be fatal.
After Blood Moon's brutal assault three weeks ago, Patrick knows it's time to leave Sentinel Clan. But when new dangers arrive, he will do whatever it takes to protect those he loves; even if it means making deals with his darker half, and revealing secrets he's been hiding for three and a half years.
While Sentinel Clan's alpha grows more unstable and their luna's health continues to decline, Jax struggles to change his ways in order to save his clan and mend his relationship with his twin. But when Blood Moon's strikes become more strategic and their numbers continue to rise, he worries he may be too late.
Crystal Frost is a transplant, and current resident, to the snow-capped mountains of Utah. When she's not working on her writing, she spends most of her time being a mom to three rambunctious children. She can also be found reading, talking to herself, helping others through fitness, pretending to write, hanging out with her husband, quoting movies, attempting to be an artist, staring at the stars, obsessing over books, Harry Potter, Zelda, and mugs, and attempting to train her crazy, hyper-excited poodle Merlin.
I LOVE MOON & RUIN! 🐺 I laughed out loud, held my breath, yelled, squealed, and cried ugly tears. Sun & Blood was so well written and a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read for me. Moon & Ruin continued the story perfectly and blew me out of the water. Is 6🌟 an option?
I could not put Moon & Ruin down! If I had a wolf, my eyes would be ablaze as I growled when my husband interrupted me in the last 50 pages. I was on the edge of my seat from suspense and excitement. Moon & Ruin was full of twists and after finishing it I wanted to start it over again and see what I missed!
The Sentinel Rising series is now one of my favorites. Did I buy Sun & Blood for friends because I NEED to fangirl over it with people? Yes. I cannot wait to see what Crystal Frost does next!
Book 2 is even better than book 1!! At the height of the clan wars this is non-stop! Violet, Patrick, Jax, Lexie, Aidan, and Maya are back and their stories are intense! I laughed, I cried, I was scared and angry, there was triumph and loss! The conclusion of this trilogy is sure to be amazing! Cannot wait!
Violet’s story takes a rollarcoater ride. Crystal was able to draw you into the world of the Sentinal clan, making you feel every emotion and moment so vividly.
With unexpected twists and turns, vulnerable moments between our favourite characters and action packed scenes that are so well described, Moon and Ruin is everything that could be asked for and more!
I could not put the book down and finished it within one day. It is truly amazing, I can’t wait for book three!
Oh. My. I was not prepared for this book… it grabbed me and literally sprinted through the story at full throttle… this book was so INTENSE!! And the twists and reveals… man… I didn’t see any of them coming… just… wow… Crystal Frost, I don’t know how you did it, but this book was amazing and terrifying all at once! I love the characters, the fight scenes, the epic battles… but the cliff hanger!!! Why!!!?? I’m so glad I already bought book 3 because it is killing me! I HAVE to know how this ends!! And the reveals later in the book just… *applause* this is seriously the best wolf series ever! There was no sequel slump at all and the characters all grew and felt so real… just… chef’s kiss! If you are debating on reading it… just go read it!!!
I am a fan of werewolf/supernatural books. It is very hard to find good clean books in this genre and I was sooo happy to find this series. Crystal Frost immerses you into the world with vivid imagery that you can read on the big screen. From dynamic characters, an every twisting story, and memorable moments, Moon and Ruin is and exciting addition to the world of the wolven. I laughed, cried, cheered, and yelled at the author. I may have had a cookie or two! Finishing the book in just 2 days, staying up late after putting kids to bed. A page turner and I can't wait to see how Frost wraps up the series.
I also can't wait to see what other books Frost produces.
Crystal clearly defines her characters. Moon and Ruin leaves you wondering what will happen next and wishing the next book was written. You bond with certain characters, which is a result of her excellent writing. It is a battle, and therefore a bit bloody at times but there's nothing offensive in the language. At times I was cheering, laughing, holding my breath and so much more. A very compelling read.
Moon & Ruin: Sentinel Rising, Book 2 is a thriller! Non-stop action, that leaves you on the edge of your seat. I had a hard time putting the book down to sleep! There are twists you don't see coming and it's written so well! I enjoy the slow burn clean romance. I cried and laughed. Crystal Frost is an incredible author, who knows how to draw out your emotions and keep you reading! Great job!
The romance got annoying and things were disjointed. Something would happen and then it'd be brushed off, and forgotten until the next book. Character's actions didn't always make sense and align with the characters. One moment an action is such a big deal and the next no one cares about said actions. But I did finish the book in a day and the story pulled me right in.
Again, a great book. This second in the series was just as good as the first. But, if you hate cliffhangers, don't start the series. There's no language, but there is violence. It's not as gory as you might think given the nature of the story. There's also no sexual content other than kisses.
Patrick and Violet's story keeps getting better and better. They turn 18 and thing have really heated up with the Blood Moon wolves. I cannot wait to see what happens in book 3.
