I would scorch the earth for the woman I love.

Being a dragon had always been my legacy. But not one I wanted anything to do with. After losing control the first time I shifted, I’d been exiled off to Blackwood, left to rot in the shame of my crimes.

I was meant to be a hero. A protector. The defender of my fae homeland. Instead I became the scary story they told their children at night.

Believing I belonged in this prison, I never considered a future beyond my punishment. Not until I met my mate. Dahlia is a gift I didn’t think I deserved and now I want more with her. We all do.

Her beastly Viking
Her mad pirate
Her vengeful god
And me, her imprisoned dragon

As tensions mount at Blackwood, it’s more obvious than ever we have to do everything we can to keep her safe. But the wheels of fate are turning and I’m not sure there’s anything we can do to stop what’s already been set into motion.
Not without having to become the very thing I most feared.

The Ripper’s come to Blackwood in search of new victims, but if he dares to lay a finger on my mate, he’ll find out what happens to those stupid enough to touch a dragon’s most valued treasure.

For fans of Supernatural and American Horror Story, USA Today bestselling authors Meg Anne and K. Loraine are thrilled to bring you another installment in the Mate Games Universe.

Warning: The Mate Games: Death is a spicy paranormal series with a cast of antiheroes utterly devoted to their heroine (even if they haven’t realized it yet). It contains a cursed Novasgardian berserker with primal energy, a dastardly pirate captain who deals in pixie dust, a possessive fae dragon shifter who is fond of hand necklaces, and a mysterious Southern gentleman who’d show her what he liked if only he could remember.

✅(🆗) Main character
🆗 Overall apocalypse plot
🆗 Ripper plot

3.5 stars

I would have loved a little side of plot with my smut.

Seriously, it was not that bad, but once again, I feel that the plot that was developing in the first book was relayed to the second plan in favor of Dahlia developing her bonds with her men, and the men bonding together. Up until the 50% mark, not much happened besides bonding times, and Dahlia trying to master her powers (but even that seemed to be secondary to her having sex left and right). I loved that there were more meaningful interactions between the characters, but the lack of action made the book a little boring at times too.

When we finally reached the middle of the book, the Ripper plot started progressing again, thankfully, but it was resolved so quickly and easily. The identity of the Ripper is finally revealed, and sadly, it was not that shocking to me. I’ve had suspicion that this character was involved in some way in the shady shit going on since the first book so I was not surprised to discover that they were the Ripper. The true identity of this character was a surprise though, so at least there’s that. Still, the whole Ripper plot had been building up since the first book, everyone was wondering about this serial killer, only for them to be revealed, to explain quickly the hows and whys (but I am still unsure about their motivation), and to be dispatched shortly after. It did not live up to my expectations.

Also, we are still pretty much in the dark when it comes to Death’s plan to enact the Apocalypse, and there is only one book left. I was hoping to see more of it in this book because so far I don’t feel like I’ve been reading a book about a group of people trying to prevent the Apocalypse like was the case with the previous 2 series, I feel like I’ve been reading a smutty reverse harem with some plot here and there, but I struggle to see the bigger picture.

“Can I tell you a secret?” she whispered conspiratorially.
“I want all your secrets, goddess.”
Her soft intake of breath sent a rush through me. “I’ve always been a sucker for the hot villain.”
“Given the stable of men the Fates have selected for you, that’s hardly a secret.”

Cain finally has his memories back, so he stopped being a jerk to Dahlia, and it is nice to see another side of him. His confidence and aura were quite appealing.

Tor remained pretty much the same, always there to care for Dahlia, but slowly gaining more control over his beast. He’s a big softie deep down, he’s just hiding it underneath the whole Berserker beasty thing he has going on.

Kai was the steady, more thoughtful presence in this book, and I loved his quiet presence and the way he was always there to support and reassure Dahlia.

Cas is as funny and unhinged as always, but his madness is getting worse in this book, and I am curious to see how the gang will deal with it and help him remain in control.

At least, with all four men finally being able to accept that Dahlia is their mate and that they will have to learn how to share, the smut was much spicier in this third book.

I have to say though, that the part where Sunday, Kingston, Noah, and Caleb met with Rosie, Ben, Pan as well as Dahlia and her mates was hands down the best part. It makes me want to reread Sunday’s series.

Overall, it was not a bad book, but I am ready for the plot to move forward and for Death’s plan to get clearer. I like smut and hot men, of course, but I also want something to happen besides the gang just chilling and waiting in Blackwood for the rest of their lives.

Oh wow, okay I'm SHOOKETH (ethethetheth, you get the picture), we finally know who the ripper is!!!! I know, I wasn't expecting that either.

Somewhere around the halfway point I did start to suspect that character, but that's still 2 and a half books where I suspected nothing. And then there was another crazy twist...my heart can only take so much, it was such a good twist though.

I loved the plot of this book, everyone bonding (in all the ways), Dahlia getting better at her powers, spooky restless spirits causing chaos and frightening a poor Viking, the ripper subplot (of course), Cap'n Hook going full on coo coo, the whole gala madness and the chapters we got after Dahlia finally picked her dress...and of course the crossover!

We got to see not only my love my life Crombie, but also the past players of the Mate Games, yes, all of them. It was so heartwarming seeing them again, having them interact with Dahlia and her guys for more than just one scene. I need this type of crossover in the final Mate Games series too, pretty please.

I also loved the Ice Planet Barbarians and Pirates of the Caribbean references, I was literally waiting for a scene like "but you have heard of me" to occur ahhhh. I'm so happy.

Cas carried the humour on his back this time around, but don't worry, the other characters got some funny lines too. And that whole thing with Tor & the ghost was so funny, I feel so bad for laughing at my poor baby.

I feel like so much happened in this book, it was SO hard to stop listening. Though it always is because the writing is perfect, the story excellent, the characters lovable and the narration amazing, but things are really cooking up now. That little reveal at the end made me wonder how Dahlia & her mates will get out of this one.

Speaking of, Hook is still my fav no question. But see, I have a dilemma now, a biiig Kai shaped dilemma. WHY IS HE THREATENING MY WHOLE MATE PYRAMID HELPPP?? He really shone during this book and impressed me so much. I almost wanna say I wasn't familiar with his game, but hell, I WAS, he just stepped it up. I'm obsessed. Just a lil tiny bit.

My opinion on Tor is still unchanged, my lil cutie pie, but Kai might be usurping his position...NOBODY tell him that though, he doesn't need to hear the negativity. Cain is also more or less the same, I love him to bits just like the rest but he's not making me question my whole existence like Kai is right now. There's still time for that though.

Anyway, if you're not reading this series or listening to it, you are seriously missing out and I feel so bad for you. I'm having the time of my life every time I open a new Mate Games novel. No pressure, but...GO READ IT!!! This series is literally art, I will accept zero criticism.

“We are destined. Your soul has been bound to mine for lifetimes. I’ve scoured the earth searching for you since I lost you. And I’ve loved you to the depths of my being. Every moment.”

I honestly cannot get over how good these audiobooks are. It’s such a brilliant audio with a full cast. The narration enhances your experience. The men devote themselves to her, devouring and saying all the right things. It makes you laugh. Has great banter and the spice is perfection. Chapters 17 and 30-32 sent me in a delicious spiral. In order of favourite MMC goes Tor, Cain, Kai and Cas As this is the third book in the series reaching the end I feel as though I am putting the pieces together of why this is all happening but all answers are coming in the final book. Finger crossed.

This is the 11th book in the entirety of The Mate Games world, and I am still blown away every single time at how Kim and Meg can still shock me at every turn!! And you just thought that Hades was going to be the biggest plot twist...

With a full cast Hateful Prince is an audiobook lover's dream! Stella Hunter and Samantha Brentmoor carry the entirety of the female cast including my favorite little witch, Moira. Gah, I have really missed her.

Not to mention the men, oh yes there are many of them!! One of my newest and most favorite narrators, John Hartley, then there is James Joseph the Brit with some of the best accents around and did I mention Jason Clarke and J.F. Harding? Yeah, those last two are enough to have your knickers ablaze before the end of chapter three.

Let's get back to the story though because THE STORY! FFS!! I just thought Sunday and Rosie had a rough go at it, just wait until you see what is in store for Dahlia! Don't worry though, in true Kim and Meg fashion there is more than enough spice to keep your heart racing right up until the very last page.

I realize this review is very lacking in what occurs in this book but that is kind of on purpose. Hateful Prince is book three in The Mate Games: Death series and you must read the first two books before you get to this one. If you don't, you will be completely and utterly lost. Just know, this series keeps up with the previous two series in the Mate Games world with a bit of added wing k!nk if you catch my drift.

With only one book left in this series I am eager to see what is in store for our girl Dahlia and her delicious but disturbed men.

Holy smokes, batman!! Mother of Pearl and goodnight to all things holy! I have no words!! When the book ended (spoiler alert, it's a cliffy), you know those cartoon slow blinks with the sound effects?? Yeah. I'm pretty sure that is what my face was doing! I don't know how I am going to get through for another month. Lol. I need to know what happens. I will say. The freaking refrences and one liners throughout this book had me busting a gut!! I love how the dynamic keeps getting stronger between them! It makes my heart happy, I also am re-listening to this book. I devoured Hateful Prince! 1 day is all it took. And poof just like that cartoon face of disbelief when it was finished. Ugh! I love Meg Ann and Kim. Their ability to deliver story after incredible story is mind-blowing. They are two very talented authors that suck you right into their world that you can not help but have a grin the size of TX as you are reading their books. Loved Hateful Prince and I will not so patiently be waiting for the conclusion of the Mate Games:Death. Hahaha.

Dang… I can’t reiterate how amazing the series is, and while I am likely being swayed by the exceptional full cast performance on Audio, it’s a unique plot and exceptional writing within a trope many authors have botched.

***** KIND OF SPOILERS AHEAD BUT KINDA NOT… AKA SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT PAID A LICK OF ATTENTION TO WHAT THE PLOT WAS NOT SO SUBTLETY HINTING AT ****

There’s a fine balance needed to not make the “daily life in the human world, but maybe things aren’t as they seem, now realizing I could have a mental illness/breakdown but instead I guess this is real, to I have powers?, ok I’m freaking out, WTF I’m super powerful and somehow linked to a millennia-ages old Greek Goddess… and now I’m supposed to to WUT?!” trope corny or childish.

BTW… is this a trope? Bc I feel like it should be.

Regardless… this was expertly done and has me hooked! (pun intended 😜)

This book leaves off where book 2 left off. Caine, or Hades, finally remembers how he ended up at Blackwood. He had found his Persephene, Dahila, and was drugged and taken when the hospital wouldn’t let him see her. This book was off the charts good like all the books these authors right together. The narrators for this book was also top tier. You learn a lot of info in this one. A lot of the pieces are falling into place for Death. The south in this one was also so dang good. All the men brought their A-game in all the ways. Tor has learned more control and the same goes for Kai. Hook, or Cas, has been slowly slipping into madness. I am so ready and not ready for the next book. There were also a couple of surprise visits from past characters in this one. So much has happened in this book some of it makes sense and some of it I’m waiting for it to hit and be like H0e why didn’t you think about that. I love these authors they really know how to suck you in their stories. PLEASE DO NOT EVER STOP WRITING TOGETHER. You two are like a power duo!

(audiobook) Character development, plot advancement, relationship evolution… A lot is going on in this book, and that’s great.

Though Tor has made peace with his berserker form already, and Cain has recovered his memory, they’re still coming to terms with their identity and their powers. It’s now Kai’s turn to accept the monster in him. And he’s magnificent once he lets the dragon out. The authors sure gave it their all. Caspian too is discovering things about himself. It’s a whole process for all of them, and it was interesting to see how they deal with it.

It’s connected to their relationship with Dahlia. As a catalyst of some sort, she’s helping them reach their full potential. But she’s learning new skills too. Book after book, it becomes clear she’s way more than a famous romance author, or even the survivor of a cult. Between her blooming powers and her very special love story with four males, she’s at the center of the plot–though Kai almost steals the spotlight.

Another character finally comes into light: the mysterious serial killer haunting the asylum. At the very end of the book, all is revealed, and then some. I won’t even give a hint at the truth though, it’s better appreciated as a surprise.

And if six important characters wasn’t enough, you get lots of scenes with the other residents, and a number of cameos thrown in. That may be the only problem I had with this book. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing all those characters again. But as they’re mostly voiced by the same narrators, it became hard to follow, even with their distinct voices. It was a bit crowded, to be honest. And besides a couple of characters necessary to advance the plot, they felt like fan service and nothing more.

As it’s become a–well appreciated–habit in those series, the multiple lovers are a source of both a lot of sexy and a lot of humor. Their interactions make for delightful conversations. As the story progresses, they also learn to work together, in and out of bed.

Despite the part where they all voiced too many characters, the narration was once again excellent. They always get the characters’ nuances–intensity here, playfulness there, some vulnerability when needed. Now to wait for the apocalypse in the final book.

Quickie

- Series: The Mate Games: Death #3 (linked to the other Mate Games series, ends on a cliffhanger)
- Hashtags: #paranormal romance #reverse harem #fairytales #asylum #serial killer #ghosts #virgin #amnesia
- Triggers: violence and multiple deaths, mention of past cult activities, gruesome horrific scenes
- Main “couple”: Dahlia Moore & (Tor Nordson/Caspian Hook/Malakai Nash/Cain Alexander)
- Hotness: 5/5
- Romance: 4/5
- + a lot is happening here, A LOT
- – all those cameos make this book crowded

Oh, baby doll…. Hateful Prince by K. Loraine and Meg Anne was a dark, twisted, and alluring paranormal why choose romance that continued to leave me guessing, swooning, and laughing (seriously, these ladies had me cackling) from start to finish. This is book 3 in the Mate Games Death series and must be read/ listened to in order. Beware of falling even harder for Dalhia and her men, and yet another cliffhanger ending!

This audiobook is performed in multicast duet-style narration, and this cast once again left me speechless and in awe of their spectacular performances. Stella Hunter’s portrayal of Dahlia’s budding confidence and sass was endearing while Jason Clarke’s performance of Tor tapped into all that growly possessive goodness. JF Harding delivered a dominant Southern accent that was powerful, godlike, and irresistible. James Joseph’s performance of Cas was spot on with his comedic timing and intrusive ticking paranoia while John Hartley showcased Kai’s charismatic and protective persona. Samantha Brentmoor’s light, flirty tone for Kiki added the perfect touch of comic relief. Also, it was so much fun to hear all of these narrators reprise many of my favorite characters from the Mate Games War and Pestilence series.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a PNR why choose romance with a confident passionate romance author, an arrogant pirate, a possessive beastly Viking, a protective tattoo-giving dragon, an encouraging dominant shadow daddy, a hilarious bestie, an adorable Asshole, truths about the past, creepy dolls, ghosts, zombies, fancy galas, catching up with all your favorite characters, group steam, a shocking climax, and a cliffhanger ending that will once again leave you wanting more, then you will love this book! I can’t wait for Heartless Villain!

What a struggle. This was my least favorite of this series iteration. Dahlia got on my nerves and the repetitive sexy times and lack of plot mechanics was problematic. I was so bored and really had to work at keeping my focus on this so I could finish. This isn’t as good as the other two series story lines or Sunday and Rosie.

At about 88% the story starts to pick up again. And barely because there is still some irritating Dahlia happening. Kinda sad the authors had to bring in characters from the other series to make this more exciting.

I feel this series could have been 3 books at most. There was a lot here that could have been scrapped and combined with what I assume is going to happen in book 4.

I’m going to give book 4 a chance, but I don’t have high hopes of me not skimming through it.

I love the comedy in this series and the style of both authors, always cheers me up and keeps me engaged.

Cain has been my favourite from the start, but during this book he has proved himself to absolutely be my fav so I’m claiming him as mine 😂. His ‘Show and Tell’ comment had be in stitches.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this story develops in the last book as usually I have a better idea of what’s happening, but this time it’s still a mystery to me. I feel like there are so many questions, but I trust K. Loraine and Meg Anne to wrap it all up in a sexy bundle of hot misfits and Demi-gods! And I am 100% here for the ride! Also, I hope to hear more from @rsehole! Love that pup 😂.

The audio book is outstanding, as always, and the cast is spot on. The addition of Shane East as a cameo is always a welcomed surprise!

Can’t wait for the next book!

Let's start with a holy f*cking sh*t! These authors do not f*cking disappoint. So far this is my favorite of the series. The representation of Hook's madness and the relationship he cements with Dahlia had me swooning for more Hook! I loved all of the characters in this series but Shadow Daddy will always be my favorite. That delicious man with his shadow tricks can call me Baby Doll whenever he f*cking wants! That out of the way...holy f*cking sh*t once more for chapters 31 and 32. I have already advised the authors that I'm sending them a bill for new batteries and potentially new chargers, because f*ck those scenes were just beyond yummy.

I went the audiobook route and these narrators did not disappoint. Stella Hunter is f*cking amazing, J.F. Harding and his honey voice, James Joseph and his delicious British accent, Jason Clarke and his domineering voice, John Harley with his delicious Scottish accent and Samantha Brentmoor as Kiki had me in stitches. Perfection of a cast! So, definitely recommend to listen to this b*tch if you are into paranormal romance, group activities, a nice plot and some panty melting narrators!

The majority of the writing in this books leaves me feeling unnecessarily angry: mash mountain? broccoli trees? swollen nether lips?!?!?!?

Dahlia is like one of those annoying, cringey, ‘chaotic’ millennials. She makes me think of that woman in the video who started doing that weird dance when her food is brought to the table, or that woman who describes herself as a 28 year old toddler that spills everything (tiktok).

She requires four men in order to feel powerful and strong and confident. Her anxiety only eases when they are around, I get they are her mates and supposed to support her, but come on! We want a woman who is powerful in her own right too, who can be strong in herself and not rely on men all the time. Her constant anxiety and ‘babbling’ perpetuates the idea that anxiety is ‘cute’ and girls with anxiety are ‘quirky’ 🙄

The romance isn’t romancing, there is nothing solid about her connections to her mates other than fate and sex, none of these books has me eager to read more or ‘ship’ the relationships between the FMC and the MMCs.

Also, quick thought, is there any POC? I mean it’s been a while since I read the War and Pestilence books so I could be wrong… but is everyone white (or purple in the case of Pan)? Why is everyone white?

Just when I think Meg and Kim can't top themselves they do, this series just keeps getting better and better. There are no words for the excellence that is Hateful Prince but I'm gonna try.

Dahlia, Tor, and Kai are great but I need to talk about the troublemaker and Shadow Daddy. Cain is a whole new person and I like it. He's most definitely giving off sultry vibes and his devotion to Dahlia is swoon-worthy. As for Caspian, we finally get his full story, and things about him make a lot more sense. Cas's story tugs at my heart a little especially considering his losing his freaking mind. Literally.

This book had one of the most entertaining plots I have ever read. It was laced with humor (laughing so hard I snorted) and magic, there's all kinds of crazy and I don't just mean because it's an asylum, there was a "Chucky" like incident and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Not to mention two crazy plot twists, one of them being the most creative plot twist I have ever seen. It's the linchpin and no one could have seen it coming. With everything going on I almost forgot that a serial killer is still on the loose who, by the way, gets unmasked. It's madness and I loved it.

Hateful Prince was spectacular! Kim and Meg had me laughing throughout the entire book, I couldn't put it down. There are a lot of things going on and nothing has been solved. If the pattern holds Heartless Villain is going to be the last book and I still can't figure out how Meg and Kim are going to wrap things up but I'm excited to find out.

Hateful Prince
The Mate Games (Death, Book 3)
By: Meg Anne, K. Loraine
Narrated by: Stella Hunter, John Hartley, James Joseph, Jason Clarke, J.F. Harding, Samantha Brentmoor

No, I cannot get enough of this fun, spicy, why choose paranormal romance! Each one builds on the one before and it keeps getting better and better. This is the 3rd book in the series and Dahlia certainly has her hands full...in more ways than one! We feature Cain this time, and he has been my favorite of them so far. The leader of the underworld and Dahlia's mate, he is past the swoon mark and his dog is the absolute best! Add in a crazy pirate, an jealous viking and a dragon and it's a party just waiting to happen. These amazing characters all meld together as they are trying to all be her mate, and the danger just keeps lurking and getting closer. And I can't forget Kiki, the best friend! She keeps things real and fun. Always a pleasure to have her around helping pick out clothes! Favorite phrase for this one? Cuddle puddle. How great is that? Just another reason to pick this one up and not only laugh and love but hope as the next release comes out that some of the open questions finally get answered. Meg Anne and K Loraine have outdone themselves keeping me engaged and wanting more!

The cast is beyond reproach with their incredible narration too! Each voice brings a different chill and excitement as they protect and love Dahlia. Jason Clarke, JF Harding, James Joseph and John Hartley work so well together creating their masterpieces and pulling me into this crazy world. Stella Hunter and Samantha Brentmoor add to the fun with the women in the story, giving all the feels, the crazy diagnoses and the spice! It's a party each time I hear this duet style narration. And then Shane East pops in and gives a cameo performance. This could not be better and I can't wait for book 4!

This is book 3 of the third mate games series and I’m still blown away every time I read another installment in this fantastic world they’ve built. I never want it to end. I’m not going to make this super long or go in depth about the book for the sake of not spoiling anything, but I think this might be my favorite series yet. Just how incredible the minds of Kim and Meg are for this in depth of a saga and to incorporate the previous series into each new series is just perfection. We finally get some questions answered, like who the ripper is! We get to see the magnificent dragon in all his glory. And the theories that are newly starting to form as we round the corner to the series finale are great.

In addition to the fabulous minds of Kim and Meg that created this world, the voices that bring each character to life are *perfect*. Honestly Meg and Kim have changed the audiobook world by doing full casts and the voices they’ve chosen are 🤌🏻

More Surprises . . .

We are pulled more and more into the story as we see the progression and connection occurring among Dahlia and her unusual men at Blackwood Asylum. “Kai” is the Fae dragon shifter who is haunted by his past. Tor Nordson is the berserker demigod who could lose control of his beast if he becomes angry. We have a pirate, Captain Caspian Hook. And then there is Cain Alexander who had lost his memories but now claims to be Hades and Dahlia is his forever love, Persephone – although she denies that part. You will love the fast action of this book as the twists and turns keep coming, along with intrigue, suspense, drama, humor, and plenty of emotions. And now that the Ripper has arrived at Blackwood for more victims, Dahlia’s men will have to be extra vigilant to protect her. Grab your copy and join this crazy group that will capture your heart.

I couldn't believe how amazing this book was! It picks up right where book two left off, with Caine (aka Hades) finally remembering his past and how he ended up at Blackwood. The action and suspense had my heart racing the whole time. And let's talk about the narrators - they were phenomenal! This book gives so much insight into Death and there journey, and the chemistry between all the characters is electric. But be warned, there are some unexpected twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat. I am eagerly anticipating the next book - I have to know what happens next! And let's not forget the surprise visits from past characters, adding even more depth to this already captivating story. These authors truly have a gift for storytelling - I never want them to stop writing together. They are a powerful duo that never fails to deliver an epic read!

This one was nonstop action. Also, while there are serious things going on, there's a bit of comedy. There were times I was laughing due to some conversations or one liners.

I love the setting for this one. I keep waiting for them to breakout, but then I feel like it would change the overall feel of the series. The men are great. Now that we have an insight on Cain, I feel like he makes more sense. I love her connection with all of them.

This one is left on a cliffhanger. We finally get an answer to one of the main questions (I kept thinking throughout this whole book that they HAD to be behind it.) I can't wait until the next. If it's anything like the previous ones, we will need to hold on for the ride!

I am still loving this series and am sad that there’s only one more book.

I loved that Dahlia built her relationship more with all of the men and that the men are working together more to care for her (even if a couple of them are still a bit grumpy about it at times 😂)
Their banter with each other and even with Dahlia is hilarious.

I’m so curious to see what’s going to happen with Death in the next book. 😬

Stella Hunter, James Joseph, Jason Clarke, John Hartley, JF Harding, and Samantha Brentmoor rocked the audio! They are all amazing and are so fun to listen to. They’ve brought these characters to life in the most amazing way.

This series is progressing very slowly. Dahlia, who I loved in the first book, is starting to act somewhat ditzy, and we mostly just read about the MMCs when they're having sex.

When Dahlia eventually realises that Blackwood is an inescapable prison, she waits an entire book to mention it. Her frequent reckless choices, often made alone, lead to unnecessary complications that could have been easily avoided. The pacing remains erratic throughout, and the identity of the Ripper has been glaringly obvious, with multiple characters noting their suspicions about him, rendering the eventual reveal anticlimactic.

Overall, this book dragged on, and I don’t plan on reading any more of the series. I doubt there will be anything worthwhile in the last book, just more of the FMC struggling with her powers, Hook going mad, orgies, and vague mentions of the apocalypse.

Such a fun series. it's got a simple plot and formula and the stereotypes are as expected. Spicy scenes are 😳 I enjoy this quad of characters way more than the first of the series... I think captain hook is my favorite... and it's setting up for the last of the series already; including some preview plot for the next books. I am enjoying this little universe as a fun distraction where I do not need to think too much and just be.

Excellent

I am absolutely loving this series! The storyline is great and one of the plot twists I didn't see coming (I guessed part of it, but not all). The characters are just wonderful and I can't wait to see how it all wraps up!! I also love how the narrators are bringing each character to life!!

The authors did it again! I've been obsessed with this series and every time a new book is released I can't put it down. This book saw so many twists and now the ripper has been revealed!! No spoilers, but this book was so good! The perspective of an author a the main character is unique and I never get tired of it! If you're debating on this book or series, you should read it!.
