Had the opportunity to read an early version. As someone who hasn’t personally experienced infertility, I gained valuable understanding about how to better support those who do. No empty platitudes are offered here. Just the voices of fellow sufferers being tender, practical, encouraging, and most of all, honest.

In this collection of devotional readings, both men and women share brief reflections on their journeys with infertility. Each reading is two pages long, and they begin with a Bible verse, share a brief story and reflection, and conclude with an example prayer and takeaway message. The authors’ experiences vary, and they share different types of encouragement for people in various stages and paths of their infertility journeys.

The authors cover different facets of the topic, sharing encouragement and advice for spiritual, relational, emotional, and practical issues. I sometimes wished that the readings were longer, since the authors could only share a tiny snippet of a story in each one, but the brief readings will appeal to readers who are busy and overwhelmed.

Although the authors share the same faith, they come from many different backgrounds and have taken different journeys through infertility. The diversity of perspectives strengthens this book, and it can encourage any Christian who is going through infertility. I especially appreciate the inclusion of men’s voices, since so many books on this topic are only written for women. I would recommend this book to struggling couples, and to people who want to better understand the impact of infertility.

I received a free copy from the publisher through Amazon Vine in exchange for an honest review.

Praying Through Infertility” is an emotional and tender three-month devotional for both women and men who are experiencing infertility. It also offers guidance for others who hope to support them.

With Scripture verses, personal stories, prayers, and applications, this well-though-out and smartly structured book is comforting. If you are experiencing infertility this book is sure to encourage you. It also makes a thoughtful and meaningful gift for those experiencing the same.

I commend the author for including both men and women, since both are affected by infertility.

First Line: The memory is vivid: the doctor sitting there quietly, his hands clasped and resting on the desk while my wife stares vacantly at a lamp in the corner and I search the floor for something to say.

WOW, this is such a powerful and encouraging book. I have family members that have struggled to become parents and it is always discouraging to see them through the struggles of Infertility. I know that they were also discouraged to be asked quite often "When are you going to start a family?" I LOVE the layout of this book and the encouragement through the scriptures and daily devotions. Praying as a couple through the process of Infertility and possible blessing of becoming parents is a great start for couples. With God all things are possible, including the journey to parenthood. I HIGHLY recommend this book for couples who are needing encouragement on their Trying to Conceive journey! GREAT BOOK!

A lot of people I've known and will continue to know in my life have had challenges with infertility. It can be a devastating time for many and this book provides a lot of little reminders and excerpts to remind those that are so inclined, how prayer can help them through this difficult time. There is no easy way forward, but this book can be a supporting ear for those that need it.
