In the summer of 2009, one man set out to read all four Twilight books, one chapter at a time. This is the product of the reviews for the first book, Twilight.

When not writing/recording reviews or editing, Oshiro engages in social activism online and offline. Anger is a Gift is his debut YA contemporary fiction novel.
I really like this concept. Mark Reads is a website and he takes an unknown book (one he has never read or maybe even heard about beyond the basic premise) and goes through it chapter by chapter critiquing and guessing the plot as he goes.
He has started releasing them as ebooks and so I had to buy this one. It is the book that started it all, and his read through was hilarious.
Probably not for super fans of Twilight or anyone who can't take a bit of ribbing about the series.
I hate the series so I loved his sarcastic/cynical take on the story lines.
Rediscovered Mark Reads 15 (!!!) years later. His passionate reviews bring me back to a more entertaining time on the internet, but also remind me just how much I hated Twilight. For my own mental health, I should probably stop here.
Whether you're a fan of the Twilight series or not, whether you've heard the criticism, or whether you're just in it for some escapist reading.... it's well worth your time to have READ a review of the book and/or series written with some critical thought and analysis in mind.
The good news: Mark has done the hard work. Bonus: it's entertaining.
And when you've done that, go download the RiffTrax [http://www.rifftrax.com] commentaries, pop in the movies and you'll have hours of entertainment. If you appreciate the Twilight world as seen through Mark's eyes, you'll love it.
