The backcover makes it sound like there is going to be a major rift between Takuma and Mina in this volume but this doesn't come to pass. Instead, there is a lot of deep concepts addressed and Mamoru stealing the show (as it should because he's an adorable all around character). There is hints of more coming down the line but for now its one of the slower installments in the series.
Also read Jiro Sugiura's "The Fake Alchemist," all 5 current chapters. It was good! A little weird in it's central relationship though... A bit tired in its setting, but I liked the minutae details, probably since I haven't read or watched that many isekai, haha...!
