I really enjoyed reading this but needed to take time over it. Kellett's use of phonetic spelling to render the appropriate sounds made me take time to thoroughly enjoy the stories from the New Testament and the way they were 'translated' into the Broad Yorkshire dialect. I don't think that it would have a wide appeal to anyone who hadn't come from Yorkshire, other areas of the UK with strong dialects or had visited for long enough to hear the dialect being used.
I really enjoyed this book. I was lent it by a friend and not being from Yorkshire myself it was quite interesting to see the use of language, didn't fully understand it all but got the jist of it
