This book, aimed at 6th to 12th graders, is a good surface level exploration of the basics of Norse mythology. It is easily digestible, has a few well picked art pieces, and is organized nicely. We learn about the Vikings, the influence Norse mythology had on them, and the creation, pantheon, and popular legends of Norse mythos.
Exploring Norse Mythology isn't super in-depth, but it isn't meant to be. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
Randomly picked this up from a display at the library. Interesting book, meant for younger audience. Unfortunately, the Christian crusades destroyed a lot of the old mythical records. Found it interesting that the Norse mythology had predicted an end to gods and humans and Vikings liked the appeal of Christianity because it sold a story of gods and humans not ending.
