Too bad Evers is so sold on the pyramid, nevertheless, she presents some creative ideas on getting kids interested in nutrition with books, activities, puppets, you name it. She gives the reader - teachers and parents alike - ideas on how to make food and nutrition fun (with some adjustments however to a few of the details, i.e. low fat etc.) I will use her ideas in the home and hopefully in the kid's classrooms in the future.

This was a good resource for me right now for what I was looking for...a good, thorough--but easy-to-skim--text outlining the hows and whys of teaching kids the importance of good nutrition. I liked the inventive ways to present the information to young people. I think this would be a valuable resource for both parents and teachers--whether they're looking for an introduction or more in-depth details.
