Tayton remembers Christmas, Valentines, birthdays and all the conventional anniversaries. He’d always assumed this made him one of the good guys when it came to special occasions, but his new submissive celebrates the anniversary of damn near everything.
Tonight seems to mark the date of an anniversary that’s particularly important to Denny. Unfortunately, Tayton has no idea what it’s the anniversary of…
Kim is a thirty-three year old bisexual submissive from Wales (UK). First published in 2008, she has since released almost 100 BDSM erotic romance titles ranging from short stories to full length novels. Having worked with a host of fantastic e-publishers, she has just moved into self publishing.
While she has occasionally ventured towards other pairings, Kim's first love is still, and probably always will be, Male/Male stories. But, no matter what the pairing, from paranormal to contemporary, and from the sweet to the intense, everything she writes will always feature three things - Kink, Love and a Happy Ending.
This is definitely one of the most romantic BDSM stories I have ever read. I normally hesitate to put ‘sweet’ and ‘BDSM’ in the same sentence, but I can’t see how I can avoid it with this story.
Tayton is clearly a Dom, but he is also extremely understanding and supportive of his sub’s need to celebrate anniversaries. I guess the way Denny celebrates them (by offering himself) may have something to do with it. While he is a strict master from everything we see, he also clearly cares for Denny. We find out how much in a nice little twist at the end which made me smile.
Denny is a submissive down to his bones, but he will not let that stand in the way of marking the anniversaries that are important to him. He has found a very clever way of handing control to his master, though, so he never crosses the line I absolutely adored the explanation for why he does this. We can all learn from it!
If you like hot BDSM that comes in a package of sweet romance, yet is no less kinky for it, and adore D/s with a heavy dollop of love thrown in, I am sure you will like this story as much as I did.
This is a short story but has a lot of great emotion and feeling to the story. This is sort of a peak into one special day in the life of an established sub and his master. It was touching to see Denny put some much work into his surprise for his Master. Then to watch Tayton try to figure out what anniversary his forgetting and getting upset when he thinks the anniversary might not be about him. Quick but satisfying read.
I found I could barely remember this after I finished.
The idea is rather cute... a sub obsessed with anniversaries to enjoy every moment with his Dom because he feels unworthy... but I don't think it is well-explored here... I don't feel like there was enough character development to care about the characters.
Sweet and steamy short m/m romance about a dom who arrives home from work to discover his sub has things set up for an anniversary celebration... but he's not sure what anniversary it is they're to be celebrating.
I started to read the book and immediately thought that I had already read it. Had to double and triple check. Nope. Fresh meat, but with familiar taste ;)
It is so hard to review these super-short books! Let's just say that for the length of the story, it was (as always with Kim Dare) an entertaining story.
So very sweet and cute and so romantic! I love the little celebrations in life along with the big ones too. And Tayton and Denny know just what and how to celebrate.
Sweet romantic short; D/s not BDSM. Although very short indeed, we get a suprisingly full picture of Denny's personality, and he and Tayton seem like a couple I'd like to get to know better.
One thing I didn't like: the story is only 78% of the file. Because of how the story finished, I felt a bit cheated. I thought I was about to get more, but it was only a tease. I do not like a chunk of filler at the end of ebooks.
