The Reckoning & The Reaper

Rate this book
Elisa and Tasmin have fully reawakened, their powers have been restored, and the demon Eve has been defeated. As the New Year rang in on a high note, one would think life could finally get back to normal for the witches.

However, with the arrival of Tasmin and Octavian’s long-departed daughter Attalah , the witches and their men are rocked in ways none of them could imagine.

Then there’s Archangel Raphael, unceremoniously dumped on the witches by none other than Azazel.

The secrets he harbors will change the course of not only the witches’ lives, but the world as they know it.

Wow!!!

This, the 3rd installment of The Witches of Salix Pointe was well worth the wait!
From beginning to end, I was enthralled with the goings on with the witches, angels and demons. There were a lot of new characters introduced and I feel like I would have done well to take notes in order to keep up but wow what an incredible journey. This story is so entertaining and if you're a spiritual person at all, kind of scary. The accuracy is on point. The story development is incredible. The characters literally come off the pages and I feel like I spent time watching each scene play out in front of me.
If you are a fan of spectacular writing, this series is for you. You get a little love and romance, mystery, betrayal, comedy, shock value and more.
I am thoroughly impressed with this author duo and definitely recommend far and wide.

The battle of good and evil and all the blurred lines between

Well what an imagination these two writers have! My Christian faith and biblical beliefs would definitely be put into question if I was of a weaker mind and in my walk - but I’m not so I can enjoy this book of fiction while appreciating the way they weave in the current state of affairs in the world and this country specifically, climate change, and pages from the Bible into this series and especially this book.
So, it’s been a little while since book two so I was at a loss in the beginning trying to remember what happened and more specifically Zafer and Safiya. I remembered the epic battle but the specifics were a little fuzzy. For this reason the beginning of the book was a little slow for me. But when it picked up the pace it really started to build.
These guardians of Salix Pointe have literally been through hell or at least fighting hell and back. They’ve had centuries of trauma that they’ve had to try to reconcile with but very little time to do it between skirmishes and this time was no exception. They’ve increased in knowledge and power. Octavian has been exhibiting incubus behaviors that have never been present before and has to figure out how to deal with them. Demon Daddy is also exhibiting behaviors that are baffling to those that know him as he is acting like he truly care’s instead of always being self serving or is he really. The children Attalah, Safiya, and Zafer have been surviving in certain levels of hell and the shadows because this battle between good and evil is for the ownership of them plus Zafer is a ticking time bomb with immense power. Tasmin and Elisa have come into their full powers and are reeling from the state their children’s lives are in and their souls. Dayfari has things going on as well. They just can’t catch a break.
Heaven and hell wants the kids and will do anything to get them including working together to dispatch the guardians that are standing in their way. This is where the blurred lines comes in with Angels becoming fallen, supernatural beings leaving their designated posts, Angels willingly disobeying, questioning of edicts and the truth as they’ve been lead to believe - makes for an intense backdrop of confusion, angst, anger, frustration, distrust and survival.
Can’t wait to read the next installment whenever that comes out because there’s a new king on hells thrown and I have to know how that came to be and definitely know the why!
This was an epic read that didn’t disappoint!

ARC REVIEW! *NO SPOILERS* Book 3 is upon us soon! If you have read books 1 and 2 then you have travelled to Salix Pointe. Book 3 gives you more messy family celestial drama! 😂 Its so amazing how this writing duo gives you all the mess and all the good drama even writing about the fight between earth and being in hell. Demon Daddy is definitely back and funny as hell to me. The first chapter made me laugh out loud at some of his words. I love how with every test the families faced Tasmin and Elisa remained so strong and didnt let the whereabouts of their kids break them. I highly recommend this 3rd installment. You wont be disappointed. I will share my clutching pearls moment between Lilith and Lucifer Morningstar! That argument sent me ok!! When Lilith called him Adam the whole room hushed! 😩🤣🤣😂 Poor Lilith. I hope you all enjoy as I did!

10’s across the board

This is exactly what I mean when I say I want a book about Black witches. I haven’t stopped talking about this series since I finished it. It’s Angel vs. Man vs. Demon. Heaven vs. Hell. Fallen angels working alongside witches. Angels wiping out bloodlines because the Big Man said it had to be done. Two couples whose love transcends every lifetime. Heaven and Hell battling for three of the most powerful souls.

This series is absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait for book four to drop.

Oh My Goodness!

Where do I start with this review. Finally all cast and characters along with their purpose was revealed. The history lesson of why things happened and the consequences of ones actions. The love, betrayal, and pain all mixed together. The endless trials and tribulations made my head swim. I found myself wanting to erate a chart to keep it all straight. I don't see how the authors could write a story such as this w/o a chart of some sort. I thoroughly enjoyed reading book 3, and look forward to the audiobook to hear the voices of each character. In my mind I felt as if I were a fly on the wall watching all events unfold while keeping a safe distance for all the intense interactions. None stop drama and I do mean none stop. For anyone reading this review, be sure to read the entire series for this all to make sense. Excellent writing, and action packed reading. It's going to be grueling having to see what Azazel's plan. It's interesting to hear that hell does freeze freeze, 🥶

The 3rd installment of The Witches of Salix Pointe was well worth the wait and definitely did not disappoint. You get a little love and romance, mystery, betrayal, comedy, shock value and more. In this book we don’t just get the story from Elisa, Tasmin, Octavian, and Dafari point of view it also goes into some of the other characters. I feel like we got to know Azazel a lot more in this book now I’m hoping that he’s not really a bad guy because I really have started rooting for him in the end and hopefully I won’t get disappointed in the next book. I love how all of their children are in this book but will that end up being a blessing or a curse only time will tell. I really don’t want to go into details because I’m afraid of giving something away but I really do recommend that you go read this book because it’s just that good.

I think if the author chooses to she could keep going with this series will not get boring. Compared to books 1 &2 I think they crammed a lot into this book, but it was not overwhelming. I'm happy where the book ended and now to wait for 4th book hopefully.

The Best one yet!

I have read all three of the novels and I like that
each book has build s great narrative and how they used the “Creation” story as the background for the novels. I didn’t know what to expect when I started the first one because it seemed to be about the four main characters relationship and young women coming into their power but as the novels as progress it has proven to be much more. The way the novels has expanded to include the war against what you would think is a war of good and evil but then it makes you questioning who is good and who is evil which is what makes these novels so compelling and easy to read. I can’t wait to see what Book four reveals and I hope it’s not long.

Great read!

I love how this book explains black spirituality. It is so familiar with many things I've learned myself beingfrom the South. I would recommend this book to other light mined people. And those I think could benefit from a different perspective.

My mid is blooownnnnn!

They Witches of Salix Pointe

This is a combined 3 book series review so prepare to be whisked away on a Fanta-Real adventure that blurs the lines of fantasy with reality crafted by two amazing storytelling enchantresses whose words paint a vivid and captivating picture that drew me deep into the story where demons, witches, angels, warlocks, magic, portals, veils and spells occur with earthly beings as they rally to fight evil to save souls and lives of both the good and the bad.

This series took me back in time, transitioning and intertwining Biblical content, Greek mythology and Black history making it feel as if you're right there, reliving memories and being in the moment alongside the characters. There were intense earthly, heavenly and demonic connections that lead to fight scenes, sexy dangerous characters that had me questioning my dark side. It reveals deep rooted family secrets, lies, betrayal, hunger for power and at the center of it all, beautiful soul ties from romances and love that literally transcend time.

This story will keep the pages turning because who finds a demon sexy…me 💃🏽🙋🏽‍♀️! Demon Daddy and his sons had me melting trying to merged into this book because everything felt so real like I was there experiencing it along with the characters and did not want it to end.

The authors blend of truth and fiction breathes life into the story, while the narrators are simply chefs kiss perfection - embodying every character like celestial artisans, infusing the story with a symphony of emotions and authenticity. The range in dialect flowed like a perfect wave that never broke. It’s is an extraordinary performance.

This series is a stroke of creative genius that one day needs to grace the silver screen. If you haven't dived into The Witches of Salix Pointe series yet, it's time to add it to the top of your reading list!

Book 3

I’m writing this review after finishing the series. It was recommended to by Kindle me based on my reading habits. I am always looking for paranormal stories with Black characters.

The only reason I read this book was because I was 2/3 through the series and committed to finish it. And maybe a small part of me held out hope that the author could salvage the plot with more details. That was not the case.

First, the “title character” of this book, was barely in the book. She played a part, but didn’t bring any more clarity to the events. Ms. Vella’s horrible attempt to blend various religious practices and mythologies got worse. In the end, I was dragging myself to finish.

Finally, the ending (“Outro” - who ends a book with two epilogues then an “outro”?! And I forgot to mention this is my review of book 2, but two epilogues and a interlude at the end? Really? We’re just making up writing rules now?) leaves so many threads and unresolved issues. Maybe the author is planning another series. I will definitely NOT be reading it. I do not recommend this series or author.

I really enjoyed this book! Like the previous ones, the attention to detail and the way the plot is constructed are fantastic. That said, I still have the same issue as with the earlier books: there’s just so much going on, and not enough time to develop every story properly. By the end, I was losing track of who’s who and which details belonged to which storyline. I loved the idea of the chaotic family trying to mend itself and work through their issues, but the sheer amount of activity made it hard to follow at times. On the bright side, I’m still obsessed with the devotion between Dafari and Octavian, and I’m super intrigued to see what Azazel has planned. Plus, I can’t wait to find out what’s next for the main four’s kids! Also, there were noticeably fewer editing mistakes in this one, which made for a smoother reading experience.

Overall, I’m really enjoying this series and can’t wait for more!!!

This story was EVERYTHING! This was the 3rd installment in the series and if you love good versus evil, this novel is definitely for you. The plot and characters were well developed. I was enthralled from the beginning to end with the telling of family tragedies, centuries long soul ties, family feuds, celestial and demonic wars…need I go on? The writing was very descriptive, allowing readers to visualize every moment. The fight scenes held me captive. The love scenes were passionate, yet not too graphic. The one-liners made me laugh out loud on numerous occasions. Based on the ending, there seems to be another installment on the horizon.. I can’t wait for it.

Side note: The ending seemed a bit rushed. There were quite a few errors in the 2nd Epilogue and Outro. Otherwise, this story was outstanding.

I love how this book continues with the lore and extended on it but I feel like Tasmin and Elisa were push to the back burner for all these new characters.

Dafari and Octavian were sort of main characters this book but even then I feel like there was more that could have been fleshed out.

Also some missing points from the previous books. Tasmin having a chastity belt placed on her by her parents was that ever address?

I feel like the story was trying to do too much and ended up falling on its ass cause it wasn't able to have all the issues solved.

This book ended too soon, definitely a page turner. It was fast paced, erotic, witty, funny, and cleverly written. The inclusion of current trends and world events made you really reconsider everything you were taught. We got so much more of Daddy Demon, he could be a book all on his own. I love it and wish there was more.

i'm glad we're still going strong in the Witches of Salix Pointe series, it had everything that I enjoyed from the first two books. The characters were strongly written and I was hooked from the first page. Noelle Vella's writing is perfectly for the series and I'm glad I got to read this.
