As simplistic and short as it is, it had me thinking about it constantly. Great read, cute little shifter romance. Luna love.

I quite enjoyed this shifter book! I really appreciated the value and care of females in the Farrowline pack. Ridley and Tobias had great chemistry, and I loved the little family they built with Noah and the pack.

I recently borrowed The Heart of Farrowline from a girlfriend of mine after hearing how great this story was. It did not disappoint!

For full transparency, the author is the cousin of one of my closest friends, so I was always going to give this book a crack! I just didn’t expect it to be so soon. I’m so glad I did.

Think, Twilight without the vampires, with a touch of 50 Shades - but with better writing!

Ridley is starting fresh. She’s got a beautiful baby boy, Noah, and everything that has happened in the past stays there. That’s the plan anyway.

Until she begins working for the Alpha of Farrow - Tobias and his Pack of wolf shifters. The chemistry is undeniably there, but how can a human compete with the most stunning of females who transition to wolves?

It doesn’t take long for the relationship between Ridley and Tobias to hit the spicy level, while still understanding what Ridley is running from.

With the Pack’s family and the Alpha’s circle right by her side, Ridley is able to begin forging a new.

This was such an easy read - and one particularly for those who aren’t too sure about fantasy books. There’s a definite soft approach to the writing which I loved.

At times, there were moments throughout the book where I felt a little lost with what was happening, jumping from one storyline to the other… but it didn’t take long to understand just what was happening.

I loved the characters who form the Pack - and equally hated others (once you read this, you’ll know what I mean).

Most of all, I enjoyed the main character’s ability to fight, protect and be part of this family. Though her self doubt was annoying at times, it’s something that I’m sure many of us would also revel in if we were amongst the Alpha.

Now, if someone can find me my own Tobias, that’d be fab 😜

Review of The Heart of Farrowline by A. L. Rojo
* * * * *
A spectacular shifter romance between the alpha of a powerful wolf pack and a young human woman juggling work and being a single mother who is much stronger than she appears.

Ridley has had it rough of late.
Struggling on her own to get by and look after her dear baby Noah, she feels like she is failing. Now, she has been given the oppurtunity to work as an assistant in a top end company. Only obstacle, it is full of shifters and they just happen to be the rival company of her father's - a man who finds her a disappointment.
Boy, is she in for a shock when she thought she would go barely unnoticed in this job. Not only is she a fascination to the shifters, she appears to have that affect on Alpha Tobias. Soon enough, she is being dragged to parties, family gatherings and more. Tobias will not leave her side, and he is amazing with Noah.
Ridley feels the warmth and protection from the pack, and Tobias's protection is overwhelming...as well as the undeniable attraction. She is scared that she will lose it all and does not want to take the chance, especially when Tobias is to still find is mate. Not to mention, the past is coming back at her like a living nightmare.
She will do anything for Noah...she just needs to realise that she does not need to do it all on her own.

A fantastic read that I was so happy I was recommeneded! I had to stay up last night and finish it because there was no way I was holding it off!
Ridley's strength and choices to protect her son before herself is proof of a mother's love, but is also a pain to see that she will not be a little selfish when it comes to her love life. Can't blame her after the a-hole that was the baby daddy.
The pack is amazing. Major family issues on Ridley's side but it is nice to see she does have people cheering for her.
Tobias is one patient man. From all the shifter men I have come across, yes he can have that little short fuse some times when it comes to his woman getting hurt, but when it comes to showing her that he loves her, the man believes he has all the time in the world for his Luna. Plus, the steamy scenes are very nice (wink wink).
Would love to grab the next read!

I don't even know where to start, but Alex has this innate way of writing that draws the reader in until you are living and breathing in the characters world. You are standing right beside our MFC, Ridley as she navigates a lonely and isolated life as a single mum, doing her best to give her little boy the life he deserves (and as a mum myself - this just hits different). The reasons for her self-imposed lifestyle revealed as the story unravels, and it pulls no punches.
Then enter Tristan, her new boss, pack leader...Alpha, their connection instant and viceral and he's everything Ridley craves in a partner but can't have - after all, his fated mate is surely just around the corner.

Cue an absolutely riveting read as Ridley rediscovers herself, learns about love and heartbreak and ultimately, how important pack is.

The slow burn is delicious, Tristan's patience endless (I did yell at Ridley a few times and had to put the book down and look at the roof for a moment {with a huge grin}) and the writing exceptional - right until the last word. (You know that heart swell some books invoke - this was one of them for me).

If you haven't heard of this book, you need to go look it up immediately, especially if you devour:

- touch her and die
- slow burn
- fated mates
- found family
- single mum doing her best
- angst
- wolf and other shifter dynamics
- strong FMC
- growly MMC
- tension of the delicious kind
- supernatural romance

Then you will adore this book a much as I did.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♾️

What a way to end 2025 with an absolute BANGER of a read. I could not put this book down and devoured it in a day.

Ridley Wade-Kohan; a human, single mother on the run from her past. She lands an assistant position at Farrow Group… which just so happens to be run by wolf shifters and is the direct competitor of her father’s company. Oh, and her boss? Tobias Farrow is the Alpha of Farrowline Pack...

Ridley is fiercely independent, strong, and very much a “I don’t need no man” kind of woman. I loved her strength, her growth, and especially her naivety around wolves, it was quite entertaining. Loved watching her slowly come out of her shell, learn to trust, and open herself up again.

Tobia Farrow 😮‍💨 This is how you write an MMC. Dominant, masculine, intelligent, patient... all of it. He radiates violent energy and his possessive nature? Chef’s kiss. The way he leads and protects his pack is nurturing, powerful, and honestly panty dropping. Alpha done right.

This book is different, unique, and refreshing. The found family is top tier, the workplace romance is hot as hell, and every single side character is lovable and memorable. This story sucked me right in, and I’m not ready to leave it.

I need more so I'll be diving into Dominic Knox’s story straight away ✨

If you love:
🐺 Wolf shifters
🔥 Alpha MMCs
💼 Workplace romance
🤍 Found family
✨ Strong FMCs

… do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

Read it if you like:
✔️ Romance with slow burn
✔️ Found family

BLURB: When Ridley Wade-Kohan (FMC) lands herself a position as an assistant with the successful Farrow Group; a company owned by the most powerful pack of wolf shifters in the country, and its leader, the Alpha of Farrowline, Tobias Farrow (MMC), Ridley's life changes forever. There is nowhere to escape when the Alpha of Farrowline has you in his sights. But as hard as Ridley tries to run from her past, the more it torments her. With her heart telling her one thing and her mind another, will Ridley be able to find the happiness she craves in the strange new world among a Pack of wolves and their Alpha?

🖤 This romance is so good because it's not only romance... it's drama, character development, single mom struggle to raise her kid, big boss learning to be vulnerable, family secrets being discovered, dark past being revealed to every one, found family and in the middle of it all: true love thriving. It's so well written by A L Rojo and it makes us feel good, it has all the perfect elements plus the spicy is GOOD. I also love the FMC development, she has so many issues and insecurities so it's nice to see her growing and getting empowered. It gives me such a Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray vibes in the best way possible! The wolf pack just won my heart and it makes me want to join their pack hahah I can't wait for book 2!

Ps: The author confirmed that she is currently working on book two, yay!

Thank you soo much A L for sending me a copy of your beautify book!

I absolutely loved this book. The Heart of Farrowline pulled me in from the very first page and didn’t let go. Ridley’s story hit me right in the chest. A single mum trying to start over, protect her baby, and somehow find her place again... Then comes Tobias Farrow and his pack, and everything changes.

What really stood out for me (besides the amazing chemistry between Ridley and Tobias) was the pack’s physical affection. The way they touch, hug, or just brush past each other feels so comforting and grounding. It made the pack dynamic feel real and safe, like a family that heals you just by being close. I didn’t expect that level of tenderness, and it completely melted me.

A. L. Rojo did such an amazing job balancing the emotional depth with the heat. The slow burn, the tension, the protective alpha energy, it’s all there, but with so much heart. The world feels alive, the characters have layers, and the sense of belonging is just beautiful.

If you love found family, strong heroines, protective alphas, and stories that make you feel everything, read this book!!
I can’t wait for more from this world. 💖

I was super excited to receive a copy of The Heart of Farrowline and oh my god it did not disappoint!!!!!!
I’m all about a cheeky lil shifter romance and Tobias and Ridley were perfect!!!🥹✨

I felt like I had been transported back to being a 14 year old reading my first wolf shifter romance, so many feelings and emotions went through my body the past few days over this book.

The characters, the plot, the PURE giddiness I felt during some of the scenes in this were insane and so so amazing. Just ask anyone who had the pleasure of watching me read this in the break room at work and you’ll know how good it is lmao.

10/10 will read again.

i very much loved the whole ‘the woman has to make the first move’ and just the entire build up to Ridley figuring it all out and accepting it and ah my heart hurts. Also the affection and love that the pack shared and just how lovely everyone was, it was wholesome as heck!

I can’t wait for book 2 🥲

It has been a while since I read a book that has captivated me from start to finish, I have not had a book that I wanted to cry and scream at for a while. The relationship between Ridley and Tobias is electric and I was left wanting more at the end of every chapter. I found it hard to put it down, I devoured it. The author's description of characters and places made it easy to visualise the spaces that the characters were sitting in. She kept me enthralled to the very end of the book. Ridley is a relatable character with her flaws and her esteem which makes it more for an enjoyable read rather than a picture perfect character. I won't give away any spoilers but if you want a book that keeps you guessing until the very end, then I highly recommend that you buy this book.
I cannot wait for book 2 in the series

I absolutely loved this book!

I love a good shifter story, but this was next level. I laughed, cried, yelled, and did the little foot kicking thing, haha, and just all the feels!

A strong FMC who does not just accept it all because of the big steing Alpha. No, she has a lot of shit going on and deals with it in the book. It felt real, and I connected with her refusing love and her worth so much because it did take time.

Our Alpha was possessive and aggressive, but above all, he was protective even if that meant having to wait and respect her wishes.

We also see so much of the pack and her family and friends, like their development as well. it makes me want more about the side characters and their story's.

Seriously, it's a fantastic book!!!
The spicy was good as well, only complaint I need more about them, like now.

DNF!!

This was awful and I Could only stomach a couple of chapters.

Ridley is a complete bimbo, helicopter mother and did I mention an absolute MORON! She also makes it a point of being a good mother and being there for her child but the first chance she gets, she goes out to a club with people she now works with and gets so drunk that the Alpha had to take her home.

Also the Alpha is not romantic or nice, he is a complete and utter arrogant jerk and so are most of the Pack.

The way the author wrote this book was atrocious and something like a high schooler would write. I just could not stand the complete and utter dog shit of a book any longer and stopped reading.

I would definitely NOT recommend this book or this author. The author needs some lessons in how to write before doing any more books.

I hate giving bad feedback but this book was just so very poor.

The Heart of Farrowline was a pleasant breath of fresh air to wrap up my 2023 of reading. This was such an entertaining light hearted story that also touched on relatable scenario’s.

The story follows Ridley a single mum trying to navigate her life around a new job and discovering pack life amongst shifters. Ridley begins to learn what it’s like to be a part of a strong and caring family and having a relationship with an unapologetically stubborn/dominating alpha.

Although I loved many of the characters that made up this story, Dominic will always have my heart and I hope to see more of him in Book 2.

Please be aware this story touches on domestic abuse and does have scenes that may trigger some readers

I liked the idea and wolves are always going to draw me in, but this book needs an edit. Including learning the difference between subconscious and unconscious. There were also so many things which could have been removed and others I wanted more from. The build up to the 'mate' component was so deep but the climax fell flat.
If this book had a solid group of editors and or advanced readers it would have been better. A generous 3 stars.
I will likely still read the next one as I'm trying to read more Australian authors this month and I really like the pack themselves. It's the execution I struggled with.

I was honoured to read this shifter romance. I received a free copy from the author and leaving a review freely.

A L Rojo has created a very unique shifter world in this delightful shifter romance, The Heart Of Farrowline. The characters are relatable, charming and highly amusing, the romance is engrossing and very endearing. The tempo of the story kept me highly engaged and I will be definitely looking out for upcoming books in the series. Great read!

Check TWs before reading.

This is a book that genuinely has it all; there's drama and conflict, hurt and comfort. There's character development and learning to open up. Found family and amazing side characters. A past that the FMC is hiding, and a future that the MMC is protecting. Top it all off with the romance and the spice, and you have a great read.

Ridley, oh man, my heart broke over and over for her. I loved that we watch her grow from a struggling single mum to the centre of Tobias' world. I loved that although it's fated mates, it wasn't an insta-love story. Tobias really had to work to win Ridley over, and I won't lie, I giggled with the constant "you're not my Alpha" comments. Oh, Ridley.

The pack and their dynamic made this story for me. I think without their instant acceptance, affection and protection, Ridley wouldn't have settled into the Farrowline world as well as she did.

Also, a shifter story written by an Australian author? Of course I was all over that! A wonderful read and I look forward to reading more in the Farrowline series.

I loved the FMC, Ridley. A single mother trying to juggle life and a dark past. We love a strong FMC and a strong mother 🥰

I also loved the MMC, Tobias. He is THE Alpha, loved how protective of loving and the small doses of vulnerability he showed as well.

I absolutely loved this book. The plot, pacing and characters were perfect. Ridley was such a fantastic FMC, strong yet incredibly vulnerable, and it was so refreshing to see a mum POV, which I relate to so much. (Trying to eat whilst holding a baby, the struggle is real.)
The relationship between her and Tobias was so beautifully written, and I lost count the amount of times this book had me smiling and kicking my feet.
I cannot wait to start book 2.

What a book! Bradley can eat a dick!
when he came into her apartment towards the end I was so emotional! I wanted to dive into the book and punch him in the face. 😂
LOVED the physical touch elements .. swooning! So so so good!

I really loved this take on the paranormal fated mate scenario.

It felt more adult and genuine than other books in this genre. The attraction was obvious from the start, and yet Tobias allowed Ridley the space and time to understand and accept the mate bond as a human without the prior awareness of just how things work.

The connections created between characters felt so real and the book had me in a chokehold from the beginning. I will be recommending this series to everyone!
