I finally finished another Give Yourself Goosebumps book. This one is called Night Of A Thousand Claws. This book was offered to Buddy read with Shaun Stevenson. He has his own YouTube channel and I was pretty honored to read with him. But let me tell you this Shaun Stevenson bulldozed through this book and finished it in like two days. I have no idea how he done it. But I must get some tips ,because this book took me what feels like centuries to read .luckily I had another buddy to help finish buddy reading it so this is a co-buddy read, Which I've never done before, but thank God for good people. The story itself starts off with you getting in a taxi with your mom and little brothers and you guys are going to stay at Cay Cove , this place off of a ferry next to a lighthouse ,that sounds like it would be absolutely beautiful. As you're in the taxi you notice you see a lot of cats on the side and it's dark and nobody's really outside ,so you complain about it being boring .The cab driver keeps making weird eye contact with you and when you guys get to your house that you're staying in, before you can get out the cab driver tells you to never go out after dark and to watch out for Katrina Madd. You of course have no idea who Katrina Madd is, but it doesn't take long to find out as you approach your house you're met with a big cat that you chase off and then this old lady pops up she says her name is Katrina Madd. She's basically the owner of the house I guess it's like a air b&b kind of thing. She's very strange and you get some odd vibes off of her especially when she says she'll be seeing you later. Later that night your brother wakes you up and he announces that your brother left in the middle of the night so you have to go find him.You get up and go outside you don't want to tell your parents because you don't want to get the kid in trouble. As you go outside you hear another scream and this is your first choice. You can either go to the cottage where Katrina Madd is that or you can go to the lighthouse where Jacob Madd is at ,who is Katrina's brother who is also mentioned to be just as crazy as she is. I picked to go to the lighthouse but only kind of sort of because you get a choice when you go to the lighthouse and meet Jacob mad to immediately leave the lighthouse and I figured that would lead to a bad ending ,but it doesn't. It leads to a completely different storyline .This ks actually, in my opinion the best storyline .This storyline, you run into this parade of cats that is taken directly from one of those Tales For The Midnight Hour books. Or at least I think that's the one. But as you're looking you see Katrina mad in the center and she announces that she's looking for The keeper Of The Cats to replace her and that's where the storyline leads. You can also go on a tangent small story line where you run into these bad luck cats that can cause you to sink your boat and other stuff. The other storyline is the lighthouse storyline. In this one you meet Jacob Madd and he's trying to keep all the cats from getting in his his house by putting up pieces of wood and also you have to try to avoid all of his booby traps for these cats. We learn something about Jacob Madd that has to do with mutated cats, his sister and robot cats. This one that I can't really decide if it contradicts with the other storyline or not but I didn't really like the explanation in this one. This one does have a very good imagery type ending though where you can get electrocuted by this force field thing. I didn't really like this story line that much. The last story line is really short. It is where you go to the cottage to run into Katrina Madd and she basically makes you do stuff the rest of the summer which was a little disappointing, because I'd much rather have this storyline longer than the lighthouse storyline. Night Of A thousand Claws wasn't an amazing read by any means.I often felt myself confused on certain past that I took.I was trying to get some bad endings when I was trying to wrap this book up but when you took a certain path it took you just to another storyline completely. as far as the best and worst endings go.My favorite ending would probably be the ending involving a ghost town which also should have got explored a lot more. The worst ending is the one where you turn invisible, because apparently when you turn invisible people can't hear you ,which didn't make any sense. I give Night Of A Thousand Claws a two out of five stars .I didn't really love this.It was confusing. I felt like I didn't really read anything and the endings we're not very satisfying.I did like the number nine thing though and the setting was amazing.

This was okay. Nothing bad really but not much great either. Was overall either good or meh, with like 2 really solid moments. Not really any bad endings either, all were just fine. No Goosebumps references, though 😭 big whoop. Anyways, 6/10.

This was SO random and honestly I hate that I liked it. The cover is horrible compared to the earlier copies of Give Yourself Goosebumps but the story was good and the paths were wild. I had a few laughs with this one.
