If you plan on doing any plant ID, this book is good to read before you start. Most field guides that are for plant ID have names for the plant parts that are strange to the lay person. This book details all of the aspects of plants that might be referred to in the tree and plant "keys" and guides for plant ID, with photo illustration. A must for those new to botany unless you have a teacher willing to explain it all.
Plants by: David Burnie was a good book. This book talks about many plants and what they do. It also talks about there uses and how they grow. It was helpful in find out more about plants so I recommend this book.
