I LOVE THIS BOOK🥺🥺🥺 I love reading a book with a beautiful cute daughter on it and a good smart man who one day finds a woman and love her so much🥺🥺🥺 I’m a sucker for love stories like this!

I WILL DEFINITELY BE READING THE WHOLE SERIES OF THIS BOOK FOR SURE😍😍😍 I LOVE THE MAXWELL BROTHERS AND CANNOT WAIT TO READ FROM THEM. A BIG HUGE BEAUTIFUL FAMILY WITH HANDSOMES ALPHA MALES HEROES😙😙😙

I was hoping the heroines in the future will be a scientist or even better cause that would be so cool!
🥺🙏🏼🙏🏼

YES THE HEROINE IS THE NANNY SO ITS VERY SWEET WHEN THE HERO NEVER MAKES THAT A PROBLEM BECAUSE SHE IS THE ONE FOR HIM🥺
“WHY DID YOU TELL HER YOU WERE THE NANNY? YOU KNOW YOU’RE MORE THAN THAT. I’M MORE THAN HAPPY TO TELL EVERYONE WE’RE TOGETHER. EVERYONE, LEXI.”

🥺🥺🥺

‼️‼️‼️SAFE BEAUTIFUL ROMANTIC HOT LOVE STORY… Even though the hero have been through a lot but he opens his heart to the heroine and really pursue her… Damn it just gets better🥺🥺💕

‼️‼️‼️NO VIRGINS.

THEY DIDN’T SAY THEY ARE CLEAN OR ITS BEEN HOW LONG WHAT BUT THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SMUT SCENES BOTH ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTION.

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION FOR THREE DAYS i think? Not more and not long… BOTH ARE LOYAL and never go to anyone else ever.

‼️‼️‼️THEIR CHEMISTRY IS SO ROMANTIC AND SWEET🥺🥺🥺 We get to see how this couple spend time with each other and having fun… WE GET TO SEE THEIR FAMILY are having fun and gathering together and how they handle the family things. So fun to read it especially the heroes have 5 brothers!

‼️‼️‼️ The hero did talk about his past partner before (just one time) and about his baby mama but only couple of times because there was a situation. Never more. The heroine talk about it but only one time and never more.

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS THIRTY FOUR YEARS OLD AND THE HEROINE IS THIRTY ONE. THE HEROINE IS A BILLIONAIRE AND THE HEROINE IS A AMAZING SCHOOL TEACHER 💜💜💜

THE HERO is 6’3
And the heroine is 5’8

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE SMART ALPHA MALE. NOT OTT. BUT POSSESSIVE ENOUGH TO REALLY MAKE SURE THE HEROINE IS HIS WHEN HE FIRST KISSED HER…

The hero because of what he been through, he’s been hard on himself and always close people off without realizing it. Once he meet and wants the heroine, the hero changed to be better for sure.

“I COULDN’T DENY THAT LEXI MADE ME FEEL, AND THAT ITSELF WAS A DAMN MIRACLE.”

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE is such a sweet soul🥺 She adores and loves his daughter so much. The heroine always knows how to behave, she have a great relationship with the hero’s family already even after first meeting them and after, the heroine cares for hero’s well being and everything about him, the heroine is friendly and a cool chick. Great woman!

‼️‼️‼️NOT MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM BOTH BUT ITS THERE ALRIGHT😁😁😁

“WAS SHE OUT ON THE TOWN WITH FRIENDS? MALE FRIENDS? THE THOUGHT DID NOT SIT WELL WITH ME.”

“MALE FRIENDS? ANY OF THEM INTERESTED IN YOU?”
“MR. MAXWELL, WHATS THIS? ARE YOU TRYING TO STAKE YOUR CLAIM ON ME? AFTER ONE KISS?”
“YES, I AM.”
“TATE…”
“I HAVE HALF A MIND TO COME WHERE YOU ARE AND MAKE IT CLEAR TO EVERYONE THAT YOU’RE OFF LIMITS.”

“I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOU SEEING OTHER MEN NOW OR IN THE PAST, EVER. IT DRIVES ME CRAZY.”

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO ALWAYS SAYS TO THE HEROINE: YOU ARE MINE. MINE. MINE.

“ME. ONLY ME. YOU’RE MINE. YOU’RE IN MY THOUGHTS ALL THE TIME. AND I WANT TO BE IN YOURS.”

🥺🥺🥺🥺

‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES….

“I’ll give you so much pleasure that you’ll lose track of everything where we are, who you are.”

I LOVED IT WHEN THE HEROINE HAVE DOUBTS IN HER HEAD BECAUSE SHE THINKS THE HERO ONLY WANTS HER FOR ONE NIGHT STAND, THE HERO IMMEDIATELY CLEARS HER OUT WITH:

“LEVI, WHATEVER THIS IS, I DON’T WANT TO END IT.”

‼️‼️‼️LOVE IN FIRST SIGHT. A STRONG PULL…

“I’D LOOKED A LOT AT LEXI, AND I’D FANTASIZED A WHOLE LOT MORE.”

“SHE STIRRED SOMETHING INSIDE ME AND NO WOMAN HAD EVER MANAGED TO STIR ANYTHING IN ME SINCE THE DIVORCE.”

“SHE WAS SPECIAL, AND I HAD TO CONVINCE HER OF THAT. THAT WE NEEDED HER.”

“I KNEW SHE FELT THE PULL TOO, THE ATTRACTION AND THE CONNECTION WE HAD.”

“SOMETHING TWISTED IN MY CHEST. HOW WAS IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE I’D JUST MET UNDERSTOOD ME SO COMPLETELY?”

“SHE WAS THE ONLY WOMAN IN THE WORLD FOR ME. I’D NEVER WANT TO EVEN LOOK AT ANYONE ELSE.”

The hero really make sure the heroine is what he wants and he is obsessed with her… He is obsessed with her like no other before… 💕

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS DRAMA WITH OW BUT NOT TOO ANNOYING AND NOT TOO MUCH. JUST ONE TIME AND THAT WAS ONLY ABOUT THE BABY MAMA TALKING ABOUT THEIR KID. NO DRAMA WITH OM. OTHER DRAMA IS ABOUT THEIR FAMILY…

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Sickness, sadness, divorce, lawsuit and violence.

‼️‼️‼️IT HAS PUSHING AWAY COUPLE OF TIMES BECAUSE THE HEROINE IS THE NANY BUT NEVER TOO MUCH AND NOT TOO ANNOYING…

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING… ENGAGED🥺🥺🥺 The hero’s daughter even asked the heroine to be her mommy and she can’t wait to spend more time with the heroine because she loves her so much❤️❤️❤️

This book is such a fun and romantic and heart whelming love story💛💛💛💛 For me, i read this book on a rainy day on my free day… and i want to read story that have big beautiful family in it with some little family drama thats fun to read and a couple who loves each other so much who find their true happiness that they deserve… I’m glad i find this book and completely obsessed with the characters…

👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽

I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙

🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️

BLEH. I hated the insta-love, I hated the lack of chemistry, I hated the overuse of the word “alpha” when the H wasn’t even being alpha. I hated how infatuated Tate was (because, why??? How??? When??? She would literally do nothing and he would be like: “oh, you’re so adorable Lexi”), I hated how immature their juvenile behavior (despite being supposed to be 30 yrs old), I hated the cringy flirting and it all made me highly uncomfortable. Would not recommend, unless you like Wattpad, because it totally gave me 2014 Wattpad vibes.

DNFed @ around 85 %.

I think my biggest problem with this story was the goody-two-shoes heroine.
She was so fucking perfect and so good, helpful and understanding, I wanted to barf. She had zero flaws and zero problems. I didn't like her and she annoyed the fuck outta me.

Another problem was the lack of angst or conflict in this story. I wanted something, anything that would give me a bit of edge.
Here?
The characters meet, we have instalust and they get together pretty quickly. Then, the kid finds out, she is happy, same like his parents, because, you know, everyone loves our mousy but oh-so perfect heroine.

And I was so bored out of my mind, I just gave up because I knew how the story would end.
Hence the disappointment.
And the rating.

Nope. No way. I’m out. This book reads like poorly done fanfiction written by a thirteen year old. Actually, I’ve read better from thirteen year olds.
There was literally no character development before Lexi and Tate were falling into bed together IN HIS HOUSE WITH HIS DAUGHTER SLEEPING DOWNSTAIRS. Nope.
And if I had to read Lexi calling Tate “alpha” one more time I was going to vomit. Here’s a hint: you shouldn’t have to tell the reader that the MMC is an alpha.
I wanted to love the banter between the brothers, I was hoping this would be enough of a distraction to pull me out of the looming disappointment of the love story. Except it wasn’t. The dialogue between the boys was amateurish and for people who grew up together, it felt wooden and unaffected. Where is that tried and true familial banter? Where are the inside jokes? The brotherly rivalry?
And someone please explain to me why the grandmother is so invested in Lexi? You can’t, can you?
And Lexi has the personality of a dishrag. I know I was supposed to feel something for her because she took this “nanny” job to help her family but I couldn’t care less. She’s such a MarySue that I kept rolling my eyes every time I had the misfortune of tripping into her chapters. At least Tate was a smidgen more interesting, though not nearly enough to carry the whole story.
I will admit, I DNF’d this at about the 60% mark because, even if these characters found the cure to cancer, it wouldn’t have made the story better.
Here’s where the author went wrong, these characters never struggled to achieve anything. Strife is not enough. Angst doesn’t quite do the job. There has to be something worth fighting for and true conflict, even if it’s simply perceived. You have to give the reader the chance to be invested in the outcome. You have to give the reader a reason to cheer… or cry… or yell. I’m okay with being eviscerated if you’ve made me part of the world. I never once felt connected to these people. I was annoyed and perplexed. So, no, I won’t be picking up books by this author again because based on what I’ve read, this is simply how she writes. I’m out.

Layla Hagen and SINGLE DAD romance with the nanny?! YES PLEASE! Layla always writes such sweet and heartwarming romances, sweet, uncomplicated, and so swoony- and her heroes are also so delicious- so I knew I’d love Promise Me Forever. And I was not disappointed.

Our hero Tate is certainly yummy- hardworking CFO, doting single father to his 9 year old daughter Paisley, hard worker, a principled and good man. He’s committed to making sure Paisley comes first in his life-especially now that her mother has run off to pursue her modelling career. He’s not interested in a relationship, but he is looking for a nanny. And Lexi, a fourth grade teacher looking to supplement her income during her summer break (sad but true reality for our teachers), is the perfect fit for the role.

I just love the single dad/nanny trope- and I love it when it gets the lower angst, super dreamy treatment, that special swoony touch Layla is so skilled at writing. Of course, we do have some push-pull and a little bit of drama (more than I’m used to from Layla) given the more forbidden flair and the tender care both have for sweet Paisley- but their sparks are undeniable. I loved their chemistry- sweet and sexy, heartfelt and magnetic.

And I also loved our introduction to Tate’s big sprawling family- so much fun banter and family antics to enjoy. Laylah has written so many amazing family ensemble focused series, and I’m really excited for more of this family- an excellent start to a new series!

Oof, okay. I am giving myself permission to DNF more books when I can tell I won't enjoy them. And after reading 3 chapters, I am DNFing.

There's nothing exactly *wrong* with the book, except I didn't fit with the writing at all. You know how sometimes you start reading a book and you're immediately swept away by beautiful writing, prose, dialogue? That did not happen here. Instead the first chapter (from the heroes POV) and the second chapter (from the heroine's POV) gave a step by step plot summary of their lives. It felt like I was reading a powerpoint presentation.

Promise Me Forever by Layla Hagen is a sweet contemporary romance read that features Tate Maxwell, single Dad to adorable nine year old daughter Paisley and her nanny, Lexi. I LOVED these characters! Layla writes such beautiful stories. The way she is able to interweave family, love, friendship and loyalty into each and every story I love.

Tate Maxwell is the CFO of Maxwell Wineries. He is a hardworking and devoted dad and believes family always comes first. The Maxwell family consists of Tate, his five brothers, two female cousins, his mom & dad and grandma Beatrice. I loved the family dynamic of the Maxwells. Plenty of playful banter and teasing that had me smiling and laughing out loud. They are also a fierce and loyal group. Tate has had to pick up the pieces of Paisley’s mother leaving him and their daughter for a life of modelling. He hasn’t had time or room in his heart for relationships. UNTIL LEXI.

Lexi Langley is a fourth grade teacher and is on her summer break, looking to make some extra money to help her family while on her summer break and applies for the nanny position. Upon first meeting Tate and Lexi had some seriously incredible sparks. The heat between these two burned off the pages! I enjoyed the light push and pull while they grappled with their feelings that should be forbidden.

The Single Dad/Nanny trope is one of my favourite tropes to read in romance. There is something so special about the love between dad and daughter and nanny and child.

This was a great intro to Layla’s new series. There was some light drama that I wasn’t a fan of which kept me from giving this a full five stars but other than that I adored it! I love the ground work laid for the next couples book!

Well this was wholesome and cute at times.

--But mostly it was incredibly boring. I didn't even bother to finish even though I nearly made it to the end. The spicy scenes are quick and nothing to get too excited about. They don't progressively get better. Each scene is just about the same.

If this book were a color it would be some sort of bland beige.

That is all.

Really cute single dad/nanny romance. It was a bit cliche and childish at times but I kept smiling so I don't think I minded that much. I loved Paisley and Lexi was so great with her and it was clear to see how Tate fell in love. I would have liked a bit more angst and some groveling but it was really fluffy. The family chaos was fun as well. I'm hooked and will be reading the brothers' books next.

This books was pretty cute, but it just didn’t make me feel any big emotions. However, something I really liked was how Lexi was always taking selfies with Tate and Paisley. I feel like a lot of authors forget about how couple take pictures together, so it was nice to see that included here

2.5 starts for me because the first half of this book was so great and then the second half seemed incredibly rushed and a little cringy. The writing seemed like something I would read on wattpad instead of kindle. The story has a good premise, but I lost interest with all the random 2 week time jumps to make the story seem longer when in reality it seemed like within a month Lexi went from nanny to mom? That’s not realistic. I think the writing ruined this one for me.

Promise Me Forever begins a new series by Layla Hagen who is known for her inter-related family series. While each book can be read as a stand-alone, I personally love getting to know the family members and then getting updates on their lives as each book features a sibling who falls in love.

This series features the six Maxwell brothers: Tate, CEO of Maxwell Wineries; Travis, a successful businessman in the process of selling his start-up; Declan an attorney; Sam, a doctor; Luke, a businessman, and Tyler, a goalie for the Chicago Blades hockey team. Their female cousins, Reese and Kimberly, are also featured as well as their parents and wise, spunky grandmom, Beatrice.

I really like when the parents are alive and involved in the story-line. So many romances today have it where the parents are dead and the children had a horrible upbring. It’s really refreshing to read when the siblings get along and support each other, and are at ease enough to tease and have fun, while standing in their corner or speaking the truth when needed. Layla writes contemporary romance with low angst, laughs and tears, as well as plenty of romance and steam, and sometimes a villain or two!

In book one of the Maxwell Brothers series, Tate is a single dad, raising his nine-year old daughter, Paisley, alone. It was very emotional to read how her birth mother chooses to distance herself, and I really admired Tate’s level head and how he handled this situation with Paisley, raising her to be confident and self-assured, even though it was breaking his heart that she was hurting.

His devotion to his daughter was evident, and he took great care in finding the perfect nanny to care for her over the summer months. It was fun when his brothers would break his chops and tease him, but as I single mom, I could relate with the daunting task of finding the right caregiver for your children.

Lexi Langley is on summer break as an elementary school teacher and couldn’t be more perfect for the job. I liked how she was older and not in her early 20s and experienced life a bit. I love that her parents, too, were in her life, and how she was raised with morals and values. She genuinely loved children, and it showed on every page in the book. Lexi was warm and caring, and went to great lengths to plan educational and fun activities for her adorable little charge, whom she couldn’t help but love.

I really loved how Lexi put family first and took a great interest in getting to know the Maxwells and become part of their family. Too many relationships fail today because individuals are too busy doing their own thing, and it was wonderful to read how well they blended and cared for one another and their extended family. I loved how Lexi was sensitive to the fact that Paisely’s birth mom wasn’t regularly in her life, and without overstepping, became the mother figure she needed.

Although they tried to resist their attraction to one-another, they eventually gave in and it was full steam ahead. I love how the author didn’t drag it out and that they honestly liked each other and enjoyed spending time together. Tate was a tall, handsome, smart, sexy swoonfest, always saying the sweetest things. He was not afraid to share his feelings and melted Paisley’s panties right off! He let her know in no uncertain terms his desire for her which made their sexy times that much hotter. She was fully committed to him and I love how she didn’t play games and shared her feelings as well.

There was also some drama tossed into this romance as his cousin Reese’s relationship with her ex-fiance´ did not end well, and he kept reappearing to everyone’s chagrin. This resulted in some bad news for his brother Tyler, a pro-hockey player. Hopefully Tyler’s headed towards some better days as this book ended with him meeting a woman named Kendra. Could it be the beginning of book two? I don’t know, but am going to be sure to read it as I want to learn more about the Maxwells, and Lexi and Tate.

This author is a one-click for me. So many times, I do not even read the blurb. Fortunately, to date, she has yet to disappoint me.

An exciting new series is featuring the six Maxwell brothers. This story centers around family, and we start with the single dad, Tate. Paisley, his nine-year-old daughter, needs a caregiver. Then, Lexi applies for the job, and sparks fly. Will she get the job, or will they give in to the attraction?

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

but I really did! it was a sweet romance, not much angst between the main characters. there was some like family drama, but it wasn't too crazy

overall it was a nice book, glad I read it after my few not so great books lol

I LOVED this book! This book had me all in my feels!! I haven't read many single dad romances, but if they are all like this book, please sign me up!!

Right from the start, Tate and Lexi had some amazing chemistry that I just couldn't get enough of. Lexi was the perfect match for both Tate and Paisley. My heart broke for Paisley several times when dealing with her mom Nora. But I loved watching the relationship grow between all three of them.

The banter with the brothers and cousins was great! Not only that, but the closeness they share is something everyone wants. They are always there when someone needs help. Lexi fit right in with Tate's family.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Maxwells 1 hat mich unfassbar positiv überrascht!

Tate is a single father to his 9-year old daughter, Paisley, and is the CEO of Maxwell Wineries. To say his life is busy is an understatement. After losing yet another nanny, he is desperate to find a new one that actually has real experience with kids. And that’s where Lexi comes in.

Lexi’s an elementary school teacher who decides to get a summer job to help pay for her mother’s medical bills. She’s immediately attracted to Tate during her interviews, which she knows is trouble, but Lexi is willing to set her attraction aside to help her family.

Paisley & Lexi immediately hit it off and that doesn’t go unnoticed by Tate. It’s been far too long since Tate’s been with a woman, let alone bring her around his daughter. And now all he can think about is the one thing he shouldn’t have: his daughter’s nanny.

Promise Me Forever by Layla Hagen is book 1 in the Maxwell Brothers series. This was a sweet, very low-angst romance. I loved Tate’s daughter Paisley. His relationship with her was absolutely precious. I wish there had been more tension, more push & pull between Tate & Lexi. I could’ve done without the family/business drama in exchange for more drama/angst within Tate & Lexi’s relationship. I enjoyed this one, though, and do plan on continuing in the series. 3.5/5 stars.

This was cute. It was my first book by this author and I’m willing to read more. Her writing is simple, but not in a bad way. It made the story easy to read and get a feel for the characters.

The relationship between Liam and Lexi was sweet. I liked the way their relationship progressed. They were what each other needed and also made a good trio with Paisley.

I did have some issues here. One of my issues was that even though this was the first in the series, I felt like I should have read something else by this author. There were so many family members introduced from the Maxwells that either they were introduced in other series, or we were just getting an info dump. That chopped up the story for me because I’m trying to remember who was who and how they were related.

Another issue for me was that while I enjoyed most of this, it was really just a lot of this everyday life, and the issues were pushed to the back burner. We had the drama of Liam’s grandmother’s bookstore and Reese’s ex who’s trying to ruin the family name. It really took a lot from the romance here.

All in all, this was cute but not going to be something I'll reach for again.
