Railguns make for a hell of a wakeup call.

Explore, rebuild, restore. Those were Gabriel’s priorities as commander of the Reclaimer mission.

When you’re shot out of the sky it’s time to reevaluate your options.

Lost, alone, and low on supplies, Gabriel finds himself in the bones of the old world. A beautiful, pristine place with the clearest skies and cleanest air. A wild and dangerous place where nature and magic have regained their hold.

Monsters, beasts, and demons too stubborn to die out threaten humanity’s future.

But when faced with a Reclaimer, even those nightmares will learn fear.

It’s a whole new world!

So Gabriel and the Reclaimers went into cryosleep, and upon their rude awakening they find the whole world has changed. Far more than they expected! Now they’re scattered across the country at least, possibly the world! Gabriel has to get stronger to face the challenges of the new world, which means it’s magic time! And level up time!

Big pluses to this book is just how much Gabriel grows in this book vs previous entries in the series. Also it’s nice to see how Gabriel and Alexander’s relationship has grown and continues to evolve. The inclusion of more arcanists in this one is interesting as well, as we can see how much things have changed since Deadman changed the world. Great action scenes, and some new characters to keep things interesting. Can’t wait for the next book!!

This book opens with a bang (a devastating surprise attack) and the pace never lets up. Starting a new, four book story arc in the Reclaimer series, this time hero Gabriel and his Reclaimer troops have finally made it back to Earth.

Except, a lot (a heck of a lot!) of time has passed and the situation on the planet is not what Gabriel had been briefed to expect. It's much, much worse.

From massive carnivorous plants called murderflowers, huge deadly birds with a humorous name, and strange beings with magical powers, Gabriel finds his welcome home anything but cordial! But he tackles each challenge with his usual gung-ho gusto, and makes some new allies along the way, including the adorable Luna with the glowing eyes.

If you enjoy a hi-octane sci-fi dystopian action adventure, then I can strongly recommend this latest book in the Reclaimer series. I'm looking forward to the next installment!

(I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review)

Good read. I enjoyed the ride.

I liked the overall story and the concepts the book offers. I would have liked to see the MC and the side characters grow a bit more. I felt that the group was always fighting off the back foot and always coming up against huge obstacles. I get that makes for some exciting fights and story, but I would like to see some stability or foundation form for the concept of the magic systems. Overall a great read

Awesome new entry!

I am super happy to see more with Gabriel and Co as they get past the time skip. The new world is super cool and I’m looking forward to seeing more of it as the series goes along.

Good Read!

Enjoyed the new yet old world the MC has to learn to navigate. Also like that the MC is using his powers more than in previous books and seems to be figuring them out faster. Looking forward to the next book.

It's not what I expected. I liked the world-building; it has a lot of potential. I can't wait for the next one. There are some great things, although there are details that, in my subjective opinion, could have been better. I only have a problem with one of the new protagonists; the rest is great.

Disappointing

Gabriel seems to have become even dumber and more reckless than in the first 4 books. You'd think he'd habe learned his lesson by now. Not to mention that 2/3 of the book just feels like filler

good read

I honestly can’t put this series down. I love the meshing of magic and technology. Both seem to be well thought out and executed
