OMG this should come with a warning," read in bed with your favorite toy (breathing or battery operated)" Yup, it was steamy, hot, sizzling, wow mamma. I made the fatal mistake of not taking this one to bed with me. (won't make that mistake again) But this is not just an all out erotic fling of bed sport. There is a wonderful little story behind it all, a bit of suspense/thriller starts the story out, but never fear she gets to the romance/bed sport quick enough. I loved that she had me guessing who done it and where they would catch the bad guy in the beginning and then sums it up with some hot sizzling scenes that made even me steam up.

Now I will warn you this does have some M/M action in it along with MFM so if that's not your forte then this may not be for you, but if that is a far off fantasy of yours then snuggle up with your copy and get ready for a great read to end your day with.

Somewhere in Between
by Stacey Kennedy
Erotica Romance

I read Takedown and fell hard for Wyatt and Rye. They were such great characters, but in Somewhere in Between, Ms. Kennedy gives us a different taste of these delicious men.

Wyatt is a U.S. Marshall who takes his job seriously. But when he meets Darby under harsh circumstances, he finds himself being oddly pulled by her presence. There was something about Darby Grant that makes him go out of his way to care for her. I found that I really liked Darby. She was a strong heroine who had been through a hell of a tough time. She has her vulnerable moments but by the end, I loved that she was able to find herself again and learn to take control of her life.

The romance surprised me. This being such a short book, I wondered how Ms. Kennedy would be able to make me love Darby as much as I loved Wyatt and Rye whom I thought really worked well with one another in Takedown. Somehow, it works and there were some really great moments between the three of them that made me swoon. The last few lines of this book are particularly beautiful.

She glanced from Wyatt to Rye, and smiled. "I'll fit somewhere in between."
Wyatt grinned. "In between the two of us-"
"Is the perfect place for you to be," Rye finished for him.

Overall, I enjoyed this read by Ms. Kennedy. It was short but sweet, keeping with the characters I had come to love in Wyatt and Rye while bringing in a woman who complimented them as well as enhanced them.

What better way could there be to get over a terrible experience than to be embraced and loved by two men? Her therapist told her she should get out and start living again.

Rye, his lover of a few months, makes Wyatt happy but he wants a woman to have kids with. He nor Rye realized they were bisexual until going to Madam Eve's match making service. Wyatt doesn't understand why he's so intent on personally seeing to Darby's safety.

Darby’s a torture victim of Wyatt's latest serial killer case. When her home is broken into a month later and Wyatt is there to help, she gladly takes him up on his offer to stay at a hotel in adjoining rooms. She has a nightmare of being a captive and the torture she endured and runs to Wyatt's room and asks to sleep in bed between him and Rye, who'd joined him earlier. She felt so safe with them and had the best sleep she's had in years.

Who is Madam Eve and how does she know exactly what everyone wants and needs even if they don't know it themselves?

Some m/m oral and groping along with a ménage love scene.

At 46 pages, this is a very quick read with lots of chemistry between all three main characters and a good story line.

Somewhere in Between is a novella that follows Stacey Kennedy's book Takedown. In Takedown, we meet Wyatt and Rye – which is a male/male erotic romance. In Somewhere in Between, Wyatt and Rye meet a woman named Darby who they instantly feel a connection with. This book contains both a male/male love scene and a threesome.

These books aren't for everyone. I know that a lot of people are squirmish when it comes to M/M love scenes, but Stacey Kennedy makes it HOTTT. There's more to it than just sex, the characters have a connection that takes it to another level. There is also an interesting story involved. Wyatt is a U.S. Marshall who is trying to catch a killer. Darby is a victim that Wyatt feels compelled to protect.

The story is sweet, sexy, and suspenseful. This novella is a quick read – you can easily finish it in one setting which makes is really convenient. Stacey Kennedy writes a great story. If you are on the fence about trying books like this, I suggest you try this one – I bet you'll like it!

Hot & Sexy!

This was a very enjoyable fast paced, short, sexy, and hot read. Madam Eve is at it again with her match making and Wyatt and Rye’s matching from the first book “Take Down” was just the beginning for Madam Eve when she fulfills her contract to satisfy her customers.

The story captures you immediately as you read about the serial killer and the agony that Wyatt goes through to catch the wicked killer who has brutally murdered several women. Wyatt’s relationship with Rye is wonderful but when Darby comes into their path due to the interesting circumstances, Wyatt and Rye find themselves accepting Darby right between them and making their dreams come true.

Great read, I smiled throughout the whole book as I found myself falling in love with Wyatt and Rye all over again.

So HOT my Nook almost melted!

In Takedown, we meet U.S. Marshall Wyatt Tanning who seeks the woman of his dreams in an unconventional way and gets quite a surprise when he ends up falling for UFC fighter, Rye Daniels. While on a case to find a serial killer, Wyatt receives a lead from the very woman who set him up with Rye, Madame Eve, and is able to rescue Darby Grant from the hands of the killer before she can become another victim. A month after her abduction has passed, Darby is starting to piece her life back together when she finds US Marshall Wyatt at her home and learns the killer who almost took her life is on the loose and intent on finishing what he started. Forced to leave her "normal" life behind, she finds herself with a sexy new and exciting future!

Stacey Kennedy can do no wrong in my book! Somewhere in Between is a sexy, short tale for anyone that's looking for a little spice and excitement in their reading. I love the strong Alpha male characters Wyatt and Rye are in the first in the series and they made me love them even more in this book! Darby is an emotional wreck after her near death experience with a sadistic serial killer, Marcus, who kidnapped and tortured her before Wyatt saved her. She has a wall up and is not trustworthy of others, but that all changes when she's in the company of Wyatt and his lover Rye. In Darby, Wyatt sees the missing piece to completely fulfill his life, a female companion that can give him the family he's always wanted, something that catches him completely off guard. Vulnerable Darcy feels safe in the company of Wyatt and Rye and soon finds herself attracted to both men.

Things flow pretty quickly once everyone's feelings are revealed. Wyatt and Rye are hot together, but nothing prepared me for the sensuality Darby brought out in them. While both characters had instant chemistry with Darby, I was a little surprised to see how quickly Rye accepted her into his relationship with Wyatt and how tender he was with her. I love how these two strong men offer Darby their protection and are willing to put their own emotions aside to see her heal from this tragedy. In the end Darby started her healing process with the love of not one but two handsome princes by her very own secret fairy godmother, Madame Eve!

This book is written in a novella-style but gives the reader a solid story by adding suspense and sexy romance. It can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading the first in the series to get a better understanding of the characters. Somewhere in Between is a smokin' hot read that is sure to please erotic romance lovers and spark the interest of those new to the ménage genre!

PLOT:
After picking up Somewhere In Between, a sexy and delicious read, I couldn't put the novella down. Sure, this scrumptious menage was short and didn't take more than thirty minutes to read, however phones went unanswered and the laundry was left for afterwards. I simply had to find out the mystery behind Madame Eve's phone call to Wyatt and I also wanted to know how Darby would find a happy ending after going through the torture of being kidnapped and beaten. In so little space, the author spun a story of pain, suffering and loneliness only to have that melt away into something heart warming and of course sizzling. She wrote an intriguing mini love story with very well placed plot developments and intriguing dialogue between the three main characters, Wyatt, Rye, and Darby.

SETTING:
Somewhere In Between takes place in an Urban setting.

WRITING:
Stacey Kennedy has come into her own style of writing and has developed into a wonderful author. I love how her ability to entwine a story around me heart through her characters alone. Add to that the engrossing plot and I'm there. It is that very writing trait that has endeared me to her books. I also note her attention to details and her ability to offer works - either indie published or traditional published - with proper grammar and editing.

CHARACTERS:
Wyatt Tanning, U.S. Marshall, and Rye Daniels, UFC fighter, are the two main characters from a previous 1NS novella by Stacey Kennedy titled Takedown. While I did not read that novella, I had no problem with discovering what kind of characters both men were in this book. I love a man with such inner strength and know-how when it comes to being gentle with a woman. Both Wyatt and Rye delivered in both areas when Darby enters the picture. And I loved Rye's witty sense of humor that lightened up the story at just the right moments.
Kidnapped and beaten Darby had some pretty bad odds to beat that took just as much inner strength as what Wyatt and Rye show. I love it when a woman is portrayed as being strong enough to lift herself back up but not afraid to ask for comforting and help when she needs it. Darby won me over with her kind heart and strength. I wonder what kind of characters will be shown to us in the next One Night Stand novella...

LAST THOUGHTS:
An absolutely MUST-READ for this genre! Stacey Kennedy has written a novella that spoke of determination and the power of friendship and love. A great combination. I loved the fluidity of the writing and story and hope to maybe see these characters again in the future. I can hope, right! Keep them coming Ms. Kennedy!

Somewhere in Between was a very hot novella in the A 1 Night Stand series. There were two sexy alpha males; one a U. S. Marshall and the other a UFC fighter and a beautiful nurse that manage to find love and form an unconventional relationship. This story had m/m and m/f/m scenes so this is not for the faint of heart.

This story will pull you in from the very beginning with Wyatt Tanning, a US Marshall in pursuit of a serial killer by the name of Marcus Walsh. Months had gone by without any new leads and Wyatt and his team were becoming more and more disappointed. Then Wyatt receives a strange message from Madame Eve that gives him hope of finding Marcus’ hideout and saving some of the women that he held captive. Wyatt and his team find the hideout and are able to rescue the women but Marcus still eludes capture.

Darby Grant is one of the women that Marcus had kidnapped and tortured. Wyatt instantly feels a connection with her and decides to keep watch over her until they find Marcus. After Darby’s house is broken into, Wyatt decides to take Darby to a safe place. He calls in his boyfriend, Rye Daniels to help him watch Darby. Even though Wyatt is in a relationship with Rye he has always wanted to find a woman that he could marry and have children with. After being set up with Rye though, Wyatt realizes that he needs to find a woman that will love him as well as accept his relationship with Rye.

I was surprised at how fast both men fell for Darby. The attraction to Darby came pretty quickly for Wyatt but I was shocked at how open Rye was to welcoming Darby into his and Wyatt’s relationship. The sex scenes between Rye and Wyatt were sizzling but it got even better when Darby came into the picture. Even though she had gone through a horrific experience and almost lost her life, Darby was able to start healing with the love of not one but two men. The book was too short to include a whole lot of romance but I liked the fast paced storyline with the heroine being in danger and her two heroes keeping her safe. This was another great story written by Stacey Kennedy.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book. We first met Wyatt and Rye when Madame Eve from 1NightStand matched them together even if Wyatt was thinking that he’d be matched with a women but he finds Rye to be just what he needs. Both Wyatt and Rye have been waiting months for Madame Eve to find the perfect women to be not only okay with a poly relationship but be okay with them being lovers as well. Wyatt is currently on a case to try and find Marcus Walsh whose a sadistic psychopath, as he’s abd*cted and t*rtured multiple women for supposed BDSM training but he’s having no luck, it isn’t until he gets a random message from Madam Eve saying that she knows about his current case and a women called Darby is being held by Marcus and needs his help and where she currently being held. Wyatt decides to believe what Madame Eve told him so he rounds up his team and they go and investigate.

They find multiple women and Wyatt feels an instant connection with Darby and when he finds out that she has no family he takes it upon himself to watch over her until Marcus is apprehended. A month after Darby was rescued she finds that her house has been broken into luckily Wyatt has been keeping an eye on her and she feels safe when he agrees to get adjoining hotel rooms to stay with her and keep her safe, Rye shows up after getting a call from Wyatt to bring his clothes, and starts getting hot an heavy Wyatt tells him that wasn’t why he invited him and points to Darby. Darby doesn’t mind that Rye stays with Wyatt in the other room as it makes her feel safer. Rye felt some sort of connection to Darby just like Wyatt. I loved seeing Rye’s softer side come out with Darby, compared to how he is with Wyatt. I just wish this book was a bit longer as it was a bit insta-love but it’s a novella so you kind of expect that and considering everything Darby went through before being finding Wyatt and Rye it doesn’t bother me as much as it usually would, as why wouldn’t you grab any form of happiness you can get. I’d recommend this book and author to everyone.

It’s been a few months since Rye Daniels and Wyatt Tanner first met in Takedown. They have moved to Houston where there are not able to spend too much time together due to the serial murder case that is taking up all of Wyatt’s time. This case has led to too many dead ends and Wyatt finally catches the break he needs when Madame Eve emails him his best lead yet.

Darby Grant has been rescued from her living Hell. The Hell is not over though. After surviving a kidnapping horror that several women did not she is trying to put her life back together when her home is broken into. Wyatt the US Marshall who rescued her happens to be present when her home is broken into and immediately takes it upon himself to see that she is not only placed into a secure location, but he intends to see that it is secured by him.

The email from Madame Eve has Wyatt wondering if Darby is the female he and Rye both originally requested. He is also questioning if she would be comfortable with both he and Rye and all of their male alphaness. The emotions run high in this installment of the 1NightStand series. I love the contrast of Rye and Wyatt. Rye is easy going and fun, behind all of his tough fighter. Wyatt is by the book professional and almost uptight. Add a sexy female into this mix and you get one extremely hot erotic romance!

Kennedy has squeezed so much into these short 46 pages. Readers get suspense, romance and exceptionally hot sex scenes. I think one could read this without having read Takedown, but that is the story of how Rye and Wyatt met and I can’t imagine why anyone would want to skip out on that novella of total alpha smutty yumminess.

My Review:
I really like how Stacey put these two books together. We got to see Rye & Wyatt get together in Takedown (that review was posted earlier this morning.) They had both contacted Madame Eve to find a match...a female match, but instead she brought them together which they found perfectly acceptable. Hehe!

Now Madame Eve has sent Wyatt a message about a woman named Darby that needs his help having something to do with the case that he is working on. He finds Darby locked in a basement, naked, and beaten with a group of other women. Unfortunately she doesn't have anyone else to look out for her, so Wyatt takes it upon himself to secretly watch over her while her captor is still at large. He feels a connection to her.

I love the way that this story played out. I continue to love Rye & Wyatt, but putting Darby with them was just pure perfection. Even before it became sexual, there was a certain chemistry between the three of them that simply fit. Wyatt is the protector. Rye is the charmer. Darby is the emotion. All three together are simply awesome. My only issue with this book was that it needed to be a bit longer. These three were willing to make a commitment to each other after a single night which, even for a romance novel, is too fast (for my comfort.) But regardless of that, it was a great book. I loved the action in it. I loved the emotion in it. And let's face it, this is an erotic book and it was damn hot! Fantastic series!!!

Reviewed by Joe: If there’s one thing I love it’s those deliciously naughty erotic thrillers from the 90s where the cop fell in love with the woman he was supposed to be protecting and they have an affair filled with hot sex scenes. Well Ms. Kennedy’s newest work is exactly like that, except there’s another man thrown in for some bisexual fun. As a bisexual erotica writer I try to read every bi story I can get my hands on and this one is a treat.

The story is exciting and thrilling. The characters are interesting and real and the sex scenes are hot. The only thing I would have liked would have been more action during the big three-way scene, I would have liked to have seen some more m/m action or even some dp action.

I must admit The 1 Night Stand series is hit and miss for me. Some of the stories are hot and some are flat and completely miss the mark. Luckily Ms. Kennedy’s story is hot and totally hits the bullseye straight on. I thought it was an interesting twist to the series and I have to applaud her for thinking outside the box. I hope she has other stories about these characters because I sure would love to act as a voyeur to more of their sexual adventures.

One word to describe this short story is HOT! I absolutely without a doubt loved it and will be adding all the rest of Stacey Kennedy's books to my kindle ASAP! I read this story without even getting up to go get a drink or doing anything else which is unlike me. The characters were so vivid and real that I wanted to be Darby's friend and help her through her awful ordeal. Add in two very hot and macho men and you have one fantastically awesome piece of erotica! Wyatt Tanning is one big guy who helps get the bad guys. His little secret is that he likes hot sex with his lover Rye another big guy who fights in the UFC.

They may think fate got them together when in fact the owner of 1 Night Stand service knew the three of them would make a great triad couple. The thing that I liked so much that even though it implied that the 3 of them might only be together for one night you could feel that the chemistry between the 3 was much more than a one night stand. They were sincere, honest and genuine with each other. I will definitely be talking up Stacey Kennedy to my friends!

I am a huge fan of Stacey and I honestly had no intention of reading this book. I didn't think I could enjoy man on man. On top of that I LOVE LOVE paranormal and I do not always dig 3 somes. So see I did not have a lot of motivation to read this, except that it was a Stacey Kennedy book and I love her. And even though I did not read Takedown, this book was amazing!

Somewhere in Between has to be one of the hottest and sexiest books I have ever read. The story was so sweet too. Everything flowed together so nicely. The relationship between the 3 was so natural and their sex was just amazing. Both guys were so sweet to Darby, I wanted to cry when she crawled into bed with them.

I hope she writes more with these three because I am hooked! If you are looking for a sexy read and even if you are like me and on the fence about reading some man on man loving, trust me, Wyatt and Rye will leave you needing a cold shower or something or someone to take away the heat they create!

I've read several 1 Night Stand stories from Decadent Publishing and this one has to be one of my favorites. Not only is it different from the norm, but it is extremely hot. You'll need a cold shower after this one.

Stacey Kennedy continues with the guys from Takedown, putting U.S. Marshall Wyatt Tanning on another rough case. When he discovers the place where the serial killer is hiding his future victims, he finds himself attached to one of them.

Darby Grant, a month after she was rescued, is just starting to venture out of her home when she learns it was broken into by the man who'd kept her chained up. When Wyatt agrees to keep her safe, she finds herself with two knights in shining armor. Only one has a dragon tattoo across his back and the other wears a U.S. Marshall uniform. It's a night she'll never forget and a situation she doesn't want to end.

I've got a few of these little smutty shorts, but this was the first one I tried. Obviously, it appears you can jump in wherever you want and not really miss anything. This story was like a full length book somehow accomplished in very few pages. Wyatt is a US Marshal who is determined to catch a stop a serial killer who is abducting women. He's already used 1Night Stand matchmaking and has found a good match with Rye, but is still looking for a women who can join them.

I was a little worried that this would be forced and awkward, having Wyatt discover Darby on a crime scene, but instead it was... tender and loving. The progression from victim to possible love interest didn't feel forced and made for a great read. If this is any indication for how these shorts go, I can easily see myself devouring them all.

It's not often I find a bisexual menage story but when I do, I'll nearly always read it to see how the relationships are handled differently from m/f/m menage stories. I wanted to see more development overall, especially in the mystery and relationships, but nothing stuck out enough to make me think anything other than that this was a nicely rounded, albeit very short story of a relationship between three people.

3.5 stars. Really great story. Love seeing Rye and Wyatt having continued their relationship. I really liked Darcy. What brought the rating down was how rushed things were between the 3 of them and how quickly the story ended. Would love a follow up to see them together and how things have progressed.

I was happy that Wyatt and Rye returned for another passion-filled evening and Darby was the perfect girl to add to the mix. To fake and unrealistic for me. I found that a novel of this type cannot be a novella, it needs more understanding and a slower progression due to the emotional aspect involved with the kidnapping and abuse. Barely 1.5 stars.
