This is definitely a steep up from book two. I enjoyed how this had a similar ending to Lilo and Stitch. I'm gii just happened to stumble upon this series because that was fun.

Et voilà, le dernier tome est enfin sorti. J’étais impatiente et en même temps un peu triste tout de même. Je n’aime pas terminé mes sagas, ça me fait toujours un pincement au coeur c’est terrible. Et encore plus quand c’est une saga que j’aime à ce point là! Stitch est vraiment mon personnage Disney favori, j’étais si heureuse de voir un manga avec lui dedans. Cette série n’est composé que de trois tomes seulement mais chaque tome était tout simplement génial à lire. C’est drôle, c’est original de voir Stitch vivre à l’époque des samouraïs, j’avais hâte de voir comment se terminait cette histoire et je n’ai pas été déçue. Ce troisième tome clôture à la perfection cette mini série!
Dans ce troisième tome, on retrouve Yamato et Stitch au village Tanaka. Et il n’y a plus aucun doute quelque chose d’étrange se prépare… Déjà bien occupés par leur petite vie très agitée, Meison Yamato et Stitch doivent maintenant s’inquiéter d’un nouveau problème : Jumba et Pikly, et leur nouvelle technologie ! Mais alors que le samouraï et son tanuki bleu retournent à leurs folles aventures faites de jalousie, de lancier et de café (por favor), le duo d’extraterrestres n’a pas dit son dernier mot : une attaque ultime sans pareille serait-elle sur le point d’être lancée ?
Jumba et Pikly m’ont bien fait rire dans ce tome, surtout avec ce qu’ils ont fait du village Tanaka. Ils ont crées un village parfait avec tant de technologies que les habitants n’ont plus qu’à prendre du bon temps et passer leurs journées à faire ce dont ils ont envie. D’autant plus qu’ils ont perdus la mémoire et ne préoccupe donc plus de la présence de Stitch. Yamato m’a, lui aussi, fait mourir de rire. J’ai adoré le moment où son père doit lui rendre visite, il va se mettre à tout cacher pour paraître impitoyable. Mais Stitch ne l’entend pas de cette manière.. Et va faire fondre le coeur du père de Yamato. En même temps, difficile de ne pas tomber sous le charme de notre très cher Stitch! J’ai beaucoup aimé la fin, de toute manière, il ne pouvait pas en avoir une différente de celle ci. C’était inconcevable.
Cette petite série en trois tomes a fait fondre mon petit coeur. Stitch étant mon personnage préféré, il était évident que j’allais craquer pour ce manga. C’est une histoire toute mignonne, avec beaucoup d’humour, qui nous fait passer un très bon moment. C’est vraiment un plaisir d’avoir lu ce manga. Lors de son annonce, je l’attendais avec impatience et je n’ai pas été déçue. Un peu déçue qu’il n’y ai pas plus de tomes mais en même temps je trouve que trois tomes c’était très bien. Sinon je pense que ça aurait fini par traîner en longueur et surtout devenir trop redondant. En tout cas ces trois tomes m’ont mis du baume au coeur et c’était tout simplement génial.

I wasn't totally sure how this would end but I totally loved it. Again, Jumba and Pleakley were so good. So happy that I went ahead and read this series, I happened upon them on accident at the library and it was meant to be. One sad thing that I did find out since getting them was that the author has passed away not long after publishing the last one, which was around last year!!! So bummed but thankful for this fun lil romp.

Clap de fin pour cette petite série autours de Stitch, et il faut bien l’admettre qu’il était temps ! Même si les gags sont marrants, sans réelle intrigue derrière on commence à se lasser un peu, surtout quand on connaît le film, car le déroulement est quasi identique. Malgré sa perte de mémoire, Jumba a conservé son intelligence hors-norme (et machiavélique), provocant littéralement un saut technologique très important dans cet époque féodale.
L’intrigue s’accélère avec l’arrivée du duo Jumba et Pikly, le village où ils ont trouvé refuge après leur perte de mémoire subi de gros changements. Ayant sauté plusieurs décennies d’évolutions pour atteindre un âge avancé. La technologie y est omniprésente, et la population locale semble s’y être accommodé, peut-être trop rapidement même. J’ai failli croire à un petit raccourci scénaristique pour ce point, mais une fois que j’ai avancé un peu plus dans l’histoire, l’intrigue offre la réponse à ce détail, ça reste assez simple, mais elle a le mérite d’exister au moins.
Par contre, là où il y une vraie incohérence, c’est dans la réaction et le comportement de Meison. Il arrive tranquille à Tanaka, remarque que l’architecture à drastiquement changé, mais sans plus… même le stratège à une réaction assez passive, même s’il se méfie un peu plus que son boss. Pour une série qui partait un peu dans tous les sens, je trouve ses réactions trop banales, voire incohérentes… suffit de voir les réactions autours d’appareils non identifiés pour comprendre que normalement on réagit autrement… On peut supposer que la présence de Stitch, considéré comme un Tanuki bleu a pu changer un peu cette vision mais tout de même, ça reste assez basique.

This review is one for the entire Stitch and the Samurai series.
I really enjoyed this entire series! The fact it's explicitly a completely alternate universe from the main canon is great- other Lilo and Stitch spinoffs suffer from "wait, where's Lilo, she and Stitch would never separate," but here Lilo just isn't a thing so that gets rid of that downside.
I loved the way Jumba and Pleakley were written. Their personalities were captured very well- ESPECIALLY Pleakley. There's one scene early on where Pleakley lectures Jumba for "doubting [Pleakley's] impeccable sense," and another where Pleakley is having a conversation and gets distracted by a mosquito.

There's one big flaw in this series, though. Stitch's characterization was... not good. He's supposed to start out as an evil monster who becomes better, not as a playful lonely little creature. He only becomes a playful lonely little creature after character development! So that gets a star knocked off.

So, Stitch and the Samurai wrapped up in only three books, which is slightly surprising, but I guess they didn't figure they could drag it out much more than that. Good on them, anyway! Trouble is, what they wrapped up was basically the exact plot of Lilo & Stitch but with feudal Japan... oh and also Jumba and Pleakley have amnesia for a hot second.
Cute, but not like a classic for the ages or anything.

Forse son più 2,5 stelline ma arrotondo per eccesso perché, tutto sommato, mi son divertita.
Il povero Yamato, dove aver passato un po' di tempo nella modernissima cittadina fondata da Jumba, deve vedersela con una ragazzina con cui Stitch si diverte a giocare, il padre venuto a vedere come se la cava e addirittura con una guerra con strani robottoni.
Non mi sarei mai aspettata di leggere una cosa del genere però ci vogliono cose allegre ogni tanto!

Moja ostateczna ocena serii "Samuraj i Stich" wynosi 6+/10. Choć seria ma swoje niedociągnięcia, w tym pewien stopień infantylności, które mogą zniechęcić starszych czytelników, to generalnie jest to ciekawa i atrakcyjna propozycja dla młodszych odbiorców i fanów oryginalnego filmu "Lilo i Stich".

Probably the best volume of the 3 but it has a weak ending. I'm glad to see Gantu, but he is in a very short amount of frames, and I would've liked to hear Stitch's plea with Jumba like we did in the original movie. Also in the original Jumba actually had a conversation about the plea.
Not as good or emotionally pulling as the movie, but it's still decent and I love Stitch.

Hilariously, the same legal loop hole that allowed Lilo to keep Stitch on Earth is what allowed him to stay on Earth in this timeline too.
