I thought that it is a really good book for someone who wants to know the depths of the ocean and what lives there and creepy creatures you can learn about shipwrecks. Some of the things look creepy but you can learn about any one of them. You can also learn about when to dive and where the best places are to go.

This book is a non-fiction book about seas and ocean and what you can see like beautiful or deadly fish. It;s not just fish though, it's sharks and squids too. Example: Viper fish, Vampire squid, box jelly fish, Great White Shark. There are also famous shipwrecks. I enjoyed that it was all interesting because that means by brain is learning more things. I also enjoyed that it showed lots of pictures about different things.

I really enjoyed this book (which I read as an ebook). The layout and photographs/illustrations are appealing and informative and I see this as non-fiction that would get students excited about science. It does not have to be read all at once and it includes a helpful table of contents if a reader's just interested in one aspect of marine science. It also includes a nice glossary of terms in the back. My favorite section was "Life in the gloom" which talked about deep-sea creatures. Recommended for ages 9-11, though I see this as a potentially helpful and informative text for older students who struggle with reading.
