I'm afraid that the jury is out on this one. Although I own several of the other Leon books, and I usually adore Baking books of all types, for some reason I just can't get into it. Having said that, I will at some point, give it another shot and then I'll update this review.

I really didn't need another book about baking, but I got it anyway because it just is so nice to leaf through it, and the recipies are quite nice too.

Some interesting recipes - Guiness Malt Cake, Red wine & dried fig cake, & 'Specied Chicken Mystery (aka rhubarb) Pie' - but quite a few that felt pretty run of the mill 'fillers'. Still good to check out :)

Quite enjoyed this book, it has many wheat-free and gluten-free options, which is great for me! As well as dairy-free, vegan, etc options. Will have to try some of the recipes before I decide if it's good enough to add to the bookshelf.

This is probably the best cookbook that I've ever read! Its full of colorful illustrations and easy instructions. I'm definitely going to buy more of their cookbooks!

Mostly a cookbook of desserts, but also lovely stories of the history or inspiration for the dessert.
