Another decent team up between Ghost Rider and Wolverine. I like how it incorporates their first meeting. Overall it’s a solid horror themed crossover that spans decades of their lives.

I wanted to give this book 3.5 stars it is not quite enough to get it to 4 stars. It's a dark horror style book. It does make more sense than the last Ghost Rider book. If the fights had been a bit better or a more decisive end, it would have been 4 stars for me.

Mutants are hunted again. Wolverine is chasing a demon that first brought him and Johnny Blaze together. Now, years later, they finally have a chance to finish what they started. However, could this be exactly what is planned?

For me, I think Wolverine has shown a bit more in this book than Ghost Rider, but there is a reminder at the end of how powerful Ghost Rider can be. It's not a great story arc or even a great crossover, just overall okay for me. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery.

Here it is, the crossover I never wanted!

My favorite Marvel character teams up with my arguably least favorite to hunt down a threat to both human and mutantkind. That, and the fact that some of the grisly gore is decidedly not Comics Code Authority approved, is about all you need to know going in. It was OK to pass the time but not a story, or pairing, I ever have any desire to return to.

Ghost Rider and Wolverine team up to hunt down a demonic entity that's being controlled by Orchis. I guess the demon previously inhabited a child who was rejected by Professor X? The backstory is somewhat baffling, probably dependent on your having read prior Rider/Wolvie teamups.

The action is aggressive and explosive, the exposition barebones. Weapons of Vengeance is a perfectly fine crossover that feels inessential to either series and likely won't have any long-run consequences. It's a quality comic if you like spectacle, and that's about it.

This was really dark but really interesting. Was I lost? Kinda. But I enjoyed the ride. Not super important to the Fall of X stuff but definitely needed for Wolverine’s story as he confronts more demons (pun intended) from his past.

When you put these two together, you know it's always going to be dark and crazy!
The story revolves around them hunting for a killer who is making art from corpses. They eventually find it is a young man possessed by Bagra-ghul, a demon who they hunted on a previous team-up. The demon is being controlled by Weapon Plus, a program being run by Father Pike, who works for Orchis. At one point, the demon is transferred to Wolverine, making him into the Hellverine, which is pretty awesome.
Overall, the story ends much like you'd think it would, but is incredibly entertaining throughout.
Recommend.

The crossover nobody asked for. Not shameful- art is very decent and inner monologues are surisingly very correct- but in the end I don’t care.

Percy being in the script, there are obviously some dubious shortcuts, character reactions that border on incoherence, a big bad guy in mwah-ah-ah mode and a guy you should feel sorry for-but don’t- but in the end I don't care.

I don't read Ghost Rider so I don't know who the goth chick hanging out with Blaze is.
But in the end I don't care.

Read the single issues.
It is an okay story.
The art is good.
Sadly I did not find the story itself very original and it was pretty clear from the start how this was going to go.

Put Wolverine and Ghost Rider in a story together and most likely I'll enjoy it. This was no exception, but it started out so much better than it ended up. The first part was excellent, a moody horror story that gave me goosebumps. Then things took a more traditional Marvel turn and it wasn't quite as interesting. That being said, it's still a cool team up with a decent story. I think it did have the potential to be better, however.

I came with no expectations at all. I mean, it’s Wolverine and the Ghost Rider… Yet I left deeply satisfied.
The story wasn’t that complex, but the whole demonic thing felt fresh and the narrative was quite compelling. The visuals were also quite fitting to the story. At some time I felt like watching an old episode of Millennium and that’s quite a compliment.

Hey there, book lovers! It’s your old pal, Ninetoes, coming to you from Ninetoes Loves Books Headquarters. Today, I am looking at Benjamin Percy’s Ghost Rider/ Wolverine: Weapons of Vengeance. I have coffee in my system and my thinking cap on, so let’s get to it!

When I was a kid, money was tight, so if I got comic books, I economized and got titles like The Justice League of America, The Avengers, Marvel Team-Up, and books featuring more than one hero. I was a huge Ghost Rider fan, and I loved The X-Men. I remember the days when Wolverine stole the show (is he still doing that?), and never in my wildest imagination would I ever dream of a team-up between Ghost Rider and Wolverine, yet here we are.

An evil entity has taken over a child, and wherever he goes, he leaves grotesque works of art. Wolverine has encountered this child, and so has Ghost Rider. At one point, while they are hunting this dark entity, they get into a tussle. They find they are working to the same end and join forces. Years pass, and the entity is now hunting mutants. It is time for Wolverine and Ghost Rider to saddle up (on motorcycles) and finish what they started.

The story is fantastic. Percy really pushed the limits of our imagination, and Shaw’s art filled in the blanks spectacularly. I had great expectations going into this book, and I was rewarded in ways I did not expect. I thought I was prepared for anything, but I was mistaken, and this is a good thing. I mean, HELLVERINE…really? Holy cow, what an experience. Picture the Ghost Rider, but as Wolverine. Yeah…that. I mean…it left me at a loss for words.

I heard this book referred to as a Wolverine horror comic, and it fits. This may not be a book for the little ones, so parents, please be advised. And Hollywood, PAY ATTENTION!!!! You are looking for your next money maker, here it is, just do not mess it up!

This book is perfect for Wolverine fans, Ghost Rider fans, those who love the macabre, and anyone looking for a great story coupled with great artwork.

I give this 5+ bookmarks out of 5!

You're telling me that NOBODY has been able to wipe out the 'Weapon' program in years?

So far it's given us:
Weapon I / Project Rebirth
Weapon II
Weapon III
Weapon IV / Project Sulfur - Man-Thing
Weapon V
Weapon VI
Weapon VII / Project Homegrown - Nuke
Weapon VIII
Weapon IX / Project Psyche - Typhoid Mary
Weapon X / Department K = Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, and Kane
Weapon XI
Weapon XII - The World program (XI,XIII,XV)
Weapon XIII - Phantomex
Weapon XIV - The Stepford Cuckoos
Weapon XV
Weapon XVI
Weapon H - Hulkverine (gamma radiation+Weapon X program)
Weapon Plus:Hellfire Program - Hellverine (demonic posession+Weapon X program)
Weapon Minus - Dr. Mindbubble (LSD+Supersoldier Program)
Weapon Infinity - the Deathlok program

That's a bunch of 'not good' and 'crazy' right there. This would have been interesting if they'd pushed this as a 'Marvel Knights' or something similar to DC's 'Black Label' darker content.

Johnny Blaze and Wolverine team-up to deal with a threat they should have put away years ago. Cue the team-up hilarity as they beat each other up just as much as the bad guy.

I'm honestly surprised it's taken this long for Percy to cross his two big ongoing books over, but the result is kind of just middling. The villain of the piece is sad, but hardly sympathetic so it's difficult to really care that he's getting attacked. Neither Johnny nor Logan are great at conversations, so it's down to Talia Warroad to pick up the exposition slack, despite flashbacks in almost every issue.

The best thing to mention is Geoff Shaw's art, which is great, but even that's not really much to write home about.

Okay, but not exactly lighting the world, or Johnny's head, on fire.

This was BADASS, I haven’t kept up to date with these runs on Ghost Rider or Wolverine (or much of the Krakoa era for that matter) but having read a lot of Ghost rider and Wolverine previously, this was a no brainer, two of my favourite characters teaming up for a mini event? Sign me up. Short, sweet and well constructed. The art is dark but clean, the tone is gritty and horror laced, well drawn and easy to follow.

Granted I had the big reveal spoiled basically when the issues originally printed but nonetheless this 4 issue graphic novel ticked all the boxes. I loved it start to finish.

So Ghost Rider has this parasite which kills people as a ceremony, then this parasite is also possessing this poor kid who grows anger for no good reason, after that Wolverine appears to ride a motorbike with chains coming out of nowhere to fight a such Jonny, Jonny is fighting a Ghost Rider who grows claws from his hands as if he was a parasite, then all this people die in a meeting, like in a ceremony...I am not sure why and I think it was Wolverine, or was it the kid? I don't know. Do I really have to read it again? I am dying in hell here!

It makes sense to cross over Ghost Rider and Wolverine since Percy writes both of them. This felt kind of bare bones though. The two of them are teaming up to go after a demon who possessed a kid years ago and is now killing mutants just because it's Fall of X season I guess. The reasons behind all of this just seem like "reasons" without any explanation other than normal humans are awful bigots. Geof Shaw's art is getting better and better.

Someone wanted to see Wolverine possessed by a demon but failed to deliver a quality story that left me wanting more. I was pumped to see why these two would battle it out, fearing that penance stare on the man who was really good at what he did, but the tale fell completely flat. Despite the cool imagery, it was boring to watch the misunderstanding or whatever unfold between GR and W.

A loud, violent crossover with lots of people dying messily, all of which could have been avoided if only someone had accepted Strange's number in the opening flashback. Also features a Frank Miller variant cover that makes Holy Terror look like a late masterpiece.

Team-ups aren’t often quite this much fun. Unlike some of the best team-ups, Ghost Rider and Wolverine clearly DON’T belong together, but it was really fun to watch them continue to work together in the course of the brief crossover series.

A cool team up! The characters do seem to fit well together, I'll have to check out other works where they partner up. The story was a good one, only a few cheesy moments deprived the book of 4 stars, as the artwork was also good.

Seems the only way to enjoy this according to the top reviews is to not have expectations or expect them to be broken. Would I say this is my favorite comic I've read so far? No. Was it terrible? Also no. I don't really get all the hate - it wasn't that bad or confusing.

This is a cross-over that I was not expecting. When I saw it in Hoopla, I could not resist getting it. The writers sure do love to torture Logan--mentally, physically, and emotionally. This time he had a fellow tortured soul, Johnny Blaze. The melding of sf and horror was interesting.
