Not so thrilled with this book as I wanted to be. It should have come as no suprise, tho. I wasn't a huge fan of 'Wiccapedia' (a book by the same authors as this one) either. With 'Wiccapedia', I found myself not being able to relate to alot of the stuff the authors wrote about. Their take on modern magic with the help cellphones and microwaves for example, seemde rather silly to me. That is just a personal opinion, tho, and I don't want to put shame on anyone willing to believe in these sort of magick-systems. Alot of the "flaws" from 'Wiccapedia' where repeated in this new book. Some rules and guidelines the authors provide you with come across as not really grounded or well thought out. It's so strange that this book is so heavy on the whole Wicca-theme and keeps on telling the readers that Wiccans don't believe in Satan or the Devil, because this is part of Christian believe. I agree with that, but I found it wierd that while these authors want you not to believe in Lucifer/Satan/the Devil, they do write alot about God and working with Angels. Aren't those Christian believes as well? The rules and guidelines about reading the tarot where off to me as well. I did like some smaller parts of informartion in this book, and even annotated those parts. I also have to admit that this book has a beautiful cover and overall lay-out. How sad that the look and feel of this book didn't really match up to the content we got provided with. Still, a three star rating from me!
