There’s nothing worse than finding your husband cheating on you with your best friend. Except living in a small town and having nowhere else to go. I’m living in my personal hell where I have to see the new happy couple everywhere and everyone knows what happened. At least I got the dog in the divorce. But my life is in a downward spiral and I don’t know how to stop it. My social life is nonexistent. My wayward sister just dropped her son off and left. Now I have a special agent knocking on my door, telling me he’s there to protect us, and he needs to stay with us for the foreseeable future. Did I mention he is sexy as sin? Myles ignites something in me that no man ever has. He’s kind, gentle, and funny. My own Prince Charming. But he’s secretive. He won’t tell me what happened to my sister or why these men want her son. All he will tell me is we are in danger. But from what? My heart wants to believe him. The more time we spend together, the more the sparks fly, but I know he’s lying to me. I’ve been burned once before; I’m not letting it happen again. I need answers. Now!
I am happily married to my husband of almost nine years and have two wonderful children.
I have always loved reading and writing and am thrilled to have published my first novel.
Paranormal romance is my go to genre and the genre I prefer to write in. I love the unique feel of creating an entirely different world and implementing it into the human verse.
Slow moving in the action department and love. Why you let her get walked over and on by her ex friend throwing the friend's relationship in her face with her ex husband I will never know why you didn't at least get her to tell them off, I was so frustrated with that and a little angry on behalf of scorned woman. Cutting off the story so abruptly what happened with her sister and nephew where do they go now don't even know if Cadence gets a HFN. Just stopped no epilogue nothing. Jason was killed how does Cadence handle his death and Tyler how does he handle losing his dad? To many questions left.
This was a fun read and the first in the series that I've read. It's well written and well paced. While it's not an insta love romance, it was fun to follow along to see how things would unfold for Myles and Elena. I love the idea of a shifter FBI agency, shifter protection services, and the suspense it brings to the story. All of the characters were well developed, even her nephew, Tyler. I found this story engaging and look forward to diving into the other books from the series :D
The first Bethany Shaw book for me. A paranormal dragon shifter story. Myles is sent to protect Elena and her nephew and what do you know, she’s his mate. This was a quick read and kept me interested throughout. Her ex bff is a raging bitch and I’d have loved to see her get karma thrown back in her face. One problem I did have was knowing whose perspective I was reading. It became a little confusing at times.
Yay!!!! Myles gets his story with Ehlena, a divorcee who has just had her sister mysteriously show up after 8 years to drop of her nephew and flee. She tells her a man named Myles will show up soon to help protect them from Tyler ( the boys ) dad. What a doozy of a tale!!!!
I really enjoyed reading this story ... it is filled with mystery, danger, intrigue, and action. Males is ob his own this time, while his team is taking their "couples" vacations.
Elana's sister is in trouble, he is a shifter and Elana doesn't know anything about them. The war is coming right to her front door.Read this series it is so good.
Ok, these books were on the shorter side, about 140 pages or so. But they were good. They had a complete story with interesting characters and some action. I enjoyed the book.
