Sulaymān ibn al-Mughīrah said, “'Abū Muslim and members of the army crossed the Tigris River and its strong tide ripped the ship apart; thus, they lost some of their possessions. 'Abū Muslim began walking on top of the river, and he looked back at his companions and said, ‘Did you lose anything so we can supplicate to Allāh, the Exalted, to return it?’”

"Abdullah ibn Al Faraj said, 'I saw Ibrahim in a garden in Sham, and he was sleeping lying down. there was a snake with a daffodil in its mouth, protecting him until he woke.' "
such are the beautiful encounters in this book. the "Allies of Allah" are the equivalent of saints. Spirituality and belief and faith are one of my favorite explorations, especially as they show in different cultures and traditions.
