Securities Training Corporation's Series 7 Training Program is designed to assist students in passing the Series 7 Examination. It consists of 22 chapters that cover the topical areas tested on the Series 7 Examination.
The magnum opus for STC. Got dull in the middle of the book, but once you’re through it you know you have to keep going to the final chapter of this saga. Looking forward to the completion of this series and to see what STC has in store in their next volume.
Having started the Series 65 a month ago and trudging my way through that, it’s making me miss the material of this Series 7 textbook. There’s intrinsic value to what you’ll learn in this - appreciate it folks!
Only read because I want to pass the exam. Do not recommend as a light fun read.
Up to four stars because this textbook is a FEMINIST ICON!! Every registered representative and financial advisor referenced in this book is FEMALE🤌🏻 I think some of the investors were male🤷🏻♀️ but they were mostly female as well :) I think this is my first ever textbook where that is the case
This book is a monster. I’ve read more from this textbook in 2 weeks than I ever did with any textbook in my four years of university as a finance major. First time I’ve read a textbook FRONT TO BACK. I read this whole hoe and boy it was a beating. OF COURSE I’m adding it to my Goodreads!
The training program I'm using had me finish reading this in just under 4 weeks. It was a lot of information to retain in such a short period of time, but I'm hoping the practice tests on STC's website will help me figure out where to go back and focus on the book. Taking the Series 7 in two weeks, so I'll have a better rating of the material once I find out if I passed! :D
Good coverage of everything you'll need to know for the test, but not necessarily a very exciting thing to read. I used it in conjunction with Robert Walker's "Pass the 7" book/audio book, and I think it was a good combo.
