Witness Lee (李常受, pinyin Lǐ Chángshòu) was a Chinese Christian preacher associated with the Local Churches movement and the founder of Living Stream Ministry. He was born in the city of Yantai, Shandong Province, China, in 1905, to a Southern Baptist family. He became a Christian in 1925 after hearing the preaching of Peace Wang and later became a close coworker of Watchman Nee. Witness Lee moved to Taiwan in 1949 as the Communists were advancing in mainland China. During the 1950s, his ministry extended throughout Southeast Asia and in 1962 Lee moved to the United States, relocating the base of his ministry to Southern California. He gave his last public conference in February 1997 at the age of 91. Many of Lee's spoken messages have been published in over 400 books and translated into more than fourteen different languages. Lee's major work is Life-study of the Bible, comprising over 25,000 pages of commentary on every book of the Bible from the perspective of the believers' enjoyment and experience of God's divine life in Christ through the Holy Spirit. Lee was also the chief editor of a new translation of the Bible entitled the Recovery Version.

I don't even know what to say on this one. i coudl write a book summarizing the point of this book. but i definitely came to know the lord Himself in a new and intimate way thorugh this book that hasn't left me. lots of books make you appreciate the lord. this one caused me to lay hold of him. this book really opened up to me what the Spirit is. From a charismatic backgruond I had an incomplete view of the spirit as the one that regenerated me and helped me in the christian life (which is true). this book systematicaly brings you through the bible to show that the Spirit today is the reality of Christ Himself. all of the aspects of the Person of Christ, His Work, His obtainments and His attributes and virtues are embodied in the Spirit. Today this Spirit is working in us through our enjoyment of Christ. We are one with Him. God's purpose is not that we would do something but that He could have opportunities to saturate us with Christ. what we bceome through that process is His inheritance for eternity future. "He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit." this book caused books like ephesians, 2nd corinthians, colossians and john to be opened to me at a much fuller level so that I could really come to a new place in my love for the lord. a critical item was that we aren't here to imitate christ. we're here to be "constituted" with Christ. a very important, fundamental difference that changed and refocused my christian life. i wish i had room to say more!

This is a very engaging and spiritually awakening book. I am still reading this book. By reading the portions that I have read in this book, my heart loves God more and I am clearer within concerning His purpose for man and for His universe and for His very heart's desire. I just finished page page 365 on the Triune Entrance of the New Jerusalem. What a mysterious expression! Want to know more?

Ephesians 1:10 says, "Unto the economy of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on earth, in Him." Surely this verse does not reference a monetary policy of God, but rather the Greek word for "economy" refers to a household management, or administration. God's plan is to head up the entire universe in Christ. To understand more concerning God's economy, this book guides the reader to understand more clearly this wonderful mystery of God's heart's desire and His way to carry it out.
