It was the title. It's so crackilicious, I couldn't resist.

It was just ok though. Would have loved to see either a flashback or some time spent during their ONS to give some basis for this love. Lots o' telling, not enough showing and the bad guy was a caricature. But it's a quick, easy read, and if that's all you're looking for in your alien sci-fi, you may enjoy this.

I read this book, because one of the best Book Buddy's I have asked if I wanted to - and c'mon it's Purple Aliens!! I had to do it. I had no hopes or expectations. I was seriously rolling my eyes before I even began. Oddly enough, it was well written and entertaining. It's a quick read and I actually enjoyed it. The only thing harder than writing a sex scene has GOT to be writing a sex scene between a human and the alien equivalent of Grape Ape!!!

Who doesn’t love a purple alien ? I mean come on he’s big, he’s pretty badass and putty in the hands of his woman ! Unfortunately though those pesky misunderstandings can get in the way .
In many ways the characters here remind me of those in the Preor series but obviously no wings are included. What we do get is Baila an independent human whose job on a space station is terminated because her boss doesn’t think pregnant females are attractive. I had a problem with that ( obviously) but can’t fault the author for letting the baby daddy save the day but there’s a lot about Zyriq that Baila doesn’t know.
Gotta love a guy who steps up to his responsibilities and as a short sexy read I can happily say that it’s not fleshed out with endless sex scenes . There are other characters who caught my attention and a definite fly in the ointment. If frank one character in particular started out obnoxious and then seemed to just realise what was important and I didn’t understand his motives but he’s just a supporting character. What did make me chuckle was Zyriq and his obvious devotion to Baila who really isn’t sure what to do. Perhaps the ending came too quickly for this reader and I would have liked a teeny bit more but as pure escapism it worked beautifully. I do enjoy the more serious and detailed sci fi romance available but sometimes there’s nothing wrong with light, silly stories that you can roll your eyes at and yet still want to keep turning the page.
This voluntary take is of an advance copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

⭐⭐ estrellas púrpuras. Final abrupto.

Cómo dio a luz y qué tuvo.

Purple Haze....

Who knew a purple alien hunk could be so hot......Purple is my favorite color, I want one!

Human Baila never imagined that leaving earth for the space station would change her so drastically? I mean literally she is turning purple, thanks to the one and only unforgettable passion filled one night stand she had with a purple alien!

Zyriq, First Born, War Captain never imagined that one night spent in the arms of the human Baila would leave him with a hunger for more of her. 2 months apart has been like a lifetime and when he next sees her he realizes why. After all, his kind cannot impregnate unless they are in love.

Offers an enjoyable reading experience, marked by its unique premise and engaging storytelling. However, the book leaves readers with a sense of missed potential, as it concludes rather abruptly, leaving room for further exploration and depth. With a bit more development and exploration of its intriguing concepts, this story had the potential to elevate from merely good to truly fantastic. Nevertheless, it remains a solid and entertaining read within the genre.

3.5 stars because it was so weird that I really really enjoyed it. I had many "okay?" moments which made me laugh! My favorite part was the one where he touched her belly and communicated with his child. The ending felt too rushed though.

Ok, lol

This wasn't bad per say. It wasn't good either.

That said, I think most of my rating is for the writing (because that wasn't bad and pretty good. I liked the tone). Maybe a star for the plot/characters.

It's kind of hard to rate this because I rolled my eyes a few times. Some points seemed ridiculous. But like, not BAD ridiculous. Let's see if I can explain this better...

You can't go into this thinking you're going to get some exceptional shit. I don't think it'll blow your top off off or rock your socks. Honestly, if you just finished reading something heavy and needed something to cool down with, then think of this book as your five-minute cool down after a rigorous workout session.

description

You'll get a little bit of funny. It'll seem a little far-fetched. You might even think to your self, "What in the actual fuck are these people on."

At the end of the day, you're handed purple aliens (YES), alien smut (DOUBLE YES), spaceships (WOOT) and purple sperm (Wait..what?)

The end.

If you have a sense of humor and are a fan of sexy purple aliens you'll love this! Totes fan of her work an oh so excited to read this. I was not disappointed! Oh...it MIGHT contain a spoiler. Just forewarning.

It was a sweet romance between a human female Baila and War Captain Zariq. They had one glorious night and Zariq couldnt wait to get back with Baila but would she still be there? Its been a couple months and he worries another has found her. Hmmm over his sexy purpleness body! Baila was left with a little present when she had her passionate night with Zariq. She desperately tries to keep her job and one thing after another leaves her in tears only to run into the baby daddy. On top of that...there is a tradition among his people about kidnapping their intended...um what? Its a joke right? Baila finds out its definitely not and to top off her fun lovin sandwich not everyone is on board with her carrying The First Son's heir...wait what? He's a what? Read and find out in this awesomely funny and exciting story!

So fun

This book was such a fun read. I really enjoyed this one. I listened to the audio & followed along in the ebook. The narrator was easy to understand and follow. I hope that there are more books in this universe. The characters were good, and the world building was great, too.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
Baila did not foresee that her one night stand would have lasting consequences.
Zyriq knew what he had to do.
He had to kdnap Baila of course!!
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!

Its not easy being purple

The hero came flying back at just the right time in this book. I love how he was all in, but kept getting waylaid. It added that bit of anxiety to the story that kept the intensity high. I also enjoyed the way family, annoying as they are, became worth so much more. Especially when an unexpected enemy tries to take out the competition. This book was a quick, fantastic read, perfect for poolside or anytime that you have a few hours at hand.

A sweet story with great characters

This was a fast and fun to read story. The heroine is sassy and the hero is in love, and the conflicts are relateable. I personally loved Pach because he, you know, turns himself around in the story. Can't wait to see if he gets his own shot at love too!

Had so much potential.

I had high hopes for this book as I love it when babies are the unexpected result of our main characters passion and as it was stated as the title of this book I thought I couldnt go wrong. But I was, so so wrong it was scary. Firstly the story doesn't start with the tale of how our couple first met and had their wild passionate night which resulted in an alien bun in her oven. Oh no we start off with our leading male Zyriq day dreaming about the night he spent with Baila a human. The story then jump starts to a very pregnant for 2 months Baila who after one night of passion got knocked up even though she was on a pregnancy blocker, talk about super sperm. It was hilarious that when he saw her, hugged and kissed her that he didnt realise she was pregnant. Nope he just thought she'd gained weight and more curves, yep dense much. And to be honest nothing really happens between them for the vast majority of the book while she decided whether or not she wanted to stay with him. After only knowing her for a day and spending 2 more days together after reuniting he confesses that he LOVES her and from the very first day they met no less. Um really after meeting someone the very same day!! I don't think so. What they had at the very most was a holiday romance/one night stand and what he could have felt for her was an attraction/infatuation not to be confused with love. But obviously as that scenario is not believable the author had to spin the result of the pregnancy in such a way for us to believe it. I'm not going to reveal the reason as to not spoil the book for anyone but once you read it you'll understand what I mean. Also he mentions to her that with just 48hrs together they made a baby but she states they spent 24hrs together. From the evening until the morning at which he left and that don't make 24hrs either so very confusing. He apparently made her scream his name 28 times during the night they spent together. Seriously that many times please she's only human he'd have killed her or put her in a pleasure induced coma!! Plus the villain in the story was sooo predictable and it seemed forced to be honest, he was a douche but nothing too strange about him and then all of a sudden he becomes a nut case?? Sorry not buying it im afraid. No matter how hard I tried to like this story I just found it to be very unbelievable, tedious at times and very rushed. I mean the story ends with them discussing the gender of their baby and nothing is revealed, we're left in the dark talk about ANNOYING. Only positive thing I can say is that sexy, dirty talk Zyriq seemed loving and caring though he was annoying with the dozen times he told her to go to 'medical'. Every time she did something he didn't understand he'd automatically think their was something wrong with her and send her over.

Baila is in trouble. Due to one passionate night with an alien, she discovers that she is pregnant with a super fast pregnancy. Her job as waitress in a bar on a space station is gone because the owner only wants sexy women as servers. Baila's big purple belly is not his definition of sexy so he fires her. Without a job Baila has a day to find another job or she will be kicked off the space station since only workers are allowed to stay. Luckily she runs into Zyriq, the alien who was the cause of all her problems.
Zyriq really enjoyed his night with Baila but duty called him away. Frustrated by everything that was keeping him away from Baila, he tries his hardest to return to her station. When he runs into Baila, he is shocked but happy to find her pregnant with his child. He wants to take responsibility for Baila and their unborn child but Baila doesn't want to be anyone's responsibility. Baila refuses to go away with him but fortunately it is his people's custom to kidnap their brides.
This is a great book with a lot of humor and passion. I really enjoy all of Celia Kyle's books with their strong characters. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Baila just wanted to throw caution to the winds for one night. For all the time she has been on the space station Zyriq is the first to tempt her. She never expected their time to have consequences. Can she accept the changes their nights bring?

The Purple Alien’s Prince’s Pregnant Bride by Celia Kyle is first in a new multi author series. I really enjoyed Zyriq and Baila. They had a night which turned into several nights. Their nights felt special but no word from Zyriq leads Baila to believe she is the only one to feel it. But a bun in the oven means she won’t soon forget it either. I thoroughly enjoyed Zyriq’s bullheadedness once he returns. Ms. Kyle made it both endearing and frustrating to both Baila and me. I loved seeing Baila figuratively bash her head at Zyriq’s comments and actions. I found myself amazed at how clueless he was even as he made me swoon with his protective nature. This sweet tale by Ms. Kyle is enjoyable, funny and cute. Baila and Zyriq for all that they didn’t really know each other, except for the biblical sense, still fit. I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Kyle’s addition to this line and hope she will return to this world in the future.

I don't really know what to think abut this book. It's short, so you don't really get to delve into the characters (and Baila's pregnancy hormones have her turning on an emotional dime just to keep you even more on your toes) or the alien culture. Probably the most well-developed character trait was Zyriq's utter exasperation with his cousin (I think the guy was his cousin. I know they were related somehow).

So. A one night stand ends with Baila with a bun in her oven and Zyriq off doing whatever alien prince's do. Just so we're clear he isn't some deadbeat alien prince, he isn't aware she's preggers and he's VERY MUCH looking forward to seeing her again once he gets station side.

As for Baila, she's dealing with an alien pregnancy, is about to lose her job and (by extension) her housing. She's a ball of emotions and mess and she lets Zyriq know this when they meet again.

Cue a little kidnapping, a not-so-thrilled with the circumstances of Baila's pregnancy doctor, and a sprinkling of danger. Because why not, amirite? Fun, if you don't mind wild pregnancy mood swings and such.

Baila has had less than a week with Zyriq a Morean who just happens to be big and purple and her contraceptive implant did not work and now she is two months pregnant with a big purple belly and about to be jobless and homeless. Zyriq has waited two months to see Baila again and is shocked to find her pregnant with his child but in true Morean tradition he kidnaps his bonded from the space station to his ship the Warkings Blade and at some stage he will get around to telling Baila that he is also War Captain and also First Son of the ruler which means he is technically a prince. Baila needed help but where did that involve kidnapping, also not everyone is happy with their bonding or her pregnancy. Zyriq will need to keep her safe even from his own people. Would love to see this become a series and find out what happens with Pach and Chall and see if they get mates too. A big thank you to Celia Kyle for the wonderful review copy. Loved it. Highly recommend this author and her books.

I love Celia Kyle's Ujal and Preor books, so I thought I would give this one a try.

I really liked this book. Even though Zyriq starts out as a guy going for a hook-up with a favorite bedmate, once he realized that Baila was pregnant with his child, he went into super-protective mate mode and became a much better character. Baila was OK, a little too independent and putting up a lot of resistance to Zyriq's every effort to care for her. Pach was the best evolved character in the book, he went from zero to hero and I truly enjoyed his metamorphosis. Zyriq's overconfidence in his position does put Baila in a bad situation but her new "puppy" comes to her rescue and gives the book that touch of intrigue that keeps a book from being bland.

The only thing keeping me from giving this story 5 stars is that it ends rather abruptly and doesn't even let us know what happens with the baby or on Morea. A small epilogue would have pulled a 5 star rating from me easily, as I really did enjoy the story.

Baila got pregnant after a one-night stand with a purple alien, the problem is (other than her huge purple belly) is that she got fired (because of said huge purple belly) and is now on the brink of having to live in the streets. That's when the baby's daddy shows up and kidnaps her to be with him as his Bonded.

This was weird as fuck but at the same time not that weird. Baila lives in a space station and works at a "pretty waiters" restaurant, she has to deal with being a soon-to-be solo mother without a job and a house when she stumbles on Zyriq (the weirdest name I've ever read and I read way too many alien books to be shocked with weird-ass names), he carries her to his ship and try to treat her in the medical ward. That's when shit goes down, I didn't feel like their relationship developed that much but at the same time it was not lacking, it didn't have anything *more*.

I hate pregnancy-trope and I get way Baila was kinda hopeless during the 115 pages but she could have done something other than curl up in a ball and yell to baby's daddy to help her. I was annoyed at some points with her lack of action and hopelessness. For example spoilers ahead I did not have much sympathy for Baila, she annoyed me and Zyriq was flat as a pancake, I know nothing about him.

So, yeah, that was it. 2 stars is as good a rating as any.

Note: I'll not read the others, or I suppose I won't, who knows...

The long and short of it...

The Purple Alien Prince's Pregnant Captive is a very long title for a very short novella. Short, but also very hot and very sweet. Zyriq is as big, purple and sexy as all alien warriors should be. In addition, he's loving, honest, and totally committed to his woman. He'd better be - she's carrying his baby! But he's the Crown Prince of his people, and not all of them are enamored of a human princess and a future Crown Prince who's a Morean/human half-breed. Worse - protecting the feisty, independent Baila is a job he's forced to delegate, since being the War Captain/Crown Prince is a full-time, high pressure gig. Love can be a test of loyalty, and Zyriq is tested to the max before it all comes to HFN. In fact, the only knock I have against this book is that the ending is too abrupt and premature. An epilogue would cushion the panic stop, and add to the enjoyment - but I can't deny that I really enjoyed this little quickie.

Zyriq and Baila

Zariq was on a space station two months ago and met a waitress named Baila. Now he is heading back there and all he can think about is being with Baila again. He is also the First Son of the King of Morea.
Baila doesn't sleep around but had a glorious week with a purple alian named .Zariq and now she is pregnant. He stomach changed color and is purple and huge. Her employer is during her because of her pregnancy. She will lose her room on the space station if she doesn't have a job.
When Zariq and Baila run into each other he finds out about the baby and later kidnaps her and takes her to his ship.
There is some Morean who dislike the idea of the First Son being with a human. Can they make things work? Or are they too different?
This is a nice short story. There were a few things that didn't get answered like how long would she be pregnant. But overall the story was entertaining and enjoyable. I would recommend this story.
