As you would expect, some essays are better than others.
Some authors I (personally) agree with more so, and some I find easier to read and understand.
There is a wide variety of views, styles and quality. Brilliant, essentially there is something here for everyone studying the topic and visual perspective.
I feel it did miss some points, but the subject matter is no small thing, to be fair, and it is composed of essay's, not dissertations 😛
Also, published 1992.
All in all, you still won't find much better subject comprehensive, published today.
