The Fantastic Four are finally settling into their new normal...but something very ABNORMAL is happening outside their farmhouse. Sue and Alicia get to spend some quality time together in town, but when they return, everything is not how they left it... ...and a very different Fantastic Four are left in their place! It's Sue and Alicia versus the world - and the start of a special two-part story!
I like that Ryan North isn’t just giving us an X-Files style episodic format for this book, but he’s also varying the focus characters from issue to issue. At this point, I’m getting excited to see who’s gonna team up to solve whatever hijinks next.
This story is actually a two-parter, but at least Sue and Alicia discovered the perpetrator behind the disappearance of the town people, which include Reed and Ben, in this issue. Now, they need to find a way to restore things the way they were, and they have the next issue for that.
After the last issue, the plot cools down and does not conclude in this issue. At least it reveals the villian, who seems pretty old school evil, but let's see if that's true with issue 9.
