I've loved these books for years. I get a new one as a Christmas gift from my wife and take the year to read it (with many other books mixed in). This one was another great entry. I will continue my annual tradition with no end in sight.
I always enjoy Uncle John's books, and the first half of this one was no exception. Then I spotted two conflicting name origin factoids in close succession. Annoyance over what I see as an error detracted from my enjoyment of the trivia book all the way until I got to page 393, when the writers really reached a hot streak. "High-Tech Underwear", "Fakers!", "What the Frak?", "Baseball Bizarre", and "It's a Weird, Weird World" made a very strong finish, and I got over it. Thanks, Bathroom Readers' Institute, for hours of relaxation and entertainment.
It felt like more longer stories than past issues. There is more world history and more world news in this edition. There are the usual lists and sayings.
The origin of Annie Ann pretzels was memorable and there are places near me so I’m dropping those facts on everyone.
The usual quality fare from Uncle John. More facts, information, data, and knowledge than you can shake a stick at. The info is always fun and the writing is often funny. Good for bathroom reading or anywhere else reading for that matter.
Love this great Information and trivia I have been reading this series since the 1980's when it started and I've love everyone of them and this is no exception
