Rate this book
Her life's salvation turned out to be a betrothal to her biggest enemy…Katherine Morgan strikes a deal with the devil to save her father from the hangman's noose. Her end of the bargain is to marry by the King’s decree. Yet, her heart stops as she realizes that the highlander waiting for her down the aisle is no other than the brute Tor Leòideach.

The heir of her father’s biggest enemy and the very man who condemned him to death…

Tor loathes the prospect of marrying Katherine after his kin were killed by her family. But as they get closer, Tor wonders if his hatred for her father is strong enough to keep his hands off her.

And even more; to honor his vow and control his heart…

Katherine walks on thin ice as she struggles to keep up her end of the bargain. And each lie brings her closer to drowning in her own deceits. That is, if she doesn't perish in the flames of her desire for Tor first…

Absolutely fantastic!

This book rocks and I loved it! It’s back to the Orkney islands for the tale of Tor and Katherine. He is the younger brother of Dunn and she is the daughter of Alistair Morgan. Enemies, they are forced to wed by the King’s edict. Katherine hides a secret about her part in the marriage and vows to keep it that way for as long as she can. The two start out vowing to make it a marriage in name only. As always, I love the way their relationship changes and grows as the story unfolds. There is danger afoot as always and there are truths to be learned that will shock them all. Katherine will learn the truth of Alistair’s misdeeds and an old memory will have new meaning. In the end, Katherine finds that her true family lies on the island of Orkney and with her new sister in law, Katarina, the woman she sent in her place to marry Dunn.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Katherine Morgan ended up living her life in a nunnery after her mother tried to drown her. Her father Laird Alister Morgan had saved her life and she was beholden to him. Originally the king had ordered Laird Dunn Leoideach to marry Katherine to secure peace between the two clans. When Alister switched Katherine with Katarina Buckland a Romani woman, the king commanded Tor, the lairds brother, to marry Katherine. After their marriage, someone tried to kill the group on their way back to Orkney island. Tor vows to keep Katherine safe but will he lose his heart in the process? A wonderful story with a happy ever after ending and a surprise twist!

Enemies to Lovers
Forced to marry by decree of The King, Tor Brother of Laird Dunn Leoideach and Lady Katherine Morgan, daughter of the evil Laird Alistair Morgan have no choice but to do so.
Each pushed into this marriage for their own reasons, neither can back out.
I really enjoyed this story which follows on perfectly with book 1.
Action, secrets, betrayal, forgiveness and love, along with likeable characters and a great storyline made this an excellent read.
Will Adamina have her own story next?

Family secrets.

Tor has been ordered by the king to marry Katherine Morgan the daughter of his clan’s worst enemy. Neither of them want to marry the other but it is unavoidable and the king will be witness to the wedding to make sure it happens. Their clans have been fighting for years. Katherine’s father is an evil and violent man and is responsible many deaths in Tor’s family. But there is another secret that Katherine holds that may make it impossible for there to be anything between her and Tor.

Tor and Katherine are enemies, what will become of them?

There was not a thing to dislike unless you count the book ending. That upset me, finishing up the book. I love reading books that have so much going on and with such a storyline as in this here book. You are totally missin out if you bypass this book. Hot, Steamy, and so much mystery. Ready set READ! If not it’s your loss!

Good historical love story

I have enjoyed this book. Katherine and Tor had a lot of problems to work out but her father wasn’t who she thought he was. But Tor was a good support for her.

Married to her Highland Foe

Married to her Highland For is Katherine and God's story to love. Read both books in this series, enjoying both. Hoping there is a Third? Dunn and Tor's sister?

Soooo many errors, both punctuation and weird word choices. Once again, the story seems painfully drawn out in the mistaken impression this makes the romance a “slow burn” when it’s simply frustrating.

Very Good Read,

I have to say I really enjoyed Tor's much more than Dunn's, there was much more mystery, suspense, humor and I do love how the plot continues with this family. So again a very good read point forward to the next story in the" Leoideach" family saga.

Finding her true identity

Katherine and Tor had to go through some rather life changing happenings to finally find peace. What she thought she knew was all a lie. Loved the way Shona wrote this book. Great series

loved the twist

Really enjoyed Tor respecting Katherine in their unconventional marriage and not forcing himself on her. He came across as a protector and I loved it.
