I’m a slave. Nothing more than property. The very thing I never wanted to be, and the very reason I ran away from my pack. Seems like fate has a cruel sense of humor. Being enslaved in a harem, even a billionaire’s, is no life at all. ‘Ritchie’s Rainbow’, they call us. Each of us are named and dressed in a different color. Red, Blue, Jade, Gray, Pink, Yellow and Indigo. I’ve been called Red for so long, I can barely remember my real name. A vampire, siren, fey, demon, vessel, kelpie and me, a wolf shifter. All imprisoned for the pleasure of a wealthy human, to use for himself and to lend to his friends. I take care of the other boys the best I can, they are brothers to me and it’s in my omega nature to be nurturing. But it is hard when we are all suffering so much. But Brodie, the new healer, seems kind under his gruff exterior. I see something in his eyes. Something that gives me hope. I think he might just be here to save us all. But I don't think falling for me is part of the plan. Am I going to ruin everything? Or will I finally find freedom? Finally become unfettered? Delve into Unfettered Omega to find hurt/comfort in a guard/prisoner secret romance. Unfettered Omega is an MM romance. It is the first book in a new series about seven paranormal boys imprisoned in a billionaire’s harem. Each book follows a different MM pair as we discover if once they find freedom, can they find love? This book introduces all the paranormal boys, but the love story is between two characters. I love characters who are battered and broken by life, who through the course of finding love, discover they are strong. Despite everything, because of everything, I will always believe that love conquers all.

It's kind of a effed up book. Even the "good guy" is not that good, without a doubt better than the bad guy. This was a good series, I honestly liked all the books so far.
I really enjoyed the story. Supposedly they had cameras all around the house, so I don’t know how they got away with sneaking into each other’s rooms and you know, having a relationship in secret. I mean, I’m happy it happened like that but at the same time I’m doubting that it could had happened with all those supposed cameras everywhere and audio, his cover would had been blown long ago.
Step into the world of harem boys, enslaved, all for the joy of one of the richest men on earth. There are seven slaves, all dressed in the color of their names, Red, Yellow, Pink, Jade, Blue, Grey, and Indigo. All are supernatural creatures. Somehow this rich man Mr. Smithson, gathered a vampire, a wolf shifter, a kelpie, a fey, a siren, an incubus, and a vessel, a collection of the most beautiful version of its kind.
Brodie is a healer, he will work for the group of sex slaves. He even has access and permission to f them all the time, except of course when they are entertaining the men at the orgies or private in their rooms. Mr. Smithson has many visitors and parties. Brodie is mesmerized by Red, the most beautiful man his eyes ever beholds. It’s mutual. Brodie is in trouble, he has to act like a grumpy man, but in reality, he’s a softie.
While the seven do live in wealth and luxury, they are kept and can’t escape. What happens behind closed doors is out of this world, literally and figuratively. The men Smithson brings in are the cruelest. A lot of healing needs to be done.
As the story revolves we understand Brodie is on a mission. It was quite an entertaining story, I loved the diversity of creatures, and I loved their characteristics. The story was smartly developed, and wonderfully written, along the way there are clever details to perceive. The romance was sweet, a bit on the low side, but fitting in the story. I hope there will be coming more stories about these beautiful, intriguing guys!
This book is a contradiction of emotions as whilst it is sad and horrifying with what happens to these boys (mainly off page), it’s also steamy and beautiful.
I think this book may trigger some people as these boys are in a forced harem where they have to do what they’re told, but Brodie the healer is there with a mission to rescue them. Whilst also falling in love.
There are a variety of paranormal characters in this and I like that a lot. Sez is a very direct and to the point writer, so things happen at a quick pace which I do enjoy as you don’t have time to ponder. I think this is Sez’s steamiest book so far, especially that ass scene in the beginning 🍑😉
I love the premise of this book. Easily a 5* if executed right, however the writing is too shallow for me given the subject matter.
At no point did I feel emotionally attached to any of the characters, and so the terrible things that happen to them just don't impact like they should.
It felt like the author didn't want to make the story too dark, even though this should have been one of the darkest stories in the MM genre. I think that would have given it the added weight and depth that it's missing.
This book was very hard to read in some places so I encourage you to read the triggers list.
Brodie is hired by the Council to infiltrate the illegal operation of a sadistic millionnaire human. He meets Red who is part of the millionnaire’s harem of kidnapped supernatural boys.
I liked how instantly protective Brodie felt towards not only Red, but also the other boys. He tried his best to help them even though he had to make hard decisions at time.
This book was very insta-love and I would have liked to see more of their relationship development. I feel like their feelings grew very fast without really knowing the other on a deeper level.
I liked the book and will read the rest of the series because I need to know what happens to the other boys 🥰.
This is an intense story... With off page SA... Dubcon/Noncon situations...
I found this story sooo good!!! S. Rodman has come up with a cruel, cold, and unsavory world that is all created in one large penthouse... The characters are well developed and continue to grow as we read the story... Brodie and Red gave me the vibe of fated mates...But, in a bit of a dubious way... Yet, it builds in a way that keeps you engaged with the story...
I look forward to reading the other boys' stories...
MM HEA HAREM/DUB/NONCON/PARANORMAL HIGH ANGST STRICT TOP/BOTTOM 3.5 OUTTA 5 IN THE 🔥🔥🔥 DEPARTMENT
S. Rodman is a new author for me so I was not sure what to expect. I will be reading a few more just to be fair. Okay - interesting plot idea but flopped in the delivery. First issue is the writing moves from smooth to almost high school level and back again at random times. A bit off-putting. The next big issue for me is the entire story is very surface level aside from the sex, but even that was kind of skimmed. Things are mentioned like a code being used, but no where does it explain what the code is or how the recipient even was able to understand it. Even the information in the code is never mentioned!. Yet it was important. Character development is one dimensional and no real worldbuilding is done. Overall it was a bottom level 'okay' story.
It was ok. The author needs to check their grammar though. Note to author: it’s SHOULD’VE not SHOULD OF!!!! As in ‘should have’. How can you be an author and not know this??? I had trouble writing the ‘of’ because it kept autocorrecting it so I don’t understand how you didn’t know.
Brodie is a healer sent undercover to rescue a harem of paranormal s*x slaves. Red is the defacto leader of the Rainbow boys and as such he shoulders the responsibility for them, mainly by putting himself in harm's way in order to protect them. Brodie and Red have an instantaneous connection between them and it allows them to communicate secretly. Brodie has to be two people, himself and his alter persona in order to rescue the boys and it wrecks havoc between him and Red because he's warring with himself in private and having to be cruel in public. I can't wait to continue with the series because I desperately need all the boys HEA.
Oh wow!! This book is so emotionally charged, I need a lay down! I read this story in one sitting, couldn’t put it down.
Ritchie’s Rainbows, an enslaved harem collected and kept captive by a millionaire who likes to share. The story focuses on Red, a werewolf shifter and the Red in the rainbow. He has appointed himself the protector of the other 6. A healer moves into the penthouse the beings are being held captive in. Will he he able to help save the rainbow?
This story had my emotions bouncing all over the place. I couldn't help but feel for all of the boys and be mad at all they endured. Then there was also hope and happiness for all the possibilities that might come for them. I enjoyed it all and recommend it.
Unfettered Omega was a sweet and kind of sad story. If you like the hurt/comfort trope, you’ll might like this. But good lord, this author needs a proofreader. The use of commas and apostrophes were often grammatically incorrect. This is really hard for me to look past. For instance, the author wrote “kelpie’s” and “vessel’s” as plural forms, not possessive, instead of “kelpies” and “vessels.” The commas were thrown in willy-nilly: “He tasted so sweet and the sensation of his soft lips against my own, had lit fireworks off in my mind.” Is this a British English thing? I take it back if it is, but even outside of this there were errors. Almost DNF because of this but now I’m stupidly invested in the other boys. Hopefully the next books have better grammar.
This author is hit or miss for me. This one was very surface level and insta-lovey. Tension might have been built by slowly revealing the secret mission, but with everyone’s motives explained in their own heads, there was no real conflict in this book. Rape and abuse used as window dressing. Everything randomly solved at the end.
It was good, there were some parts that didn't make sense. Like Broodie tried for a long time to seem cold and uncaring but then he's having a romantic picnic. Like how was he not caught.
This book is a wild ride, with Rodman's signature brand of dark mixed in with the hopeful light for the end, even though it was hard to see at times in this one.
Brodie is an undercover agent for the paranormal Council, and his current job is to infiltrate a billionaire's harem of paranormal men. He has a job as a healer and he needs to scope out the location, the security, the magical defenses, and find a way for the Council to get in and get the men out. All the while Brodie can be a healer, but he needs to act like the type of man who would have no problem with seven men being enslaved for sex. Brodie has been undercover for years but when this job has him confused and concerned. At first the boys are odd, seeming okay to be there, not distressed or phased, simply going along as they have to. But as he sees all that they have to deal with, all that they can be subjected to, Brodie is more and more horrified, and more determined than ever to free them.
Red puts on a brave face to protect the other boys of the harem but it has been a rough go and he holds a secret guilt about the whole things. When the new healer comes in Red suspects the man may be there to help them. Red finds himself falling for the other man, but the constant hot and cold of caring and abuse has him wondering if he is finally cracking under the pressure. Red has to decide whether to trust the man who could be his downfall, or give up with what life has handed him.
While this story doesn't focus on the dark there are definitely dark parts. With it being a harem of men that are confined and forced to do the sexual bidding of anyone who goes to the penthouse, it certainly has some major dark things going on. The focus is more on the care after and trying to get them all out of there. The build of Red and Brodie's relationship is difficult because Brodie has to act like an abuser, which at times almost crosses the line into that. It is a hard line to walk and it troubles both men, despite it being what needs to be done to hope for being saved. With lives on the line it certainly leads to a rather dramatic climax but there is hope in this book that is never crushed. As things change future stories promise to be lighter, and I look forward to seeing what will happen to these previous harem boys.
This book is a fabulous introduction to the series. Red is one of seven omegas being held in captive in the harem of a billionaire. Brodie is hired as the resident healer. Brodie also happens to be undercover in an attempt to rescue the boys.
Can I just say that Red is seriously swoony with his protective and loving nature. He’s willing to do anything to save his fellow omegas from being used, if he can. If not, he’s right there to comfort them when the encounters are over. I thoroughly enjoyed being in his head when he was thinking about Brodie. Having his happy ending become reality had me a bit teary and I’m not ashamed at all to say so.
Brodie makes himself into a reliable presence that the omegas can come to when they need help or when someone is injured. He feels terrible for the deception he’s forced into and hopes that Red won’t hate him for the things he has to do sometimes to keep his undercover persona intact. It was wonderful to see him with Red. They had a connection from the first time they met, but this is no instalove story. They definitely have some hurdles before that HEA, but the journey is pretty good.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes omegaverse, protective omegas, caring undercover healers, and the quest to save omegas in captivity.
I read this book in one sitting. It had my attention from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down. The story's a bit dark, but it was a welcome change from all the lighthearted books I've been reading lately.
Red was awesome. He feels responsible for all the boys, and he took on a major caretaking role with them. I do think his personality really clashed with how he met Brodie in the beginning of the book though. All of his other actions say he would never try to run away by himself. Brodie does a pretty awful job of playing the bad guy. It seemed like several of the boys figured him out pretty quickly. I liked how quickly he got attached to Red, but he also worked hard to make sure the other boys were as safe and cared for as possible in their situation.
I wish we would have gotten more background/world building. We just got dropped in the story and there wasn't much info beyond the immediate plot and characters. There were hits that most humans didn't know about paranormals. It was enough to tease but I would have loved more.
I am interested to see how this series plays out. They boys have been rescued, but it seems like they are having issues adjusting, some more than others. I can't wait to read more of their stories and hopefully see more of Red and Brodie too!
I think I found a new author who writes exactly what I need and crave: a great and emotional hurt/comfort series. Yep. Who was gatekeeping S. Rodman? Huh?! Well, I will indulge myself now, thank you very much.
I'm glad this is an omegaverse without mpreg, and with sex slaves, found family, hurt/comfort galore, lots of sad and hurt boys, and lots of affection.
I adored the MCs. Some parts are dark, with some dub-con, non-con punishment, and other intense scenes, but I devoured it all. I'm a sucker for captive/captor MM romances, and this one delivered. There are tons of feels, hesitancy, and fear to open up, but not for long.
I was impressed with how the author made the healer/omega pairing work, even without the usual alpha physiology. I mean, the fisting scene was so hot.
I read this in a day and I'm already halfway through the next book.
Bonus epilogue: (from the author's newsletter link) So yeah, this was delicious. Red's heat and the toys? Yum. Short and filthy.
Is the new healer here to help or is he just another predator? First book in series (Unfettered). Paranormal. Instalove. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings. The new healer for a billionaire's harem, Brodie has a job to do, but the abuse of the imprisoned supernatural men in the group is horrifying. When Brodie finds himself attracted to the wolf shifter named Red it makes his job even harder, he can’t stop his feelings but has to stay on task or risk the safety of everyone in the harem, including Red. There are tough parts of this story, and a set of men that have forged a bond together from their mutual suffering. A familiarity with Rodman’s previous books is helpful as this story takes place in a previously established supernatural universe, but it’s not necessary to enjoy the story. Brodie and Red connect instantly and it’s not purely physical attraction as they are both protectors and find comfort and kindness with each other. Rodman knows how to write a quick story with plenty of emotion and steam for an entertaining book and this first entry into a new series does not disappoint. 4.5 rounded up
A new healer arrived and Red can't help wondering if he is there to rescue them or use them. ‘Ritchie’s Rainbow’, is a billionaire's harem of supernatural sex slaves. This was a good start to the series and also a great story covering the relationship between Red and Brodie. Richie really was a bad man so it was great to see him to free them all. A lot of thoughts and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
I just loved, loved this first book, and im so looking forward to reading the next in this series. S. Rodman has really written a beautiful and sad story. The boys are slaves and part of a harem, their master calls them his rainbow, and each of the boys well let just say that theres something special about them. However this first book is Reds story and it truelly is a delight to read, but also i felt for each of the boys as well. Brodie, a human has got a job as a doctor and looking after the harem of boys. His first encounter with Red was when he was trying to escape and landed in Brodies arms. The connection between them both was something they coudnt deny. However Brodie is there to try and get the boys out but that is a secret he cant tell anyone. Slowly he gets to know the boys and earns their trust, but seeing how they are treated he cant just sit by and do nothing.
Honestly for me this really is a must read book, and i reccommond it especially if you love reading m/m books
Ok wow. This book is good. Please be aware of possible triggers. This book is dark and includes sexual and physical abuse but it doesn’t happen on the page. You just know it is happening. Smithson is a very sick and twisted man. Brodie has come to his rainbow harem but not just as the healer. He is on a mission. But playing the part on this one makes him sick to his stomach. Red and the other “boys” are actually slaves and many of them have given up on life. These characters really got to me. These poor colors of the rainbow deserve some happiness. I have no idea if the author plans to write any more in this series but I would love to see more about them. I was so quickly drawn into their plight that I finished the book before I even realized it. Red and Brodie have some crazy chemistry but keeping up appearances is a tough thing to do in their situation. I really did like this one but I am a fan of S Rodman’s brand of dark stories.
I had originally picked this up because the plot sounded very fun. Self-indulgent, VERY hurt/comfort, maybe a little sad, with the likelihood of fluff later on... I can't lie, I'm totally into all of those things, and yeah, alright, it had most of those things.
But it also was *really* uncomfortable to read in several spots, particularly surrounding the treatment and the way Yellow/Lello is written. As soon as he was described to be "act like a toddler", followed by, predictably, the character coming in and acting like a toddler, I knew I was likely not going to be able to get over that. The character is supposed to be naive, innocent, and sweet - which I get. But all of these things can be demonstrated without infantilizing them.
It felt gross. Maybe it was supposed to.
The execution didn't hit the mark for me, even with the main pair, who lacked what felt like any genuine chemistry beyond the desperacy of Red to be out of his current situation.
Red & Brodie had me in a choke hold. I consumed this all in one sitting. My heart broke for all 7 of these beautiful boys and I can't wait to read their well deserved HEA. The premise for this book was so interesting. I can definitely see this happening in the real world if paranormals were to exist.
I found a new favorite author - S. Rodman ♥
The topics discussed in this book are very heavy, check your triggers prior to reading.
Tropes: • Human x Red Wolf Omega (no omegaverse/Mpreg) • Sex Slave (Harem) • Found Family • Hurt/Comfort • Forced Proximity • Size Difference • HEA
When I first started this series, I read it out of order. Thankfully, I caught on pretty quickly, but I knew I needed to go back and see how it all began. So, I jumped into book one and I’m so glad I did! Right from the start, I loved that there was a Character List. With so many different paranormal boys, having that reference was incredibly helpful to keep track of everyone. This first book, however, was absolutely heartbreaking. The Boys had been taken and were being kept for Richie to do whatever he pleased which was gut-wrenching to read. Brodie, the healer, was determined to save them. To do so, he had to enter the Penthouse undercover, hiding his emotions, acting mean, and mistreating the boys to avoid suspicion. But Red saw through him from the beginning and knew Brodie was one of the good guys. Every book in this series has been a fantastic read, and I’m really happy I went back to the start. It made the whole series even more impactful!
Just received and read this and the bonus epilogue as well in on fell swoop. It grabbed my attention from the word go. The storyline is excellent; the suspense is gripping and the characters are engaging. I couldn’t put it down. The only problem I foresee is the wait for the next book in the series as the author asked us to vote on which of the boys we wanted to read about next. That indicates a bit of a delay for book two. The book was complete in itself however with no cliffhanger so it’s only a matter of patience nothing else. The other thing you should be aware of is the boys are captives of an amoral billionaire so some may find parts to of the storyline contain triggers. Please check that out first. My advice of course is to read it. Now I’m going to get something to eat and drink as I was to busy reading to do so previously. Lol.
“You sleep in the closet?” Brodie’s voice sounds horrified. I glance down at the pilfered cushions and blankets that line the floor underneath the clothes rail. My cheeks feel like they are on fire. How could I have forgotten that he would see it if I opened the door? “I… I don’t like to sleep where I work,” I try to say casually. I don’t know if I have pulled it off. Behind me the huge bed festooned in bright red silk sheets seems to glower at me. Taunting and mocking and disgruntled at my rejection. Brodie clears his throat. “That makes sense.”
Brodie is secretly attempting to save Ritchie’s Rainbow boys from their fates as sx slaves to the rich and famous. What he does not expect is to fall for Red, while acting as the healer of the group.
S. Rodman begins a new and unique MM paranormal series with Unfettered Omega. As a wolf shifter omega, Red feels he is responsible for the capture of each of his uniquely captive paranormal brothers, so willingly complies with his owner, to protect the group.
There is steam and a lot of heartfelt emotions in book 1 of the Found and Freed series. i can’t wait to see if Grey, Blue, Lello, Pink, Jade or Ned’s book will be next!
