Jennifer Malone Wright is best known for her best selling novella series, The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter. Other works include the follow up to The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter series called The Arcadia Falls Chronicles, The Graveyard Guardians series and her full length vampire novel called Savior (A Higher Collective Novel).

She resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children where she practices preparing for the zombie apocalypse. Just kidding!

But seriously, between the craziness of taking care of her children, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on her beloved fiction or chatting with her equally crazy friends.

This is not a typical vampire story. It is full of new twists, new takes on supernatural beings and an interesting storyline. Vampires, angels, dark angels, witches, warlocks and let’s not forget, a baby! Love all those! The author wove these characters together beautifully.
It starts with Alex, a telepathic vampire who believes himself cursed but has a strong faith in God. Cliché I know. He asks for something to live for in his damned existence and ever haunting past. He is given the baby Jaiden, a baby abandoned like trash, to care for and protect at all costs. Jaiden is important to the future and is a powerful witch but needs him for love and safety. Who better than Alex? Along with Isabella, Jaiden’s nanny (also a powerful witch) and the help of the other members of the Great Council charged with keeping the balance of powers on earth, they fight Malcom and Levine, conniving and evil vampires bent on using Jaiden for their own advantages.
The story was interesting, a bit drawn out in the first half with introductions to the characters and tangent story lines that seemed unneeded, like Isabella’s tragic family. The chorus of characters seemed quite interesting but their roles did not seem important until later. Alex’s struggle to accept his responsibility for Jaiden, his constant distaste of his own existence and his immediate attraction to Isabella took a large portion of the first half. All which cause him great conflict along with the ghosts of his past constantly haunting him. The second half more than hooked me right back in. The action, suspense and blood pounding fight scenes were enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. Definitely a must read with an ending that keeps you wanting more. My type of read. Highly recommended!

I've really enjoyed reading The Birth of Jaiden by debut author, Jennifer Malone Wright. She did a spectacular job on this book. From the moment you begin to read it, you won't be able to put it down.
Most of the vampire-paranormal books I've read are trite and the characters stereotypical, but this is not your ordinary book. Immediately, you're introduced to Alexander Lucas. A one-hundred year old vampire whose only wish is to have something or someone worth "living" for. He's unlike any other vampire I've read about before, in that he has a deep rooted conviction and relationship with God that goes beyond his damned life as a vampire.
In answer to his prayers, God leads him to a child named Jaiden, a baby girl with the power to destroy the world. Finally, Alexander has someone to live for and protect. And with the help of The Great Council, he will stop at nothing, to keep her safe and away from his arch enemy Malcolm... This book is action packed and has everything a paranormal fiction fan can hope for, vampires, witches, angels, slayers, etc...I highly recommend this book.

Alex is a 100 year old vampire suffering from depression. He lost his family in Russia in a fire and was turned against his will. He feels like his soul is damned even though he has a guardian angel who also happens to be his best friend. He goes to church every night praying for a sign from God to give him a purpose. What he gets though is not what he expected. He gets a very powerful natural born witch baby who has the power to destroy the world if she has the wrong people get her. Charged with becoming a father to a human baby has Alex worried. He gets help from another powerful witch named Isabelle who has lived a hard life. Alex tries to keep his distance from both baby Jaiden and Isabelle but he soon falls in love with both and will fight at all costs against his enemies to keep both protected.

The Birth of Jaiden grabbed me from the start. I couldn’t put it down. I am looking forward to reading more books from Jennifer Malone Wright and seeing where Alex, Jaiden, and Isabelle go next.

Movie deal say what? I'd LOVE to see this on the big screen! <3

I can not recommend this book enough!

I have read this book several times now since I own the original "The Birth of Jaiden" in print (& I was one of the lucky few to beta read Savior before the release) yet the end continues to play my heartstrings like a fiddle shocking me as I realize what just happened!
These characters feel like family now, & seeing them fall into their destinies is beyond awesome! I truly love how Jennifer always pulls me so far into her stories that I feel like I'm in there with them through everything: front row seats to the magic, the drama, the searching, the battles, & the relationship building/mending. Of course I've fallen for the vamp!
Where are the movie producers when we need them? I'd love to see this on the big screen!

If you are on search of an action packed paranormal treat full of magical characters who are capable of MUCH more than we could imagine then this book is definitely for you!! Enjoy!!!!

I am so thankful I got a chance to read/review this book!! Thank you.

I have been waiting to read this book since I started to read all of Jennifer's books, but at the time it was being redone and off the market. BUT so happy to finally be able to read it and soooo worth the wait too!!!

I loved every part of this book....The good, the bad, and the ugly. LOL Alex has such a strong main character. He may hate his life, and what he is....But you can literally feel the goodness in him with every word in this story. I was glad to see him open up when he gets an unsuspected miracle dropped in on him. All the characters in this book are very strong and looking forward to learning more about them. I felt the loss, and the happiness in the times it was needed, and I love that about Jennifer's books. If I can feel the character in my heart and mind I love it!! And this book did just that. I recommend this to everyone!!!!!!

*Warning: possible spoilers ahead.*

This book by debut author Jennifer Malone Wright was an interesting read as it seemed to combine all the best and worst of what we love about the paranormal. This book has almost everything: Guardian Angels, Fallen Angels, reformed Vampire, non-reformed Vampires, good Witches, evil Witches, Slayers, Magicians….well, you get the idea. I like the tormented main character, Alex. You don’t often read about a one-hundred year old vampire that believes God still have a plan for him. He tries to do good with his life, but still feels remorse and guilt over the necessities his vampire existence require to sustain him. He misses his human life and family, and is easy to perceive as a gentle soul. Don’t be fooled. Alex can be as vicious as the next vampire when something or someone he cares about is threatened, and when Danielle, Alex’s Guardian Angel, drops a human baby in his life and tells him it’s God’s plan that he raise this child as his own? Well, let’s just say that Alex goes into overdrive to keep her safe, even before he admits that he loves this little girl and soon thereafter her caretaker.

The story is full of various plots from the mystery of baby Jaiden, Alex’s quest to see the sunlight again, to Malcom’s nefarious plans for world domination, and let’s not even go into that evil wife of his. The books is also an add mix of paranormal, romance, and even a bit of graphic scenery thrown in. I wasn’t sure if the author was just trying to find which theme suits her best or if there are too many characters trying to be introduced all at once that it makes it harder to pin down on general theme to stay consistent throughout. For instance: Alex is protective – that has been established. However, when Isabella (quickly becoming one of the most overused names in fiction), Jaiden’s new caretaker for the daylight hours when Alex needs to sleep, encounters a family emergency we see a much darker side to Alex. The fact that Isabella’s younger sister was brutally attacked by three men wasn’t actually that graphic for me. The details of her attack were left more for the reader to imagine than to actually read. Alex’s revenge on them? Details galore including every delicious drop of blood that Alex took from them before they died. And honestly, the entire side plot of the living conditions and plight of Isabella’s siblings was a weird left turn for me that I wasn’t expecting. It seemed a bit out of nowhere. There were moments where the dialogue seemed to come from a different writer as well. At times the language, grammar and overall prose felt more sophisticated than others, and I don’t know if that was just the author trying to give each character a different voice or if even she is maybe a little confused as to where she wants this book to be categorized.

I thought the humor and banter in the book was fun to read, and I also enjoyed some of the teasing and innuendo between characters. I think there was a lot of information crammed into this book in order to whet the appetite more and to establish enough familiarity for future books. Clearly, the story is not over.

Overall I would give this book 3 out of 5 moons, because while I think the potential is there it still needs to work to find it’s groove.

I received a smashwords copy of this book in return for an honest review. I never was able to read this book when it was called The Birth of Jaiden and when I got my copy of Savior, I felt like beating myself of the head repeatedly for not reading it before this. So much went on and characters were so mind blowing real and I felt like I was a part of the story from beginning to end. I was in a trance and just felt like I was watching everything happen in my head like a movie, that is how real I felt the story was. Paranormal beings who were able to more things than I could ever dream of imagining and the action, the relationships, the love that poured out of this book was just phenomenal and so addicting. I showed every emotion possible throughout this entire book. I feel like I am now a part of this remarkable and magical family and that they will always have a place in my heart. I never thought that I would catch myself saying this, but this book would make for an awesome movie. This a RECOMMENDED MUST story that will hook you from beginning to end and keep you daydreaming long after the story ends. Thank you, Jennifer Malone Wright, for this incredible dream that is living live and well in my heart and soul. I am giving this book 10+*s.

How can you tell this is a great book???? Well, I thoroughly enjoyed it despite not being a huge fan of witches, slayers, fairies and such. I also have a love/hate relationship with vampires, but absolutely loved the main character here - Alex - the main vampire in this book! For me the important thing is characters that are real and have deep motivations, rather than your average 'I'm a bitter sexy hungry vampire', or 'poor me' vampire. Alex has had a motivation since he was alive and that continues on even into his afterlife existence. his back story is fascinating and I found myself wanting to know more about him when he was just a man. This story builds up nicely with the addition of a cast of side characters that have you laughing and at times shaking your head. Jennifer Wright built a world that is similar yet holds secrets that are right in front of out eyes. I enjoyed the nice touch with Alex in the casinos-made him feel so real. Again this author developed this suspenseful story with utmost skill and talent. The description of the places, the faces and the emotions, is what sets this book apart. I even shed a few tears at one part (sniff sniff)Highly recommended!!!!

Where to begin; I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I had to go back and re-read the last several chapters as I blew through them in an effort to see how it ended, what becomes of Jaiden??

This is not your typical vampire story. It is full of new twists, new takes on supernatural beings and an interesting storyline. Vampires, angels, dark angels, witches, warlocks, slayers and let's not forget, baby Jaiden! Alex an oh so very old vampire, with a conscience and a guardian angel, stumbles upon a baby in a dumpster. His already not so normal world is turned upside down. You see Alex prays nightly, prays to god to give him purpose, is Jaiden his purpose?

The story starts out a bit slow as you get to know the characters but, once it gets going hang on cause it’s gonna be a bumpy ride! There’s a little bit of everything in this book… friendship, trust, betrayal, the struggle between right and wrong and (oh yes) LOVE! Jennifer only hints toward the relationship between Alex and Isabella (the nanny/witch) so I cannot wait for the continuation in this series… I’m so excited to watch Alex and Isabella grow and what challenges they will face protecting and nurturing Jaiden.

I read the original book, 'The Birth of Jaiden.' At the time, I admit that I didn't like it as much as TVHD, but I was still intrigued. The concept of a Christian vampire who still prays to God for forgiveness for what he has done was something new and different that I really liked. I liked the chemistry between Alex and Isabella. I fell in love with Jaiden. Even as a baby, she has a pull about her. Great things are going to happen in the future!

I was fortunate to receive a Beta copy of 'Savior,' which is TBJ reimagined and updated. I know that not significant amounts have changed, but somehow I liked it so much better this time around. I can't really put my finger on what changed for me. I think Alex's voice comes through more, for one thing. Or, maybe it is just that I have developed more of a love for paranormal novels since I started with Jennifer's earlier work.

This is a good choice for anyone who loves to read about vampires, but is looking for a different voice and twist in the main character. I look forward to reading more in this series, and hopefully soon! I have been waiting for a follow-up since I finished the original book so long ago!

I don’t think that I have ever struggled with a review as much as I am with this one! Ahhhh!!! I can’t even decide how I feel about The Birth of Jaiden! Or even how I would rate it!!

OK...I've decided! I actually REALLY liked this book, Jennifer has created an amazing fantasy novel (a guilty pleasure...shhh, don't tell anyone LOL). The writing was a little choppy but the story kept me entertained enough to not let it bother me. While reading there was never a time that I wanted to put the book down (unless my obligations required me...boo! for obligations) or I never felt like there was unnecessary detail.

I do want to say that this book is unlike any other book that I have read. First, the storyline and content of this book were completely unexpected! Second, I normally read YA books and the reason I do is because the majority of Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance books that are considered adult these days would, in my mind, be categorized as Erotica novels. I’m not a fan of Erotica books. This book is not for a young adult audience, but it is not because it has detailed sex scenes.

Do you like True Blood? Then you would probably like this book. I read the first book and then half of the second book of the Sookie Stackhouse series, and those books were a little boring to me. But the True Blood TV series was totally not boring! Based on what I did read in Sookie Stackhouse, I don’t remember the brutal parts as being very vivid or graphic, UNLIKE the TV series. So when I say do you like True Blood, I am not asking if you like Sookie Stackhouse!

Basically, what I am getting at here is that, for me, The Birth of Jaiden has some pretty horrific scenes. Normally, when I read a book that has anything that disturbs me mentally, I just CANNOT handle it. But, for some reason I don’t have that problem with this book. For example, I got to a scene in the book where 3 men hurt a girl, and then Alex goes looking for the men. When he finds the men, they are obviously goners and he “sees” what they did to the girl while he is sucking one of the men dry of all his blood. When the description comes, I winced thinking, “Oh, no! I don’t think this book is going to work.” But then it ended up not disturbing me as much as I thought it might. I’m not sure if that’s because Jennifer Malone-Wright refrained from including major graphic details, leaving those details to the imagination of the reader, or because of some other reason that I can’t put my finger on!

I was talking to a co-worker about my conflictions, and she asked me, “If the scenes that are horrific were left out, would you like the book more?” And that really got me thinking! I said, “No, because I think those scenes actually made the book even better.” It is truly bizarre that I feel this way, but I don’t want Jennifer Malone-Wright to change them!

Jennifer also does a really nice job developing her characters. Each character is developed more fully as the story unfolds, and Jennifer includes the story of the character’s past life at just the right time and in just the right place. Primarily, the story follows the main character, Alex, but Jennifer does really well changing scenes to other character’s points-of-view at just the right time to keep you entertained and informed, and to keep the story flowing.

In the book, everyone in The Great Council was concerned about Malcolm and worried about the destruction that he might cause. But I kept thinking, “He isn’t the problem, the real whack job of the story is his twisted, freaky wife!” It really disturbs me to think that Levine (Malcolm’s wife) is probably one of my favorite characters. Her character is so evil (on a level that I could never imagine) that I just seem to have a hard time not thinking about her whenever I think about this book!

Another fave character of mine is Deanna. When her character is introduced, I saw her as a timid, quiet character who, later in the story, really surprises me. She comes forward with some amazing ideas on how to defeat Malcolm and then she takes the initiative to carry out her plan. At that point I saw a hot heroine and I started thinking, "I love this chick!"

I did find some strange clichés in this book. The main character is a vampire who sleeps in a coffin, but EVERY night he breaks into a church to pray AND he has a guardian angel?! Also, there is so much that is sick, evil and wicked in this book but then God still plays such a big part in the “plan” that The Great Council follows.

This book has an true ending, so you can be content with it being a stand-alone novel; however, Jennifer does leave some things open to allow the story to become a series.

Even though I really struggled with this review, I could still talk about this book for hours because it had me thinking so much! So, I will just leave it at this . . . I never had such a feeling that I might just have to come back here to change or add to my review!

Hea y'all Anne here and I've just finished reading Birth Of Jaiden by Jennifer Malone Wright and here we go. Vampires, Angels, Witches, and Demons OH MY. Yes they are all in the book and they are written with such a grand magnitude that there is no way you can't fall in love with each character no matter if it's a demon or a fallen angel. The story is magnificent and captivating from page one, the main character Alex has some serious inner struggles going on but be that as it may he never looses his faith in the one thing he now misrepresents. His friend and fallen angel Danielle is always there guiding him, until one night his mission is brought forth into light. Alex is full of scorn and mistrust but can he do what is asked of him by the one he searches for his approval from. All the characters have great back stories and each story is touched on so that your given insight into how and why they are the way they are. If you want love stories there are several happening in this story all at once, if you want a new twist on classic good versus evil it's in this story, and if you want action it's in this story. Every page is jammed with twists and turns plot building information that will keep you flipping pages until the end and believe me it comes all to soon. The concept of this book is fresh and original and the fact that there are tons of paranormal players this is a book anyone can enjoy.
Jennifer Malone Wright has created and original story but beyond that she has beautifully brought not one or two characters to life but at least 10 characters play in the forefront of this book and none are neglected they feed off each other complimenting one another brilliantly. The attachment you'll grow to have for each character will be like be welcomed into a group of friends. The build up to the end is amazing and right when you think that it can't leave you hanging, guess what there's the end and that's how you stay with your mouth hanging open, heart beat racing and eyes bulging. This book was fabulous I've read other work from this author so I knew I would not be disappointed but this was beyond great it was exhilarating and refreshing, a great read for all paranormal lovers. 5 out of 5 stars for Birth Of Jaiden by Jennifer Malone Wright. Can't wait for part 2.

The story centers on the life of a century old vampire named Alexander Lucas, who after witnessing the death of his family and being turned against his will, is struggling to cope with what he has become. Alexander is in search for a purpose, breaking into a church each night to pray for answers and guidance.

One day his prayers are answered, and Alexander is at last given a duty which is in favor of the greater good of humanity. Alexander must protect and care for a newborn witch baby named Jaiden. This is no ordinary baby girl, Jaiden is powerful, and is capably of destroying the world if the wrong people get a hold on her.

Luckily, Alexander is not alone, having another powerful witch and a guardian angel on his side to battle against all things evil…Things take a turn when Alexander’s emotions come into play… Will he let his emotions get the best of him?

The Birth of Jaiden is definitely not your average vampire story. Coffins? Sure! But, who knew that some vampires wanted to be saved through finding a greater purpose, seeking help from beyond the universe and to a greater existence…

An element of The Birth of Jaiden that I personally enjoyed was the development of the characters within the novel and the flow of the story. The story was a little choppy at first, however, as the story unfolds, the characters’ backgrounds are revealed in greater detail, leaving you wanting to learn more about them all. Another aspect of the novel I also enjoyed is the alternating character point of views throughout the novel.

My favorite character would have to be Danielle, an earth-bound guardian angel who befriends Alexander. It’s always a pleasure seeing when most of the characters presented in the story played an important role, with few secondary characters; The Birth of Jaiden was no exception.

I would definitely love to read more about Alexander and Isabelle... and I will just leave it at that!

I recommend this novel to those who enjoy Adult Fiction and Fantasy. I definitely look forward to reading more of Jennifer Wright’s work!

4/5 – An Enjoyable Read, Well Written, Recommended

When I read about the Birth of Jaiden, I knew that I just hads to read it for two reasons. One being that right now I am throughly enjoying Vampire themed books at the moment, The other was a more personal reason and that was because to of the characters where named after my nieces Jaiden (spelled Jadyn) and Isabella. I know this is a very kooky reason but it's true.

I feel that Jennifer Wright did a surperb job with her first novel and I actually can not wait to read more from her. As I started reading this book I naturally thought that it was going to be the typical vampire love story that that we all have come to know. I was surprised and glade that I was. The main character Alex was a vampire but he wasn't the typical teen vampire but was a adult who had been through life as a mortal and have lived. This to me was refreshing because although I do enjoy the teen vampire love story I always kinda feel sorry for the vampires that have not got out of their teen years. Another aspect of the book that is totality going against the traditional vampire story line ifs that Alex although he is a vampire he belives in God, and that belief in God is what gets him through what he knows he needs to do but he rather not. The one thing that made me fall in love with Alex ( and yes to me he would be the perfect guy, if there was such a thing, and I wouldn't even care that he was a vampire) was the fact that Alex really didn't care about killing and did it out of only neccasity.

That was one ofthe things that I liked about this book and probably the thing that I had most about the Birth Of Jadien that I dislike the most. Because there are sereval scenes that are really graphic when Alex makes his kill. Although at times I could have did without those graphic scences. I relize why Wright put them there. And without them in my opionion ther book would have really been lacking something.

I really enjoyed The Birth Of Jaiden by Jennifer Malone Wright and hope that we see more amazing novels from her.

I have been back and forth on this book. I wasn't quite sure what exactly to talk about in the review or what to rate it. Normally I have a good list of specifics that I want to bring up, after reading a book.

But after reading The Birth of Jaiden, I found that I didn't have such a list. I just had some vague impressions. I enjoyed the book, and I would love to read more by Jennifer Malone Wright. The plot was really interesting and there was a lot going on, but for some reason I wasn't completely drawn into this book.

I was kind of neutral towards most of the characters, and I think that is what threw me for a loop. Normally I can pick out who I love and who I dislike, but here I kind of felt the same way towards a bunch of the people. It could have been because there were a lot of central characters and not too many secondary ones. Everyone played a pretty big role in the story. I will say I was not a fan of how quickly Alex liked Isabel. I would have liked to see more build up there. But I did love to read about their interactions later on in the story.

The book is right around 300 pages, but so much is going on that it feels a lot longer. I liked that about it- I love long books. However, some parts of the book felt a little choppy and confusing. It jumped around from character to character because there were so many people involved and a few sub-plots that I become confused a few times and would have to re-read parts. This is not a book that you can passively read. But once you really get into the meat of the story, it is really interesting!

The Birth of Jaiden certainly deals with some dark themes, so be prepared for that. These are not happy vampires, that's for sure. It can be quite heavy at parts.

I was intrigued the whole time I was reading The Birth of Jaiden though. I wanted to know what was going to happen. On a final reflection of the book, I thought it was good. I would like to see more from this author in the future.

New twists and an amazing book if you consider it is a debut novel. If I were not aware of the fact that this was a debut novel I would have lost a wager on this. The writing is very well paced. It flows very well and the "new" twist on the genre of all things Vampire was great.

I enjoyed this book even if I must admit that for now I am over the vampire twists. That should indicate that this book is really a good read.

The Birth of Jaiden by Jennifer Malone Wright is a paranormal book that centers on a vampire named, Alexander. Alexander struggles with his existence. He doesn't want to die but he doesn't want to be a vampire either. He prays to God daily to help him. God answers him in the form of a baby. Jaiden is a newborn that Alexander finds one night. She is very special and the key to something big. Jaiden is placed in Alexander's care for protection against anything/anyone that would harm her including the ruthless vamp, Malcolm.
This story is full of all sorts of supernatural creatures. For example Alexander has a guardian angel who is more like a best friend and Jaiden's nanny is a powerful witch. Together they do their best to protect the baby. However when Malcolm gets wind of Jaiden's existence, he does everything in his power to take Jaiden away from Alexander. However when one of Alex's friends escapes from Malcom's clutches a whole sinister plot is unveiled leaving the council no choice but to use Jaiden as bait.
Alexander Lucas is an interesting character because of his devotion to God. He is very devout in his prayers. He also goes through a bit of depression in the beginning of this novel. He just can't understand why God allows him to exist. However Jaiden changes him. She not only makes him feel again but also brings people into his life that changes as well. Before you start thinking this book is just a sappy story about a vampire and his baby, let me tell you it's not. There is also the kick butt, fighting evil part of this novel as well. Wright did a great job of balancing this story with sap and excitement. Overall it's a a good book. I definitely would like to see what happens next with Jaiden and Alexander.

Alexander is a vampire with a conscience. He picks the lock at the local church frequently so he can go in and pray for guidance. He knows his guardian angel - Danielle. She tells him that God has answered his prayers and has given Alex a job to do. That job is to raise an abandoned baby who will be a most powerful witch. Since Alex has to sleep all day, he needs a nanny for the baby - Jaiden. Alex and Danielle are part of the Collective - witches, angels, vampires who do their best to protect the humans. One of the witches suggests a witch nanny for Jaiden and Alex not only hires her, he takes on responsibility for her younger siblings that she had been raising.
A member of the Collective goes missing. Is he a traitor, or has he been taken by their enemy vampire Malcolm? Malcolm's mate is not only vampire but a powerful witch. Together they plan to rule the world making humans their cattle, to be eaten as needed or wanted.
A trap is set for Malcolm with Jaiden as bait. It goes wrong and Jaiden and Isabella (nanny)are taken. Alex is heartbroken and angry. Working uneasily with vampire slayers, Malcolm's lair is located. Can the good guys defeat the bad vampires, rescue Isabella, Stewart (missing Collective member), Jaiden, and the humans being held against their will. In wars there are always deaths and this war is no exception. How do the deaths affect the Collective, Alex, the Vampire Slayers?
I almost gave this a 3 * rating. There were too many characters to easily keep track of. If this is going to be a series then I can understand the need for all the characters as they will each have important parts in future books. So giving the author points for a possible sequel/series I rated the book 4 *'s.

The Birth of Jaiden is the debut novel for Jennifer Wright and one that is a really tantalizing read.

I was drawn to the story from the beginning as I found it very interesting how Jennifer combined faith with vampires. At first I struggled with the concept that Alex, the main character, is a vampire who has faith in God. I found it rather interesting how Jennifer combined vampires and having a faith in God.

When I learnt more about Alex’s past I began to understand how he came to have faith in God even as a vampire. It made me realise that anyone, whether they be human or not have some faith in a god.

I really, really enjoyed this book. I found it to be a tantalizing read. There were so many juicy things happening right throughout the book, which really made the book so appealing to me.

Alex’s relationship with Danielle really stood out for me. She is Alex’s guardian angel and loves him like she would any sibling.
As the story progresses we learn how Alex meets Danielle and how this relationship begins. In a way I felt that Alex’s feelings for Danielle were more than sibling love.. I did think that Alex loved her like he loved his wife but as I read on I realised that Alex was falling in love with Isabella and Danielle had eyes for another.

After finishing The Birth of Jaiden, I felt like the story had only just begun. It ended with me wanting to know more about Jaiden’s life with Alex and Isabella and whether Alex pursued an intimate relationship with Isabella.

Anyone who loves vampires will defiantly love this book.

Thankyou Jennifer for the opportunity to read and review your book

Alexander (Known as Alex) is a Vampire, you learn this from the start.

We learn that he lost his family through a horrific tragedy, although you don't find out the complete details of what actually happens until towards the end of the book when Alex is finally opening up and re-telling his story and his pain.

To be completely honest with you, I personally thought that I wouldn't like the story, don't ask me why, because I truly wouldn't be able to give you an honest answer, I think I just thought it was about someone protecting a child, but I was proven wrong and I'm glad I continued reading this book, because I eventually fell in love with it!

Alex is constantly living in grief and pain, from the ordeal he went through with his family years previous, he feels abandoned by God himself, abandoned from civilisation, he seemed to have lost his faith in the Lord at some point in his life, but his Guardian Angel, managed to bring him back to praise the Lord himself, and managed to restore some of the faith he lost, through a small innocent little child, Jaiden!

This book is action packed, and I love the story that's starting to flourish between Alex & Isabella. I do hope to see more from them and I definitely look forward to reading the sequel to this book!

Jennifer always manages to pull you so far into her stories, that you feel like your practically walking in the characters shoes, I freaking love it!
I've read the TVHD series by Jennifer and I loved her writing and layout of the storyline in that, she is an awesome writer, and I would recommend this book to EVERYONE!

The Birth of Jaiden is an inspirational story that shows us that we can choose to be good or we can choose to be evil. People are not always who or what you expect them to be.

Alex is a century old vampire, who breaks into a church every night to pray to God for the simple fact that he loathes what he has been turned into. He believes that God has a purpose for him that is greater than even he can understand, though he has his doubts from time to time. His character completely took me by surprise, as he has a conscience, believes in a higher power and has many regrets, unlike typical vampires we normally read about.

He is in search of a meaning to his life (or undead life) and he finally finds that when he finds baby Jaiden. She is the one thing that could destroy the world. She needs to be surrounded by love and have guidance to grow up and use her powers for good. Alex finally has someone to love and a reason for being. He must keep her safe with the help of The Great Council.

There are so many amazing characters in this book: Isabella, a young witch who is stronger than even she realizes; Danielle, a guardian angel who is earthbound; Victoria, a crotchety old hag of a witch who really does have a heart buried deep beneath all that crankiness and Levine, an evil vampire queen who pushes the envelope when it comes to being crazy.

This book is full of emotion and action packed. Can a bunch of misfits (angels, vampires, witches, slayers and humans) beat the ultimate evil in order to save the fate of a little girl?

I would describe The Birth of Jaiden as refreshing and inspirational, it’s not your typical vampire story and that right there is what I love about this book. The story centers around the life of a century old vampire named Alexander Lucas, who is struggling to come to terms with what he has become and Dealing with the death of his family. After all this time Alexander is still searching for his purpose, he breaks into his local church every night to pray. Even after what he has become he has not lost his faith in god. One day his prayers are answered, in the form of a sweet newborn baby girl. Alexander must protect and care for a newborn witch named Jaiden. For she alone holds the key to saving them all from Malcolm or destroying everything. The Birth of Jaiden really has everything you want in a paranormal book. Guardian Angels, Fallen Angels, reformed Vampire, non-reformed Vampires, good Witches, evil Witches, Slayers, and Magicians you get the Idea. Overall I loved the book and if there is a 2nd book (and boy do I hope there will be more) I will defiantly be reading it.

This review is from: The Birth of Jaiden (Kindle Edition)
This book was amazing from the first moment I flipped it open to start to read it! I was a huge fan of Jennifer Malone Wright's The Vampire Hunters Daughter short stories but this book by far made one of the best reads I have read in awhile!
Alex is a vampire who struggles with what he is, he refuses to lose his faith and asks god for something to make him look forward to waking up to each night of his immortal life! His prayers were answered with Jaiden a baby girl destined to change the world yet faces a long life of danger! This book has it all! Demon's, Vampires,Angels, witches and even slayers! What's even more interesting in this book is all of them have to work together to protect this child and mankind! Thank you Jennifer Malone Wright for another wonderful read! I look forward to reading what happens next as you continue this journey of Alex and Jaiden!

I was blessed by being given this ebook for an honest review.
Savior is an inspirational story about good vs evil. You are who you choose to be.
I loved each and every character. They were portrayed on the pages in such a real manner that I cared about them as real friends.
Alex suffers a devastating loss and still finds faith to be on the side of good. Of coarse he gets angry and isn't someone I'd want to piss off but his heart is in a good place. He is genuine and I LOVED his character for that.
Isabella doesn't think highly of herself but cares for those around her deeply. You'll quickly see she's an amazing young witch who shouldn't be underestimated by anyone. This chick can hold her own!
Deanna was another of my favorites. She has tremendous growth in this story and she made me so proud by the end of this tale.
I think this is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ. This should be on a big screen one day. I highly recommend you download. It's so worth it

I really enjoy Jennifer Malone Wright’s series of short stories, The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter, so I figured that I would try out the Birth of Jaiden, even though it looks very different from the types of books that I normally read. I’m glad that I gave it a try! It was refreshing to read a book with a new, interesting take on vampires. This book wasn’t your typical Twilight knock-off. It was also very different from Wright’s Vampire Hunter’s Daughter series, with scenes that were much more intense (and almost too intense at times). I found the main character to be likeable and the overall story to be intriguing and suspenseful.

This is one amazing paranormal read. A vampire asked by God to watch over a baby girl who could bring human's destruction or salvation depending on who raised her. It is a struggle between good and bad that has no real ending in sight. So many wonderful characters capture your heart and make you regret finding out some of their outcomes :( Very action packed, romanticly sweet and full of surprises that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat :D Must read for all of you paranormal fanatics :D
