Christmas Memories at Waterside Cottage: Charlie and Grace have been together for four years, but when Grace wakes up in hospital after an accident, she doesn’t remember her husband at all. With Christmas just around the corner, and it being their favourite time of year, Charlie pulls out all the festive stops, hoping his wife will remember their relationship or at least fall in love with him all over again, because there is no way he can lose her.

My Opinion

Each book in this series can be read as a standalone but they are linked through recurring characters. In order to get maximum enjoyment with no spoilers it is advisable to read the series in the correct order. I have said it before, I think this series is great and I am always excited when I see that there is an upcoming release, in fact I have already signed up to read the next book.

This was a nice, sweet book that I struggled to put down. I really enjoyed the way that Charlie helped Grace relearn their Christmas traditions. A lovely, short book that will help you get into the festive mood. It is always a joy to return to Pepper Bay, everyone is always so welcoming.

I love this series. I have read all of them so far and they do not disappoint.

This time it's the turn of grace who has.just come out of a coma and can not remember anything from the last 4 years this also includes her husband Charlie who she only meet 4 years ago.

Christmas is their favourite time of year and the time they meet so he is determined to make this the best Christmas for them both and for grace to remember him and their love for each other.

She feels awful as everyone says they love each other and he is a hot doc but she literally remembers nothing.

At times she looks at him and her insides feel something for him but she's not sure what.and with all Hadleys getting involved and trying to look out for her Charlie loves them for it but would also like a bit of space.

As Christmas eve draws near can they reunite and feel the old love between them.

This was the perfect Christmas book with a nice return to the same area pepper Lane and the same characters.

Can't wait for the next book.

It was great to be back in Pepper Bay again for this beautiful, emotional Christmas read.

Grace has just woken up after 3 weeks in a coma and thinks she sees her boyfriend kissing her sister. What transpires is that Grace has lost the last 4 years of her life including being married to Hot Doc Charlie.

Charlie is devastated and sets out to recreate a month of dates (like their original ones) to see if it jogs her memory and remembers the life they had.

I totally fell in love with this book and the characters and actually had a tear in my eye at some points. What comes through is that in times of crisis, family and friends are such a huge support. There is a great rapport amongst the characters which makes it even better. And don't forget a visit back to Grace's beloved donkey sanctuary.

If you only read one Christmas book, I suggest you make it this one.

Thank you @rachelsrandomresources for my arc copy for review and spot on the tour.

I just absolutely love this series!! In this book the story is about Grace and Charlie. Grace was knocked down by a car and has been in a coma but when she wakes up she doesn’t recognise her husband Charlie. She has forgotten the last four years of her life so he starts to gain her trust and make new memories with her, all the time hoping to jog her memory. Along with heartache at times, there is such a wonderful feeling of family and support, especially with Grace’s family the Hadleys. With characters from the previous books making appearances this shows community spirit. It’s also about following your heart, never giving up and how deep love can be. I cannot wait for the next one in the series!

I love this series so much, as an island girl myself it's always a much needed trip home. And I love working out which Isle of Wight locations Dady's book places are based on.

It's the most wonderful time of the year and poor Charlie is trying to pull out the stops in the hope of a happy Christmas where his wife remembers him being her husband.

Christmas Memories is the tenth installment to this wonderful series, although it can read as a standalone, I would urge you to start from the beginning, the residents of Pepper Bay are so lovely and I'm sure they'd love to meet you!

The characters are warm, friendly and real. The stories are heartwarming, easy reading and highly enjoyable.

Loved being back in Pepper Bay for this beautiful festive read. When Grace wakes up after being in a coma for three weeks she has lost four years of memories including her wedding to Charlie! Her family rally to help but there are a lot of Hadleys and Charlie feels it’s up to him to make Grace fall in love with him again. Wonderful setting with characters from earlier books who I love (apart from one), this book was filled with beautiful festive moments and memories, as Christmas approaches can Charlie have his Christmas wish!

Such a lovely story

I really enjoyed reading this book. Poor Grace was knocked down by a car in the last book and this carried on from there. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves reading feel good stories.

Each of the books in this fabulous series can be read as standalone stories but they all have links and repeating characters. That said, there is a strong link between this one and the last, The Castle on the Mead, as it was part of that story that Grace was involved in a hit and run incident. This story opens with Grace opening her eyes after spending 3 weeks in a coma.
The discovery that she has lost four years’ worth of memories, is a shock to her, but not as shocking as learning that she is married to the ‘Hot Doc’. Charlie, her husband, is devastated by her accident and filled with fear that she may never remember him, and he will lose her. The situation that they find themselves in is unimaginable, and I was soon rooting for any signs of even a wisp of a memory.
Of course, friends and family are the best way of jogging her memory, but time will have to be the greatest healer. What the reader gets is a first-hand view of the strength of love that Charlie feels for Grace and a new courtship as he is determined to keep hold of their marriage.
The love and warmth practically leaps from the pages, and I turned the pages greedily. The characters are perfectly developed and totally relatable. Not that I can relate with their exact situation, but certainly feeling such a depth of love for a partner.
As I said, all the books in this series can be read as a standalone story, but I’m sure that once you’ve read one, it will be almost impossible to resist more.

I have read several books in the Pepper Bay series. They are not long books but believe me, you get a full story. The books are heartwarming and realistic with a little drama and a few things to work through in life.
No one's idea of fun would be to wake up in a hospital with some of their memory gone, but this is exactly what happens to our main female character. Family is everything in this book. I love seeing the family comradery. She has several sisters and parents giving her support. Now I just loved her husband's character. He is incredibly supportive. She doesn't remember being married to him and I wasn't sure until very close to the end if she would want to stay with him as memories resurfaced, if she would fall in love with him anew or she wouldn't feel comfortable staying with him.
I could understand if he would become frustrated or mad at her for her lack of memory but he's so gentle and understanding, not rushing her and her feelings.
I loved the compassion shown to the donkeys at the Donkey Sanctuary. Animals make a story better and bring out the compassion in people.
This Christmas book is fun and festive and will put you in the holiday mood with its snowmen, holiday drinks and family time spent at a Christmas tree farm.
Warm and beautifully written I will now be catching up on the rest of the series.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

Christmas Memories at Waterside Cottage is my first visit to Pepper Bay, but it definitely won’t be my last! While the title suggested a sweet, almost Hallmark-esque holiday tale, the book is actually a deep reflection of love and memory, and how each informs the other.

I really liked the character of Grace who wakes up from a three-week coma missing four years of memories. Author KT Dady did an amazing job of depicting her initial befuddlement, her ongoing confusing, and her journey back toward strength and confidence, giving her an excellent supporting cast in her Hot Doc husband Charlie, and her younger sister Molly, and the rest of their family and friends.

I really liked the way Dady kept this story grounded in emotional truth, and let the characters find their way organically, and I especially appreciated how graceful (no pun intended) and well-crafted the plot was – turning this novel into a sort of second-chance romance with a refreshingly original twist.

I don’t know how much the setting of Pepper Bay figures into the other books in this series, or if it’s merely a connecting point for all of Dady’s work, but the town felt real. As for the titular cottage – I’ll happily spend Christmas there any time I’m invited.

Overall, this is a holiday romance that manages to be warm and hopeful without any commercial schmaltz. Highly recommend.

Goes well with: Mulled wine and mince pie.

Christmas Memories At Waterside Cottage by K T Dady is the most beautiful contemporary novel that I just could not put down. It is set in December on the Isle Of Wight and really is Christmas in a book.
Festive scenes evoke memories of childhood Christmases with snow, snowmen and love.
Family is important. Family is those who love us no matter what. Family stick by us. The warmth and love of a family reach beyond the book to envelop the reader.
With recent memories just out of reach, a character has to recreate Christmases past in the hope that his wife will remember not only who he is but why they fell in love. The reader is enchanted by magical Christmas tree farms and festive gingerbread drinks.
There is one who tries to take advantage of a lack of memory, as a character tries to poison a relationship with wicked lies due to jealousy.
All the characters were delightfully drawn, warm and realistic. I adored them all with their love and care.
I loved the heart of compassion for the donkeys in the donkey sanctuary. Donkeys say love, loyalty and steadfastness, just like many characters in the novel.
Christmas Memories At Waterside Cottage was such a beautiful read that will put you in the mood for Christmas.
I received a free copy via Rachel’s Random Resources for a blog tour. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

It's no secret that I really really LOVE this series! Each installment is a lovely stand-alone story, while also part of the series, so adding that little something for the readers that choose to read it as part of a series as I have. I have been reading this series since the start and am pleasantly surprised by the new and wonderful characters we meet in each new story.

This is the story of Charlie and Grace. Just like with all the other books in this series, the chapters alternate between the two main characters with their inner thoughts written in italics. This book continues where book 9 left off, so when Grace wakes up from a coma. This story is so touching with Grace not remembering her husband at all and him still madly in love with her. Can he help her memories come back or should he just focus on having her fall in love with him all over again? Charlie was such a wonderful and romantic character. I loved him right from the start and Grace was one of the calmer of the sisters, perhaps with her being the eldest... but the constant appearances of the rest of the family make for a noisy, fun and sweet story.

So good to return to Pepper Bay on the Isle of Wight
Where Charlie and Grace are facing a dreadful plight.
There are also the characters from earlier books, too,
Sharing what's happened to them and what they do.

They fell in love at Christmas time,
Then she was the victim of a terrible crime,
Left in a coma for three weeks or more
On waking she's lost four years and is feeling more than sore.

Grace has forgotten all about Charlie when she awakes
But he'll fight for them both, do whatever it takes.
He takes her to places they'd been together
Frightened otherwise she'll remember their love never.

What a moving story from both their points of view,
Sharing just what they are both going through.
With others causing mischief and family drama, too,
A fabulous, heartwarming read, I highly recommend to you.

I really felt connected to the characters in this book.
When more in the series come out, I'll definitely take more than a look!
For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you -
As I share with you my honest review.

K.T Dady - Christmas memories at waterside cottage

Thank you so much K.T.Dady and Rachel’s Random resources for gifting me a digital copy of 'Christmas memories at waterside cottage' in exchange for an honest review.

I always love returning to the comfort of the Pepper bay series, this time we start with a traumatic event that has left Grace with no memories of the last 4 years including her life with Hot Doc Charlie. It was so nice seeing Grace and Charlie rediscover their lives and recreate memories that Grace has lost. I love the standalone aspect of these books that means you can read them individually but if you have read the series its so nice seeing old faces pop in and our and add layers to the story.

This is a lovely series set on the Isle of Wight in Pepper Bay.

Grace is still in a coma after someone knocked her down. When she comes around, her husband, Charlie, is devastated, she cannot remember anything of their relationship from the start, four years previously.

Grace has a big family who all rally round, but Charlie wants her to himself, so she can remember.

There follows a lovely story of Grace and Charlie, with Grace learning about Charlie and their relationship, at her most favourite time of year, Christmas!

All standalone books, this is a delightful series. The books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

I can't wait for the next book to be released.
