About the series:
The Wardens series begins with the three Brooks brothers, Evan (34), Aiden (32) and Taylor (28). They were early settlers of the town of Braunfels, Texas. When the town was haunted by a series of brutal animal attacks, that left a half-dozen townsmen murdered, the Brooks brothers took things into their own hands. Armed and ready for action, they set out into the wilderness, determined to find this animal and kill it. What they found was a female vampire who decided the brothers were scrumptious morsels, worth keeping around for a lifetime. She attacked the brothers and turned them to vampires.
No sooner did she turn them, though, than another vampire appeared and killed her. This vampire declared himself a “Warden” of the Vampire Council. Wardens uphold the rules of the Vampire race and report to the Council. Killing a human is punishable by death and their ‘Maker’ had broken that rule. The brothers were then taken to the Council, where they were taught how to survive without killing, how to mingle with humans as if one of them, and when to move on from a location so that they would not be suspected as vampires. Most importantly, they learned who their enemies were and how to defeat them.
In the end, the brothers were granted a financial dowry that had belonged to their Maker and given the choice of freedom, under Council rule, or an alternative—to become Wardens.
Now, the brothers travel together as Wardens, tracking outlaw vampires, killing them and protecting innocent humans. It is their eternal duty.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Sexy vampire warden Aiden, is investigating the death of six University students and the drug, blood red. Blood red is an aphrodisiac drug from the underground vampire world that brings about ecstasy through pain once taken. During his investigation, he meets Medical Examiner, Kelly, who will help him solve the case.
THOUGHTS
This was definitely a great addition to the series and I enjoyed Aiden’s story. Aiden and Kelly’s story was good and kept me interested in what will happen next. With each brother’s story, I get more involved with their underground world, law, and Marcus, their warden in-charge. It was great to read about Troy again, Aiden’s brother who was an added bonus to the story. We definitely got a manipulative villain that created excitement to the storyline. I enjoyed the author’s action sequences as they deliver and keeps your interest. As for the end, it was interesting and a pleasing solution to a problem *wink*.
Troy is a vampire after my own heart. I just know with his story Hot Vampire Touch; it is going to be bad, messy, and downright sexy. I am eager for more of Troy, not to take away from Aiden's story of course which was good.

What can I say but riveting. I read this book in 5 hours. I could NOT put it down. It is about family loyalty, love and denying that love, and deception. Have I grabbed your attention yet. Pick up this book then. I know you WILL enjoy it.

This is the second novella in a trilogy of three brothers saved from death by Marcus, Head Warden to the Vampire Council and then enlisted as Wardens under his control to track down and kill rogue vampires.
This is the story of Aiden and Kelly. Kelly is a coroner, but fancies herself as a detective when women are being found dead with drugs in their system and drained of blood. Aiden posing as an FBI agent goes to Kelly for information he needs in hunting for the werewolf he believes is responsible for the murders.....and as in any good erotic paranormal romance, when he meets Kelly he realises that it is more than information he is wanting from Kelly!!!!
This is a novella, so it is short.....but I have to say despite this there is plenty of action, romance,sex and enough background information to keep you interested and wanting more especially as they are still on the hunt for the rogue werewolf.
Troy, the youngest brother is next and there is a lot in his past that we have only had glimpses of, and I cant wait for that to be elaborated on.
I will say if you are reading this on kindle, when you open the book it will come up at 6%. You need to back up a few pages to the beginning as there is background information on the brothers and how they became vampires, which without you may get a little lost!!!!

Vampires, werewolves, hybrids, a forensic scientist and romance - who could ask for more? From zero to sixty in no time with both action and story development. Can't wait to read more from Lisa Renee Jones!
This is the story of the second brother, Aiden, in the continuing story of the Brooks vampire wardens story and how he meets Kelly. I haven't read the first book in the series yet, which always makes me a bit antsy, but I was completely comfy with reading this out of order as it is truly a stand alone story.
This has a great story line, sexy well developed characters (a feat in a short novella) and steamy romance with hot chemistry.
I hope Jones decides to write a full length novel featuring these characters introduced in the three brothers' novellas.
Quick note on my sexual rating of Steamy (2 of 4). Even though there is some oral and a ménage, the sex is not very detailed or graphic and the scenes are quick (as one might expect in a novella). This is not a bad thing, nor a criticism, just an explanation as to why a story with elements of a Hot! (3) or a Four Alarm Fire (4) rating has a Steamy one instead.

I'm not sure where to begin with Aiden's story. The story picks up right after Hot Vampire Kiss and we meet Aiden and Troy again. They are after the werewolf that attacked Evan's wife Marissa leaving her for dead. Meanwhile the coroner, Kelly Riggs is working a series of cases involving a drug called Blood Red that is killing woman that go to certain clubs in Austin. She meets Aiden when he comes to her to ask her a few questions about the case.
Their chemistry is instant and hot. Aiden hasn't felt the need for a woman since he's girlfriend was killed and the need for Kelly is beyond his control. He feels the need to protect her and love her at the same time. Aiden is the brother that needs control and doesn't want to involve an another woman in his life. He loved once and was deeply hurt by the loss of not only his girlfriend but by his parents and his sister at the hands of a vampire. Kelly Riggs is a content woman in her life and in her work. Sure would she like a boyfriend; sure, you bet. She doesn't have time right now with the cases piling up and one determined detective on her heels pressing her for more information. Her attraction to Aiden is a distraction but a needed one when she finds herself in deep trouble.
Hot Vampire Seduction has it all for me. Crisp dialogue, characters that are likeable, suspense elements that are spot on, chemistry between two people that burned my Nook and a menage that I really didn't see coming. You have been warned but with that in mind, the menage that happens is necessary and makes complete sense in the world that Lisa has built. I normally don't go for that type of menage but Lisa wrote it beautifully.
I can hardly wait for the conclusion of the Brooks brothers trilogy. Troy is definitely going to be a handful and I look forward to reading it. I highly recommend Hot Vampire Seduction for the suspense, crisp dialogue and the redemption of one hero that never saw it coming.

Austin, Texas – contemporary
Kelly Riggs is a medical examiner in Austin. Kelly has always been dedicated to her work and determined to help the police catch those that have killed. Now there is a serial killer in Austin that is killing women and she is determined to help stop the killer so that no one else dies. What Kelly didn’t count on is bringing the attention of the killer to herself. Now she is in the path of the killer that uses werewolf and vampire blood to make women have desires that if they aren’t satisfied the women will die.
Aiden Brooks is a vampire that is also a Warden. It is his job and the job of his brothers to protect the humans from vampires that have gone into bloodlust and werewolves. Aiden is finding his current job more personal once he meets Kelly. Aiden’s past has made it difficult for him to love as he has loved and lost in the past but Kelly is making him wish for the impossible. Aiden will do whatever he has to do to make sure that Kelly doesn’t become the victim to the killer he is hunting.
Kelly and Aiden will have to find a way to draw out the killer so that they catch him before he gets to Kelly. Aiden will also have to find a way to get the happy ever after he didn’t get last time. Kelly is determined show Aiden that it is possible to have a future together because she knows she has found someone that she isn’t ready to give up.
This story is sure to have the reader sitting on the edge of their seat as they read it. The reader is never sure what will happen next and the story is fast paced that will keep the reader turning the pages just to see what happens next. The characters are well developed and keep the reader engrossed in the story just to find out more about them. This is the second story in the trilogy and while it can be read as a stand alone it is much better when read with the first book in the trilogy.

Kelly was a temptation that Vampire Warden Aiden Brooks needed to resist. He knew the case she was working on involved vampires and she was a tempting target for the killer but there was something about her that made it hard to follow the rules of his kind. Something that was hard for him to deny.
Aiden was a distraction that Kelly couldn't afford and one she had not been susceptible to since her college days. She was getting closer to finding out what this drug was in the women's blood, the one a serial killer had used to kill 6 women, and she would follow whatever lead she could to get the information before there was another victim.
Protecting Kelly was Aiden's first priority especially when he knew that there was a personal connection to the Blood Red drug that was being used on the victims. When Kelly puts herself in danger to help flush out the killer it proves to be a deadly situation unless Aiden and his brother Troy do what is needed to save the woman that Aiden had let into his heart.
This was one quick, hot and steamy novella. I am a lover of vampire romance and this little treat filled my need for some sexy carnal vampire nooky as it wove it into a very exciting storyline. For those of you who like a little spice with your romance, this book has some menage but it is not an in your face vivid detail accounting but rather an intimate and sexy interaction between three people who are connected by the dangerous situation they are facing and the love between them. Take a chance on this book and the first book in the series too Hot Vampire Kiss, I was more than entertained with both and cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Aiden is a member of the Vampire Wardens. They are sworn to protect humanity from the evil vampires. Although a vampire himself he hunts the vampires filled with bloodlust that destroy and prey the humans.
Kelley is a medical examiner concerned with the recent deaths of college girls. The deaths were suspicious, but nothing human medical science can solve. The more she explores the deaths the closer she puts herself in danger from the evil destroying her city. Only one person can save her from the danger threatening her life.
If you are a fan of vampire romance you must read this sizzling story. Although its the second book of a trilogy, it can be read alone. The attraction between Aiden and Kelley will keep you reading until the final page. I could not put this book down. I cannot wait for the final book in this series.

I'm wondering if I read a different book, but I really didn't think much of this one. The story was not bad, but it was predictable. The writing was melodramatic, somewhat juvenile, with words missing in quite a few places. An example:

I enjoyed the characters chemistry and the spice. I feel like it all happened too fast though. I know it's a novella, so it was supposed to, but I would have loved more. More details, more looks into the brother's lives as Vampire Wardens, and more details on the vampire warden culture etc.

The second novella in this series is steamy and erotic. The story of Kelly and Aiden follows on from Evan's story and has the wardens still tracking the werewolf who attacked Marissa. However, now he has teamed up with some vampires and they are drugging and killing young girls. I can't wait to see what happens next.

The storyline was told in such a way where you got all the necessary details in a short amount of time which was perfect. Wrapped the story nicely at the end but still left you with wanting to know what happens with Troy.

Kelly is a medical examiner and is investigating a disturbing series of murders. All the victims are young, pretty women with no visible injuries, but their blood volume is reduced to only half of normal, and contains trace remnants of a mysterious drug. The young women had all been to some nightclubs with the names of Twilight, Breaking Dawn, and Eclipse...an unfortunate vampire coincidence?
Aiden is an FBI agent, who is also secretly a Warden (along with his 2 brothers), whose job is to police and kill the rogue vampires who illegally feed on humans. Aiden teams up to work with Kelly to catch a killer of humans. Vampires have evolved and he knows it is a rogue vampire who is illegally feasting on human blood. He has a sad personal background and witnessed the murder of his parents and sister by a rogue female vampire many, many years ago.
Kelly fits the victim profile perfectly (other than her chronological age), but she looks the part, so she plans to go the nightclubs as bait and try to get her hands on the mystery drug.
Corrupt creepy cops and Aiden's brother Troy, who is a damaged hybrid vampire, round out the cast.
The magnetic attraction between Kelly and Aiden is undeniable and sizzling hot, but Aiden is determined to protect Kelly, and he can't protect her if he's f&*%ing her, so he (barely) restrains himself. Kelly burns for Aiden and in frustration decides to take matters into her own hands...
Will Aiden spill his secret? Will Kelly get hurt or killed in her quest to capture a killer? Is this a doomed love affair?
I really enjoyed this story and appreciated its steamy parts and the world that the author created along with the mystery-suspense! Unfortunately, the book novella needed some editing~ there were quite a few long run-on sentences and quite a few grammatical errors (their, they're, there).
I didn't realize this was a series, and now I want to read more of this world with Aiden's hot Warden brothers! Lisa Renee Jones can write a steamy and hot romantic suspense story and she is becoming an auto-buy author for me. Too bad this novella needed some editing!

Hot Vampire Seduction is the second installment of the Vampire Wardens series. The series continues in it's erotic vein adding a little more heat with a Menage. In this installment we meet Vampire Warden, Aiden Brooks. He is the middle child of three brothers who are all Wardens. Aiden is very level headed and purpose driven. He is not looking for love but finds it unexpectantly in the arms of coroner Kelly Riggs.
Kelly is investigating a serial killer using a strange new drug called Blood Red to kill young women. There are no signs of trama on the bodies but they have all been drained of blood and have a trace of some strange drug. The traces are too small to test so Kelly decides she needed to go out and get a sample from the dealers hanging around the club scene. Little does Kelly know, Aiden is on the case because this drug is a hybrid of vampire and werewolf blood. A bad combination for any number of reasons including the werewolf supplying his blood is on the Warden's 'Most Wanted' hit list.
This book moves the story forward more rapidly than the first one. I felt the first one was too rushed but I am certain this one really needed a few more chapters. It was too compact and the ending felt much more abrupt. There is so much untapped potential in these characters and the vampire/werewolf world of the Wardens.
I am hopeful that Ms. Jones will make 3rd brother Troy's book a full novel. Troy has some major issues that need to be explored. The world of the governing vampire council and the Wardens is incomplete as well. There is also Marcus. What is his story? I also want to understand the ramifications of the werewolf civil war. Why is there a sudden mutation of the werewolf virus?
I will admit that this series can become addictive if one has the patience. I don't know that I can do another short story for Troy. Troy's book has no title or release date yet so I can't say I'll buy it. But I am hopeful because this series has something special. Minus 2 stars for the abrupt ending and the lack of revealing more about the wolves leaving 3 for everything else.

The chracters in the second book are much more interesting but so is the story itself, there were some moments I found my self blushing & other times giggling, so it's not a in depth read & you don't have to really enjoy vamps just hot brothers who kick ass!!!!

SPOILERS/LOTS OF SPs
if Rene had actually taken time to expang this book into a full novel with may be even a sequal the I would say this is a pretty good book. But considering she didn't really upset me cuz ive read her other work and its mind blowing comparing to this rushed writing.
Now don't go all crazy bitch on me. I have ligitamate reasons why I think this book needed to be more developed.
1) they had sex way to fast. and the most disturbing part was that his bro was in the next room and let me tell u him being a vamp makes his hearing ten times better than the normal man.
2)the whole two guys fucking her so stupid. I don't want to parade on Renes books but I swear the whole drug scene and ending her pain with intense pleasure was ridiculous. But ilI got to give it to her it was one conniving way to incorporate erotic sex into the book. And maybe I shouldn't be so judgmental because maybe I did subconsciously know that there'd be some kinky shit going on in this book.
3) the fell in love way too fast (no one falls in love that fast)

He turning her into a bloodsucking fiend and she says yes like she's deciding what flavor ice cream she wants. The story develops around the two many characters Aiden and Kelly. Aiden is the 2nd of three brothers. This story has reference to book 1 which may indicate it is a good idea to read them in order. That way one can have an understanding of the characters and the story.
This short story has an interesting plot; the warden is fighting against a new breed of werewolf by the name of Andre, who has developed a drug using a combination of werewolf blood and vampire which brings extreme pain in the absence of pleasure.
I like the two main characters, Aiden is a vampire who has had his share of pain. His has suffered a lot and knows that getting close to people isn’t smart since everyone always end up dead. His character is strong, intelligent and sexy. He isn’t the typical vampire male we get to read about in other books and stories. There is uniqueness to his character, perhaps his sensitivity, or just his character ability to bring emotions out of the reader.

The story line in this book is great. Its a fun and sexy read you wont put down.
Usually I feel that novella's have something missing but not with Lisa Renee Jones.
Her details blend together perfectly. Its not easy to amp up the passion in a novella without it feeling rushed but these 3 novellas thats not the case at all.
The action is packed and the passion is so HOT youll be fanning yourself.
Aiden, a trustworthly, honorable, sexy vampire warden who is all about work. Doesnt have time for woman and especially not human women until that all changed one day.
Kelly, a smart, beautiful, headstrong woman. Her world turns upside down after a series of murders bring her close to the murderer.

I went back and forth about whether to give this story 2 stars or 3. If 2.5 was an option, that's what I would have given it. It started off great, would have been 4 stars. Then about halfway through, the author seemed to lose her feel for the story and melodrama and cheesy lines started sneaking their way in. The reason for a menage was a bit lame too. I think the hero would have had difficulty getting over his brother having been with the woman he loved, even if it was "necessary to save her life" *snorts laughter*. Okay, okay I will stop laughing and finish this. It also needed an epilogue since the ending was a bit abrupt. That's two books in one week with an abrupt ending. I hope it isn't a new trend in romance novels. Because I enjoyed the beginning, I ended up deciding on 3 stars.

2nd book in the series and it's definitely a winner. The first story featured Evan's story and I liked him immediately, I can say the same thing about Aiden, he's very likeable, honorable and fierce. These brothers are fabulous, delicious and Hawt!
The story moves very fast and I liked it that way. I felt invested in the characters and in the stories, even though they are short stories. That takes talent.
It pulled me in and kept my interest and by butt on the edge of my seat.
Now on to Book 3...Troy's book, which may be the most moving of the three because of what he's suffered through and has so far survived.
I hope that Marcus gets a story, he's the most powerful and a ancient vampire. I would love to know more about him.

Aiden is still searching for the Rogue Were from book #1 but there is more to be concerned about, there is a new street drug begin used on humans that’s leaving them dead…in particular partial drained of their blood with no open wounds. So the Vampire Council has sent in Wardens to clean this obvious breech in vampire etiquette. Aiden goes straight to the coroner Kelly Riggs and instant attraction to this human who for some reason, doesn’t instantly fear him as others do but, he has a job to do so he keeps away…or tries. When Kelly put herself in a dangerous situation, Aiden comes to her rescue and keeping her safe means keeping her close.

This is book 2 in the Vampire Warden series and I loved it! I prefered this one to the first one and I gave that 5stars, suddenly wishing the scale went higher!
We learn more about the brother's and how they came to be the men they are today and I adore the men they are today. I can't wait to get to Troy's book, I have a feeling his story is going to be even better than Aiden or Evan's. Lots of action, suspense & the sex was hot. I didn't see the middle coming, but it was wonderfully written and necessary for the plot.

Loooove these books! This one is about the brother Aiden! He's on the hunt for the creator/dealer of a new kind of drug called "Blood Red" that's killed 6 women. He meets doctor Kelly and, like Evan, falls head over heels in love upon first meeting her, even though he knows this is the last thing he should be doing. Kelly is friends with a police detective who is also a vampire. The detective is, obviously, crooked and Aiden must now save her from the detective and his plans to maker her his 7th victim. Super fast read, super fun read! Give this series a go, you'll enjoy it!

"Hot Vampire Seduction" is the second in LRJ's "Vampire Wardens" series and thus far it's making for some very enjoyable reading. This one like the first had an engaging storyline, and even though there was no intimacy until probably half way through, its H.E.A.T index was off the charts. While this was Aidens story the author did give us more details into Troys tortured past making me extremely anxious to get started on book 3 Hot Vampire Touch

Very short and love affair is undeveloped and a bit unbelievable. How did that happen in such a short period of time. Not may favorite of the series. But it is the continuing story of the three brothers-Guardians...There is something here...I only wish it was more fleshed out and longer.

so damn HOT! another intense story from Lisa Renee Jones! so freaking good!
well, I can say that this sequel to Hot Vampire Kiss was absolutely better than the first one! I enjoy reading HVK but this one was a blow!! so much with the Freaking THREESOME scene! yay! so mind blowing! *giggles* can't say much about this one, it left me speechless!! so love it a wicked way! :D
