“A boy’s story”, as R.L. Stevenson himself described it. Adventurous, humorous and -overall- fast-paced. There were some bits of description that weren’t the most captivating, but it’s certainly indicative of its time (and its author). The conclusion was wholly satisfying and the story was thrilling while still being palatable for a young audience!

Kidnapped is an exciting story about a boy trying to survive after being betrayed. The action and adventures are fun to follow, and the characters feel real. Some parts are a bit slow, but it’s still a great book so far.page 54
