Wonderfully Fierce, Detailed Dragons to Color
I absolutely adore the images in this pocket-sized dragon coloring book! The title calls this “dragons unleashed,” and most images show the dragons in action. I love how the publisher has used each image's facing page to tell a one-sentence story about the dragon. For instance, we are told that the dragon Pyroclast is emerging from a volcanic eruption amidst a lava flow and billowing smoke… and so it is! You'll find both medieval and Asian dragons in this coloring book. I love how the publisher has not given in to the recent, annoying trend of pre-coloring some areas black or grayscale. Yay! You get to make all the coloring choices yourself as the colorist. These images are very detailed, and I wonder how they will translate into a pocket-sized book. I received a digital copy of this book, so of course, everything looked great with a lot of detail on my computer. I hope that translates well in the smaller published pocketbook-sized images. If you love fierce dragons, you will probably enjoy coloring the ones depicted in action in this book.

These highly detailed drawings of dragons are stunning to look at and a joy to color. Each dragon is either named with a brief description of its traits or is preceded by dragon facts. Perfect for any fantasy aficionado. The only potential drawback is the text is printed in white text on a black background, which may be difficult for some to read.
