As children, we feared the boogeyman… Our parents comforted us when the monster under the bed or in the dark depths of our slightly opened closet threatened our safety. We cried when those evil creatures invaded our nightmares and stole us from peaceful sleep, but what if those monsters truly existed? What if they lived in a world not unlike our own, where all they wanted was the same basic needs that every human being spends their lives searching for? What if the things that go bump in the night only wanted to be loved? In the next twelve stories, you will read about vampires and werewolves, angels and demons, and monsters of all kinds overcoming some of the most difficult hurdles simply to find their one true love, to find their happiness. You’ll read of heated, salacious trysts beneath the moonlight and of lovers doomed before they even have a chance to find the one person who completes their soul. Join us as we wander through a dark world where nothing is what it seems, where rainbows after a storm are a rare miracle, where the boogeyman captures your heart and fulfils your sweetest dreams.
Evernight In A World of Darkness is one super hot anthology of sensual hot stories that makes your cravings to read more of these type of stories. I know I want more....Rating 5 Stars Brianna Martini
I am a married, 33 year old, female, with no children. By trade I am a network engineer with far too many years under my belt. My first book was published in 2010 by Kerlak Publishing, followed by a short story in 2011 through Dreamspinner Press. I don't have any formal training, I simply write what I feel. I have a vivid imagination and love building dream worlds for my readers to escape to.
I recently discovered that I am a hopeless romantic and that usually makes for some very turbulent stories. As most know, love is a mountain and at its peak there's infinite beauty, but it's best appreciated after a difficult climb... that's how I write. The world would be a boring place if we didn't have to fight a little for what we wanted, now wouldn't it.

Some of the stories are really good like Angel with Devil Wings and Tears of a Mermaid. There were some tales that were better left as drafts.
Angel with Devil Wings is Allison's story and the first of twelve. It's about a woman turned vampire who became a Fallen Angel's lover. It's hot and heavy right off the bat and it continued to be steamy til the end. I feel bad for poor Giano who died in pleasure and blood loss and Danika coming down forcefully from the high of sex and feeding to face what she did. Then the arcangel Gabriel appeared although personally I hope that it was some other Fallen Angel who became Danika's lover, there have been too many Gabriel's and not enough Rameel, Azazel or Araqiel. Anyway I heard that there will be an Evernight 2 and Gabriel and Danika's story will be part of it too.
Overall, they did the stories right, pushing the boundaries and giving the readers a different spin on the usual. Romantica encourages us to explore our limits and discover for ourselves if we're ready to move away from our comfort zone. It echoes our darkest fantasies that we dare not share with other people even our lovers. Some of the short stories in Evernight screamed those musing at the top of their lungs!
The very different collection of stories make a great book for lovers of the paranormal. Most of the stories were very good. A great value for the money.

When Kassy discovers the statue in a recent shipment of artifacts she finds herself drawn to it, to him. When translating the text that arrived with him, it mentions a kiss. What harm would it do...
Evernight is a collection of 12 romance/erotica short stories. Like most anthologies, there are some stories that stand out from the rest, for reason's both good or bad, and that remains true with this collection.
Tracey Steinbach wrote a thoroughly enjoyable tale about first impressions and second chances. Likeable characters including a sexy alpha who can admit when he's wrong and a strong female who is willing to fight for what she believes in. I would be interested in reading more books set in this world as it has lots of potential.
Tears of the Mermaid was an interesting tale too, one that felt as if it could be a prequel to a bigger series. I was left with questions about Aaron & his people. I'm awfully curious about his boss. It almost felt a little Pirates of the Caribbean to me with the language. All that was missing was the sword fights and rum!
Moonlit Hearts by Donya Lynne was one that I could see being expanded into a full length novel. The plot was interesting and I enjoyed the little twist. I hope to see more from this author in the future.
Anthologies on a whole are hard to rate. I would give this one 3 1/2 Stars. Some individual stories like the ones I singled out deserve more, but there are other not so good stories that pull the final score down. The Vampire's Mate was my least favorite of the bunch, and I urge anyone who chooses to pick this up not to be put off by it. The remaining stories are worth a read! Who knows - you may like it!

Allison Cassatta’s short story ANGEL WITH DEVIL WINGS is one of 12 stories in the anthology EVERNIGHT, presented by Ms Cassatta. In this story, a beautiful young woman, Danika, is unaware of the fact that she is a vampire and the consequences of her unbridled passion are severe and tragic. Following the catastrophic incident, the angel Gabriel comes to Danika with an offer to save her. Horrified by what happened to her boyfriend, Danika refuses Gabriel’s offers of help. The rest of the story is about Danika trying to come to grips with what she is and what she has done. Vampires and angels seek to bring Danika into their worlds and Danika must decide whom to trust. Ms Cassatta has such amazing powers of description that this story came alive for me, despite all of its paranormal and other-worldly properties. Although short in length, ANGEL WITH DEVIL WINGS is a complete story, with an HFN ending. The other stories in the anthology are all good, but for this review I am focusing on Ms Cassatta’s own story, which leads off the book. This is a great collection of stories that focus on the fact that humans may not be the only beings who seek out and need loving affection.
I loved the first book in this anthology Angel with Devil wings and i can't wait to get the rest of the story. I found the characters engaging and the story line flowed really well drawing the reader into everything that was happening. If there is one bad point about this story it is that it was too short and i was left wanting more. I will be checking out this authors other works and anyone that loves adult book should too.
