This was a satisfying end to their story. Very pressed with how everything turned out. Loved the growth in Jou and Sidney. Mookie and his brother can sip piss. They both messed up. Naomi was trash. I loved Big Reem.

Im happy with everyone’s ending and growth development. Sidney and Juleena got their healing journeys and happiness and support 🥰😩❤️ was surprised Staten was Sidney father cute tie in from the other series 🥹❤️

We don’t appreciate an authors talent for world building enough in the urban fiction genre. We get it when it comes to fantasy, the fairy worlds, the dragon riders, the trips to Narnia, but the hustla’s and gangstas get no love. Well Jahquel J gives all the love to her hood boogers she has built a world of hustla’s that love hard, trifling baby mommas or ex-wives, motorcycle gangs, hardworking women, goofies that ain’t worth shit, and retired parents in the Caribbean. And Mrs. J can pull you in, she connects all these characters and your jaw stays dropped! In this particular two part series, we continue to follow the Mather family, focused on the two older children who have returned to NY where they were born to attend college and start working. Julena decided on Fordham University so she could be closer to her hustling boyfriend. RJ decided he wanted to get into the real estate game and felt NY gave him a better playground to explore his sexuality. Their cousin Sidney, who is only 19, is living with her very grown man, playing house. These three go through some intense trials and tribulations as they approach young adulthood. They fall in love, get hurt by love, do some trifling stuff because of love and eventually start healthy lives. But this ride is crazy and I enjoyed it! My only gripe with independent urban novels is all the damn typos, my solve just listen to the audiobook!

Mookski was disgusting for doing that to Ju and then involving RJ into it. He seriously needs to seek therapy but prison might force him to come out. I feel bad he had to do time though due to him not standing up to his family. Rafi was a terrible uncle and human leaving his nephews out to dry like that. Meech deserved what he got for fumbling Sid’s heart. I was so mad a Rj for doing Ju like that and I hope his time in therapy helps him heal and deal with his insecurities surrounding his sexuality. I loved me some Ju and Sha and Sid and Reemy. I loved that both cousins got their HEA.

Just wow!
It is hard not to get attached to the characters Jahquel writes. There will always be drama, there will be various versions of love, and I am never ready for the story to end.
This is a great spinoff to Confessions of a Hustla's Housewife. When we first met Juleena , she was a smart mouthed 14 year old. In these books, we got to see her and the family grow and come into their own. We even got some characters from previous books, and it was a nice check-in to see that they are still having their happy ending.
Jahquel's pen game is unmatched, and I look forward to getting through her catalog.

Confessions
Book 1 left me speechless, However I'm glad that Book 2 played out the way that it did. Sid finally breaking free from all the CONFuFU in her life and getting her happily ever after in spite of everything Norma and Meech did to her... Super excited for JU getting the closure that she needed from RJ/ Mooski and having everything come full circle for her. Norma's devious deeds finally caught up with her.. I was not expecting that at all for her but why not she was just low down and beyond dirty.. She hurt all of her kids with her actions.

What an Amazing series! Loved every word, every chapter, every storyline! Just amazing! After going through it with the parents, we got to experience going through it with the kids as well. And it was oh so beautiful and rounded! Some may not have ended with happy endings, but those we favored did, and that’s most important. What I liked most is that it touched on real life issues that are experienced out there in the world, that may not be happening to us but to others, making it relatable. Never disappoint, always sure to get a fantastic read! Fabulous job!

Okay I'm going to say this I enjoy this book I like how she matured and focused on school I hate the she had to go through it all us women have to go through but it's also very slip in the face for your s Siblings to sleep with your man Also my purpose of giving 3 stars is I'm not okay with the end depth details of the sexual relationship of the RJ I could have done without all of that information notice any 1 in there sexual preference how either I don't wanna read that in my book just my opinion everybody has 1

Baby I’m in love with this spin off honey. You did the damn thing and I’m here for it. I loved every story and even loved how ju made rj work for that trust back. I hate how Norma died but it is what it is. What I really want is for roddy sr. And yves to get married because after all there the reason the spin off happened. The college seen was great as well. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more spin offs from this series. I recommend it to everyone.

This book had me clutching my pearls and kicking my feet! The drama was top-tier, the characters were messy in the best way, and the steamy moments?? Whew 😮💨🔥 Jahquel ain’t miss with this one! Go ahead and cancel your plans, sis—you’re about to be OBSESSED.

Meh…
Juleena was too much for me. Too spoiled. Too self absorbed. Too annoying. I found myself screaming shut up to her so many times. By the end of the book I was literally #TeamMooski she annoyed me so much.
I would have loved to see more Sidney, Reem and even a redemption story for the boys. Anything but hear Juleena’s aggy self.
Also the editing…is it really too much to spell and grammar check? It throws off the vibe.

This ending was it. I knew Norma was dead, and they never said who could've done it. I was so glad RJ and Juliana talked and Mooski only got a year. Rafi wad do trifling. I would love to hear more about how each character makes it after this, especially Kiosks!!! Loved it!!!

Happy it wasn’t drawn out in a second book. I believe Karma was served to all that deserved it. My only issue is that I wish Sid would invest in herself like she is with her siblings. What goals and ambitions does she have? Hopefully we can get an holiday update on them

It was sad what happened to Norma. She didn't deserve that even though she wasn't the best mother. Despite all of that, everyone got there happy ending, and I was too happy for Sidney because she went through so much, and she was finally able to find the light at the end of the tunnel. Great read
This was a great read. From the beginning, you are wrapped up in the madness. The characters have heat and so much love to give. All people want is respect Love and abundance. I really enjoyed this read. Would have liked to have known what really happened to Norma. But I guess my imagination will have to do. Great read recommend will mot dissapoint you.

So Good
This series was super short but I enjoyed every minute of it. I swear Jahquel J's catalog never disappoints. I'm going through all of her books now and I love her characters. She can tell a story y'all. She will have you stressed the heck out but it's worth it. I don't know what to read next.

I really enjoyed this series. I am so glad that both Juleena and Sidney found happiness with men that were deserving of them. Norma was a despicable person for the way she treated her girls, I would have loved to know the details of her murder.

My favorite does it again. I never would have predicted Norma's death. I wonder what made that man end her life? I guess we'll never know but I would love to see the characters 5 to 10 years from now. That would definitely be a story to tell.

This was a great read! The twist just kept coming! Who would have thought RJ would sleep with his sister’s boyfriend ! That is already crazy, but then to see Sidney being cheated on with her own mother almost had me over the edge!
