All she wanted was one last summer at the beach house...
When the unthinkable happens and Claire Thompson’s husband dies suddenly, she’s left wondering how to go on. Being a wife and mother is all she’s ever known. Grieving and lost, she decides to take her family for one last trip to their beach house before she’s forced to put it up for sale. The house is filled with happy memories, and it seems like a great way to remember Bryan.
But as she soon finds out, Bryan was harboring some complicated secrets. The kind that will change the lives of Claire and her daughter. And those secrets come to light while Claire is at the beach house, shattering her memories and making her realize she never really knew her husband.
How does she move forward with these new revelations? How will her daughter cope? What will become of them now that they know Bryan wasn’t the man they thought he was?
Claire can only pray things work out for them during their last summer at the beach house.
I love this series. I know the next book is the last. I really don't want this series to end. But all of her series that I have read, I never want to end. She is a great writer of clean romance novels. If you have the chance check out all of her series. This book was about everyone living their dream life. Trina and the hair salon, Willie and her marriage and new house, Claire and her bakery, Jules and her singing career and all the rest of the cast of characters finding love. Just a wonderful uplifting book..
I grew up on the East coast (Boston area) and spent a lot of my summers on Cape Cod. But I have been land-locked for the past 24 years, and I am not able to do a lot of traveling. So every summer, I miss the beach and the smell of the salt air and the easy living that summer brings. During the worst of the Texas heat I was wallowing in a full-blown self-pity when I came across Maggie Miller’s first book and I impulsively bought it. Just what I needed! Her story brought me back to the seaside and I could almost smell the ocean again, Thank you Maggie for getting me out of my funk….I love your books! They are the perfect summer reads😘👍🏻
I can always count on Maggie's books drawing me into the family of good characters developing their futures. Bryan was a cheater, never divorcing but marrying 3 different ladies from varied backgrounds. The proceeds and properties left his daughters, son and 3 wives Had a helped them build confidence in themselves. Excellent series.
A great read. Looks like everyones lives are heading for. Bigger things in life. Everyone is happy and love is everywhere. Kat starts her new job. Jules new song takes off and is a hit. The bakery and the salon are fixing to open.life is good for everyone
It's hard to write a review of a series when I am still in the middle of it. BUT, it's a very special series. The author, Maggie Miller, creates wonderful characters with whom the reader becomes a part of. I know them all intimately now and they are family. Please read this series from the beginning. You will not be disappointed, and you will become part of the family, too.
I love this series, I wasn’t sure after the first one that set things in motion but these ladies, friends and family are amazing. I love the twists and turns and a hoping this series goes on for a long while!
This is a great, easy to read, feel-good story of 7 strong women, the choices they make, the men they love, and the cute dogs that they spoil. I’m enjoying this visit to Diamond Beach. The series should definitely be read in order, and makes for a fun and relaxing escape to the beach.
Deliciously sugary love. They have all paired off following Willie and Miguels marriage. The small shopping center is fully rented and as soon as renovations are finished everyone will move in. Enjoy
It was hard to keep up with all the plans in this book. Matter of fact , the whole series. A down to earth happenings of a family turning tragedy into worth while reason to live.
I truly enjoyed this series. It was amazing how the 3 families came together as one big family after such a rough beginning. The story line was different and unexpected.
When I started this series, it was not what I thought it would be . I feel in love with all the characters . I had to find our what would happen . All the circumstances that happen could they all come out on the other side.
I hope I don't have to wait long for the sequel! This book set the readers up for several weddings plus a possible relationship for Dinah! Please don't make the readers wait long!!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series of books. Every one was unique. I didn’t get tired of the characters just got closer feeling to them. I highly recommend all these stories of this really amazing family.
I don't think I've read a series that mentioned carbs and sugar more than this series by Maggie Miller. I got the feeling she was trying to be body positive, but then leaned really hard into exercise and diet mind.
Great book. I loved all the blooming romances in this book. Characters' lives were coming together. Businesses were getting ready to open, and new jobs were beginning. Loved this book.
