Este tomo me toca la fibra sensible muchísimo. Tiene una escena que fuera de contexto no es nada pero que, para cuando llega, es oro puro.

Big changes!

What an emotional volume! This is the volume where the season 1 of the anime ended. I love that this volume (and the whole story actually) really focus not only about Nodame and Chiaki's weird relationship with each other, but also their relationship with music. It's what draw them close to each other and also what brings conflict. Music is both their first love after all.

Bukan hanya bakat mereka."

My fave volume so far! Nodame yang sangat kecewa karena kalah di kompetisi kehilangan motivasi buat main piano. Berhari-hari nggak bisa dihubungin, ternyata dia balik pulang kampung. Dan...... Shinichi sampai bela-belain jemput dia ke sana 😢 And not to forget THAT HUG! 😭😭

Fave volume thus far

I think that this point in the series was most enjoyable for me. There were many parts where the emotion of the illustration really came out. I enjoyed it.

So good actually. Nodame and Chiaki's relationship finally takes flight because we're serious and no longer fucking around with Nodame's character.

This review is for the series as a (almost) whole, reviewing after reading books 1-10.

It took me quite some time to really get into this series. Books 2-4 were okay. They kept me entertained and curious enough to keep going, but I don't think it was really until book 5 that I really got invested in the series and Nodame and Shinichi.

I'm not a fan of classical music so some of the lingo and storylines went over my head, but I got the gist of most stuff. Shinichi finds himself stuck with Nodame no matter how mean he is to her. He tries to make her aware that he wants nothing to do with her, but when something goes wrong he is always there. When she leaves their apartment complex mysteriously for a long period of time he must know what happened and if she's okay. And Nodame loves him despite everything. Even though she's a little nutty and extremely childlike she does her best to take care of him, ultimately giving him the greatest gift she could give him and he doesn't even know it.

Unfortunately, the library only has the first 10 books so I'm on the hunt for books 11-16 which is proving to be harder than I thought. I did also find that Crackle has the anime series available to watch!

i watch, dorama version :

Nodame - Noda Megumi is a girl who like playing piano since she is a little girl, but weirdy she can't read a music score ?? She play it with Cantabile Style - when she hear another people playing piano, she can remembered it and played it. She is a little like stupid girl who cannot cook and really lazy to clean her apartement where she live.

One day when she meet with Chiaki-sama - the son of a famous pianist who have a dream becoming a famous conductor. But too bad his fear of flying make his dream must wait. she teaches Chiaki something that he has forgotten for a long time that is to enjoy the music we play / hear no matter when and where.

I feel that Chiaki is falling for Nodame just because of her piano's skills...

He finally asks her to go with him to Europe, but she turns him down. She does not want to play piano and achieve "a higher goal" just becaue everyone tell her too. Go Nodame! Why people likes to meddle into other's people's life?

Chiaki goes then to Nodame's hometown after not hearing from her for a while (after the competition's final). And he meets her family, who are as odd as she is.

I was listening to Beethoven Symphony 7 while reading this. The RS Orchestra plays this piece in this volume.

Poor Nodame! She has a bit of a crisis when she realises her own competitiveness in the competition, and has to re-evaluate her future. I particularly enjoyed this volume as Chiaki started to realise how much he needs/values Nodame's company, and he even goes out of his way to travel to her hometown! Adorable! Also - I LOVE Nodame's family!

Relecture 2019 : beaucoup d'émotion dans ce tome qui clôt la 1ère saison de l'histoire. J'ai adoré cette série jusque là, elle est passionnante, drôle et donne envie d'écouter de la musique classique (^^;).
