You Are Not Asleep

Rate this book
YOU ARE NOT ASLEEP is a smart and playfully dark story book from the many bodied Melody Sumner Carnahan. It’s hard to forget the thick, living passages of women traveling, creating, transgressing; women who know their minds conclusively, and who have easily mapped the minds of their friends, and their men. Reading this book, through the three movements of shorts and plays, there was a continuum of mirrors that I would navigate through; crashing through as each perception exposed another hidden and obsessive pathology of a certain those awake. Sumner Carnahan is a fearless writer; flying, devising, cursed by a witch, consider her formidable, a change continuing.
